Exactly what I was saying. The S2K is one of the most visceral factory cars out there, this was similiar in feeling. In autocross the Z is a class lower but I get the times they run aren't too different and a road course would be another story.

I guess if the only way you can beat anyone is to drive a kart.....:dumb:

Nice. I drove a base Z a couple months ago and loved it. Very quick car, great steering and just the way the car followed the road was a nice sensation, not too terribly far off the S2000(which is a huge compliment). Only thing to be leary of is the brakes if you do any track stuff, they're small and fairly weak.

That Toyo is a beast of a tire, wish they had been available last year before I got my Kumho's. Mike S. was saying those Toyo's are apparantly stirring up some cry babies so the rules board within SCCA is taking in some public opinion somewhere on the rules about certain treadwear tires as I guess those Toyo's are pushing what a street tire is I guess. Maybe Kale has some better clarification? I can't keep up with any of that stuff anymore.

I'd like $400 which is what I paid for them, going to cost me a few to get the tires pulled off.

I told Jones to sign up for the school, ton of seat time. My help is limited and a diff perspective from someone else would likely help as well kinda like the Evo school does it, it worked for me. Jones did great, he was picking up his pace very rapidly and I'm very appreciative he let me drive his car, I've offered up my car in return but I won't blame him for turning it down as I don't want to drive my own car after being in his!!:dumb: Scotts miata wouldn't have been able to match the beetle, not in that weather but dry conditions could be diff. The only thing the beetle needs are some better tires, several people have told me those tires are not good though it didn't seem to matter yesterday!

That's Aaron R. old ride, unless someone just managed to get that plate after Aaron dropped it from selling his STi. He upgraded to a 996 GT3. Seeing the OVR SCCA stickers that is his old ride, looks more stock then I remember and obviously diff wheels. It's been driven hard but he always took good care of that car,

I'm selling a set of 17x9 o.e. Cobra rims with 275/40/17 Kumho Ecsta XS tires on them. Tires have only 5500 miles and 1 track day on them, probably close to 60-70% tread left. Yeah, several went right through the center of town, amazing nobody was killed considering how populated it is around there. I just passed thru there the morning after, had to take 20 thru town as they weren't letting people drive across 30 when I came by.
