  1. 10 tons?? Try 40 tons fully loaded. They're big sails basically, 13' 6" tall by 53' long, more surface area if they have the skirts under the trailer. I've personally seen a fully loaded truck blown over in Wyoming, with only 50mph winds, tornados churn at what? 150-200mph??
  2. It is, I did an event with the SCCA there years ago, can get a bit hairy when your up near that wall. While riding with my buddy in his mr2 he made the classic mistake of lifting off the throttle while coming down off the banking, I was staring down a huge tractor tire at about 45 mph in a sideways mr2, obviously he managed to save it but it was a bit spooky.
  3. Just don't forget the "LOL" and it'll all be good. I'll see what I can do Scott, going on and off that banking in a live axle car ought to be a riot!!
  4. Weak, I will try to make the fun event but I won't be able to run in my car, just dont have the time to do the rear end cover before hand.
  5. Yeah, the are several brands avail and I found some pics of cars with them on Corral, just a little curious about whats involved before I pick one up. My only real concern is how it mounts to the chassis as I've seen other cars that aren't really meant for towing like the Stang that it's fucked up the chassis.
  6. Anyone on here ever had a hitch mounted up on their Mustang?? Any issues with install or in towing?? How was the wiring? Certain brand of hitch you'd reccommend?? I will only be towing a small uhaul sport trailer so weight is not an issue and it's by far the most aerodynamic trailer I've found. Will make use of the hitch later for dragging around track tires etc.... Any input would be great. Ben
  7. Sunday May 6th, OVR event @ Ackerman, be prepared to have your angus' peppered!! I'm not sure if I can make the April event, even if I do the car won't be ready yet so if I get into town I may bribe someone into a codrive, if not the Mustang will be ready to go the 1st weekend in May as it's my last weekend in Ohio.
  8. I've never had any trouble surfing CR on my mobile phone.
  9. I've been surprised at myself with the Mustang. Yes it's s dime a dozen but there are endless ways to make it my own, probably more so than a civic even. I've had it 3 years now and it's only really begun to be modified, but it's a good start and I have a million little things I want to do to it and I think having to mod it slowly is probably the best way of doing it. It's been an exceptionally reliable car despite the track abuse and I can attribute no work being done to the car that wasn't because of it. I want a new Boss 302 bad but I want to keep my car and keep working on it which I think is the route I'll go as much as I know I would love having a Boss in the garage.
  10. Pretty cool. Someone posted a link on CR here not too long ago that was basically a slide show going in size from our moon to our entire solar system and so on until it showed our galaxy as a white spec against a massive gas giant millions of times the size of the Milky way!! Was unreal and made me feel quite small.
  11. Your in luck, your going to get a great look at the taillights of that bettle at the track day!!!
  12. One day I will see the earth from that perspective, somehow someway.
  13. What the hell is that from?? I've seen that before but can't remember where it's from. Adam, tug o war with my truck then??:gabe:
  14. Sold the Corbeau to Doc, still have the Butler but that's a bit extreme for what I want for this car, you might be up to date if you return a phone call once in a while.
  15. I prefer "Ogre" if you don't mind. Weren't we just having a discussion about this very issue? Unlike some people I wasn't born to be that perfect "driver" size dammit!!
  16. Hows that? You in th barge and us in wheelchairs??:lolguy:
  17. Thanx Jeff, found a few online places starting around $454 + shipping and the usual, according to Sparco I need their seat mount which doesn't even slide, may see if it can be made to fit my Corbeau rail which is a nicely made peice and slides!! Edit: They list my seat base as a special order and I'm guessing it doesn't slide either......annoying.
  18. I'm ready to purchase a Sparco seat and was curious if there's anyone around that can get a good price on them? I've been looking at the Sport Chrono Road and it seems even online they go for about $500 which is the same as direct price, hoping to pick one up for bit less at least.
  19. This. It's basically a souped up Beetle, I'll bet they even build it in the same plant which is why they cover the cars up for deliver so they won't be ashamed by being seen coming out of the same place as the Beetle. :lolguy:
  20. Your more than welcome to join "TEAM MIATA LOL" because that barge has a more tq in 1 cyl than any miata has in its engine!!
  21. Nice to meet you man, great color for that Coyote.
