A guy I race with that now has an S2000 said it costs almost half as much to insure the S2000 vs. the Prelude he had years ago.....it's not so much the type of car as the risk it represents by the types of owners.

^Yeah, well when you get stupid about it that can happen. Honestly I'd prefer it dry but I do love racing in the rain but for my first time up there it would be a lot easier if it were dry the whole time.

I'd like to attend as this is about the only event you can get the dsm'ers to come out but I'll be at Mid-Ohio that weekend. It's too bad this community has all but vanished except for a couple events like this.

Nice looking setup, the old roommate used a former workout bench that worked quite well but not as comfy as that. You guys might as well not buy a PS3 yet, GT5 probably won't come out until the PS5 or 6 is out as long as they are taking with that game.

We're going to play it by ear with the weather, if it's going to be rough we may drive back but don't plan on it as driving back and forth is taxing and not cheap.

Jake, that's not a dumb question at all. It's you driving your car on tracks like Mid-Ohio with instruction when you start out. Rob, good to hear and those are damn good tires! We're camping up there the whole weekend so if you want bring a sleeping bag and you can crash with us, I have a tent for up to 8.

Though I can't see the video you posted look up some from the San Fransisco region when they run at the local football stadium, it's a massive lot.

1 thing I noticed that I didn't get to find out about is the odd ducting in the side/rear of the DB9R's, you notice the side vents that went into the rears of the cars? Also,did you catch the Ford GT with the vice grip for a shifter just down from the Astons?? Thought that was pretty funny. Parking is not bad if you get there early enough, we still missed out on infield parking again though. Camping would have sudked as hot as it was!! The crowd doesn't bother me at all except when you can't get through the one paddock area because there was always a crowd around Danica's trailer.

Yep, we got blasted up there for a bit. We took shelter at first under the Corvette canopy but once the lightning was going they decided to kick us out from under the steel structure!!!

AJ, I had heard the same as well. Maybe they were in a bad mood from hearing this news. I wasn't near the pits during the race, kinda wish I was to at least see the one car on fire but I did have it and the viper spin out right in front of me twice.

You guys stay dry today?? We had a couple pretty strong storms up at M/O but all in all it was fun.

Great fun this weekend!! Finally getting to see the LeMans series and IRL cars in person was great! Funny thing, I quite literally ran into Tony Kanaan today, he came up from behind me in the paddock on a bicycle and I turned and ran into him almost knocked him off his bike!! I felt bad but he just smiled and waved and kept going. Those R10's are eerily quiet compared to everything else, at idle you can easily talk over the engine noise.
