So your telling me a 4300lb AWD car with a tq converted automatic and Ford's first attempt at direct fuel injection coupled with twin turbocharging is going to be a reliable car? lol Ford drivetrain engineers already said the engines output was limited because the transmission is not fit to withstand any more. SUV weight on an AWD system with high tq is not good for the already fragile trans. I'd take a 335 or S4 any day over one of these.

I saw a silver one with a carbon blade on Polaris getting on 71 north. He was getting on it hard too. Looked and sounded amazing. My dream car.

Its pretty amazing information. The thermate residue in the dust, the pools of liquid metal under all 3 buildings, and the diagonal cuts on the main support beams that are identical to the method used in bringing down a building with thermite is crazy. Also the entire Pentagon situation is nuts, 86 cameras, calling it a 757 when there was no debris and that its physically impossible for a 757 to travel at a low enough path or as fast as they say it was going to hit at that angle etc. Certainly looks like a missile or military jet from what they were saying. All nuts, and pretty upsetting that we will never know anything about that day. The personal testimonials were not the videos strong point because how many people believe in UFO's, Bigfoot and lochness monster and believe whole heatedly that they exist and that they saw them. It was the military personnel and explanation of facts that got me.

Pretty amazing stuff. Just watched all 107 minutes of it. Not sure what to say after watching that.

Has anyone watched this on youtube? I am just starting it. My brother told me about it. Any bias? factual? bologna? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3kBn1usddI

My dad and I talked about it and he seemed to think that it isn't in his best interest to let them know his intentions before the 30 days are up. He said that from his side, if he wanted a new car through the lemon law that there would be NO way he could NOT be able to get either of the lemon law alternatives if he waited until the 30 days is up. However if he calls tomorrow and says he is going to lemon law the car at 30 days, they potentially could overnight, or divert another available mechatronics unit to his car and have it taken care of before the 30 days, not entitling him to either option. What he plans to do is wait until the 30th day (August 19th) to place "THE" call to VWoA. He intends to explain that he is aware of the lemon law, and knows his rights and is willing to go forward with getting a comparable 09 GTI unless they are willing to do the following 2 things: 1) Pay for his car payment for the time his car was in the shop (lets assume 1 month) 2) Provide at minimum an extended powertrain warranty of 2 years and 40k miles totaling 7 years and 100k miles of warranty which will detail the entire DSG as covered (including clutch packs, mechatronics, everything) If they deny, then he will go through with the lemon law process. However he does not want to, and would rather get the extended warranty on his current car. I think that sounds very reasonable.

What happens to a lemon ? Sold by dealer or VW at auction ?
-
Got it, that clears up "clear". Thanks for the help, I will let my dad read all of this and go from there. I will let you know what next. Thanks again.

Thanks for the help. What does "clean" mean?

The way you typed the response makes it seem like he can ask for a new car before the 30 days occurs? If not, sorry. My understanding is on the 30th day, you have 1 of 2 options like you said. I am not sure which he would rather do, but we understand the options. I also read that they will try everything under the sun to pay you less than the 100% refund, and that they might try to solve the problem by other measures agreed to by both parties, such as extended warranties and free service etc.......which is something I could see my dad going for. Anything else you can clarify? I appreciate the help.

VW is having increased issues with their DSG transmissions in the 08 and early 09 cars. My dad's 08 just happened to be one of the cars that have had the problem. He is currently on his 23rd day of having his car at the dealer because it is unsafe to drive because of the defective Mechatronics unit (transmission control unit). They are supposedly back ordered and the average wait time is 6 weeks. The 6 week waiting time is obviously over the 30 or more days indicated by the Ohio lemon law. He is concerned about future transmission problems because of the current problem and is interested in the lemon law-ing the car. I was just wondering if anyone has had to lemon law a car before, and what types of stuff we can expect, or if you had any tips or information. Thanks guys.

Yeah, besides the health and personal reasons, I will be graduating OSU in December and would really like to be thin(er) by then. I am sure being fat isn't the best way to get a job. lol.

I am sure it isn't actual hunger, but its the hunger feeling I used to provide food to. I have to train myself and my body that I will be eating smaller meals more often. I didn't get to 345lbs by not eating when I "felt" hungry. lol I used to eat regular meals whenever I got the slightest hunger feeling. Can't do that, therefore my body is sending hunger signals.

Thats actually how I used to make milkshakes lol. I have choc protein, natural PB and bananas. I will probably make one for breakfast tomorrow morning. I have been doing pretty good today. I need to teach my body that it is going to be hungry again. I am not used to it yet, but have been doing very well. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info. I'm mostly eating chicken. Looks like there are a few options online. Lawry's Carb Options Barbecue Sauce was found in a local store along with Kraft Carb Well BBQ sauce.

Well considering the Gen 3 only had the intake runners designed by Yamaha, its not a real SHO either..........The new SHO is just a badge, just like anything else. It is their way of indicating a high performance Taurus. The tie of SHO to the Yamaha engine is not valid in my opinion. You can argue labels all day long, but at the end of the day, its the high performance Taurus which means SHO.

I started my diet today and have done really well. I wrote down all of the nutritional info on the foods I ate today and entered them in a spreadsheet. A few things I didn't check before I ate them: Pecans ass fuck you with bad stuff, as well as hidden valley ranch dressing. lol. Crossing both of them off of my list and replacing them with fat free Italian dressing and Almonds. I have a few questions regarding bbq sauce. Has anyone found a low carb bbq sauce? 30g of carbs is attributed to 2 servings of kc masterpiece bbq sauce. I love BBQ sauce and don't want to eliminate it from my diet. Also, fruit is very high carb (sugar), but is very good for you. What is the general consensus on fruits? I made a smoothie with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and 1/2 banana. 41g carbs, but lots of fiber and 175 calories. Its a great snack. Just 2 questions, thanks for the help in advance.

Well the A3 is the closest right now. It would be tough, but doable. Shit even if the new S-RS's were 3500lbs, thats 350-500lbs less with the same power would do wonders. Especially with the new weight distribution of 55/45. It would only help. At least we can dream. My GTI is 3150 stock, so it shouldn't be too hard to get mine comfortably at 3000lbs with full interior.
