Sedans are cheaper and look better, IMO. I'm in the minority here that don't love their styling and lack of wide fenders. I'd rather a new M3. Supposed to handle well, engine is supposed to have good power, but MEH overall. Great on paper performance.

The people who hate on APR are hipster craft beer tools. APR is the way to go for software, IMO. I'd look elsewhere for intakes/exhausts/suspension/brakes, etc (their turbo kits are good though). You pay a huge markup for their hard parts.

I have a gas line plumbed in the garage. I'll be sure to review this thread when I'm home tonight. Would love to get a heater up for the winter.

The 2015-17 engines are putting out 380ish at the wheels stock. With an intake/tune, they should be just at or slightly over 400whp.

There is no way I'd put my car in that place. The fryers stink up that restaurant like crazy, and the residue/smell gets everywhere. I worked there for a few years in highschool/college and I'd try my hardest to talk anyone out of doing that.

7k shouldn't be an issue, but these things can spin up to past 8k with basic mods. You mentioned growing into it, mod wise, over the years. I'd do it now so you can just bolt on the GT350 IM/TB and get the perk of high 7k rpm power for autocross and HPDE.

Since the engine is out, and you'll be tearing it down for the cams, I would 100% do the Oil Pump Gears. Do some research, some do them/cam gears and crank damp all at once, should still be some black friday sales for these parts. This will set you up to spin it high if you want, and have a pretty much bulletproof engine.

It'll be interesting to see how 2-4 will shake out assuming everyone wins out as expected. It seems to be that they're putting the teams in this order to justify Alabama, OSU, Clemson and Washington/Big10 winner.
