  1. I am bored and was going to go for a drive and wanted to see if anyone wanted to tag along. I don't have a specific route in mind, so I am up for anything. Let me know.
  2. Could be the worst pictures ever posted on CR.
  3. red heads are so hot............ she looks amazing
  4. that sucks man. My dub needs about 500 in brakes asap. Wont happen for a few months though.
  5. I like it. However the classes are a major joke. The majority are Consumer Science classes with about 1/3 being the actual business/financial type classes. It is a great major to get into, lots of options for employment and its an easy major to get into. I am very happy I went this route. I may not find my "career" by having this major, but it will surely give me a great basis to get a job and find out exactly what I "want" to do. Either teaching or financial planning, or both.
  6. Second to last Quarter at OSU for a BS in Human Ecology - Family Resource Management degree with a focus on banking. Essentially be a personal banker at a local bank, sell annuities etc. I also will probably go back to school to be a financial planner (only 2 or 3 classes) and then probably get my masters in FRM so I can teach at a university.
  7. My credit union only went back to 2004, 5/3 went back to 1999 etc. To get an older car, you can get an unsecured loan from 5/3 or any other bank for 13% interest, for 36 months for up to $10,000. That is what 5/3 told me a few weeks ago. There isn't a car I can think of that I would pay 13% interest for.
  8. Its funny that you bring this up. I am exactly like you, go 20-25mph in the school zones and get passed like I am standing still. It pisses me off that they don't have the respect to follow the rules in the school zone. You can drive like a complete ass hat and I wouldn't care, but school zones are another issue. Oh, and driving slow in the fast lane on the highway. lol.
  9. I would look at a VW Rabbit. Fun to drive, great room, great options, great price. 2 or 4dr can be had for around 10k with certified warranty. My wife has one, loves it, I had one, liked it, and I have a GTI, love it. However a 2006 GTI can be had for around 13-16k with or without the certified warranty (very much worth the price premium) Other than that, I would look at the Fit, and the Mazda 3.
  10. Same caliper is used in the 2004-2008 S4, 2005.5-2008 A4, MKV R32 and Passat 3.6 4 Motion. As far as I know, that is what they are used in, and they all use the same 345mm rotor except the A4. It should be easy, follow Jones link.

    Lifted

looks great man. Time to get some wheels.
  12. I demand a ride when this happens...
  13. Well a maintained RS6 with records and lower mileage is still pulling a premium. These are cars that can and will eventually be big money to keep. With that said, if they offered a 6mt, I would be driving one now.
  14. The best collection I have ever seen. Amazing. And a Santorin B5 S4 to boot lol.
  15. And you thought the S4's would blow turbo's because of heat............I couldn't imagine throwing a bigger engine in the B5 engine bay than the 2.7. Heat is their #1 enemy, let alone a significantly bigger engine with even less cooling. My god, I would love to drive that car, but would not like to work on it when it breaks.
  16. My heart is telling me to go with the SHO, my brain is telling me to go with the fox. I can get a much better SHO than I can a fox for the price. But because this car is NOT my DD, I am leaning towards the fox body. Anyone have a lead on a solid mustang?
  17. is that too much to ask for? lol
  18. A project car for me is one that I can put my work into and don't have to drive it daily. The Jetta VR6 and SHO both have great V6's for turbo applications and both handle good for a FWD car. I don't want to build a car from the ground up like "project" car implies, I am just looking for a cheaper car that will be fun to "mod"........you know, like a project. lol what the hell would you guys call it then? I have a good daily, I am looking for a project car.
  19. haha good point. I want a car that I don't have to drive daily, that I can have down time with when I want to mod something, investigate a problem etc. However I would like it to be drivable so I can get some instant gratification. The SHO and Jetta would be easy to get what I want for that price. I am looking for a long project, big plans down the road, but something that I can take advantage of now with the small stuff for a while.
  20. I have had 2 gen 2 SHO's. I am very familiar with all parts of the car and their expense. They have remained one of my all time favorite cars though. The SHO prices are well within my range.......and I will only buy a manual trans car. Thanks
  21. I am trying to get a project car for my birthday in April. I want to spend about 3k on the car. The only rules are that it has to be drivable (have good brakes, tires, engine, trans etc), 0 rust with good paint, and only dents that can be taken care of at a paintless removal place. The 3 on my list are (flame suit on): 1. 1992-1995 Taurus SHO 5 speed 2. MKII/MKIII Jetta VR6 5 speed 3. Fox body 5.0 5 speed Anyone have any other suggestions, opinions? Thanks guys.
  22. forgot about him, his pearl white looks great.
