Car looks great. Always liked the 300zx, and yours is a very clean example. Not a big fan of the front lip though. Doesn't flow well with the car as a whole, but doesn't look bad either.

I think a lot of people push their wheels out too far with spacers. I would only do a mild 5mm rear spacer. I would check out audiworld.com or audizine.com and have him search through some threads about spacers in the B6 forums. That will give him more than enough info with images.

Your right, all of the pictures and videos posted on here have to do with racing. :gtfo: Slow is relative, thats what I meant by my comments. A low 13, high 12 sure isn't fast for those on here, but it is about all the hot hatches can expect without a huge turbo. There were probably a few dubs there that would hand you your ass. Its easy to rave about the car, but when it is your hard earned money that you are throwing down, I bet you will cross shop other cars for 43k. Hell a 2007 Audi RS4 Certified Pre Owned with around 20k miles can be had for low 40k. You can also get a 1 year old S4, M3, New 335, new G8 with 10k in your pocket, G8 GXP, 1 year old CTS-V etc. All will DESTROY the new SHO in ALL categories. No way I will spend more than 30k on anything american besides the Corvette and the CTS-V.

Holy crap, talk about Ford doing exactly what they always do. Over pricing their products so that huge rebates are in order after a few months. It will weigh 4200lbs, have 365hp, auto trans only, AWD and have a base price of 38k. Loaded at about 43k. The G8 GT should be able to have similar 1/4 times with a faster trap speed for around 30k. And the price comparable GXP has optional 6mt will wipe the floor with it. As a former SHO owner and life long SHO enthusiast, I am really disappointed in their pricing. At 35k loaded it would have sold strongly imo. I bet within the first year, you will be able to get one for about 35k after the rebates, which will kill the cars resale value ala Mazdaspeed 6.

This can be said of ANY group of enthusiasts. F-body/Stangs/Eclipse/Evo/Sti/VW's etc. With no hopes of 10 second passes, most are happy with low and slow.

I got about 24 mixed driving my 5 speed and I beat on my car daily. My wife has an auto version and gets 24-26 mixed. She has more city driving than highway. Hope this helps a bit.

When I joined the VW community about 2 years ago, the style and "norm" of mods were quite shocking. I have grown to love a lot of it though. If you aren't rubbin, you aren't dubbin........... Factory 4x4 here lol.
