  1. Guys, for the updates and new comers, if you could copy the list from the last post and make the changes yourself, that would help me greatly. That way I can just copy the list on Sunday nights and post it back on the first page. Updating 30+ people will get hard, and confusing as the weeks go on. Thanks guys.

  5. Yep, 12-13 is the perfect number. However being so out of shape, I was glad to loose the first game 2 weeks ago.
  6. Breakfast is important, gets the metabolism going and burns the food you eat to help give you sustained energy throughout the day. Toast is an easy, good meal. Brownberry bread is awesome. I had a banana and 2 slices of toast with smart balance butter. Took 2 minutes to make, 1 minute to eat lol. I had grilled chicken and rice and some chips and salsa. Doing good, not going to kill myself until I get 2 solid weeks under my belt, then I can start being anal about what I eat. And as you said, New Years will be filled with beer, and bad food, alont with the day after hangover aid food. But my total caloric intake will be hugely down, even when eating bad, I just wont eat AS bad.

  10. Yep, its expensive. 2 grilled chicken sandwiches at wendy's was like $6-7. I ate A large mcdonalds nugget meal with large fries, large coke and a double cheeseburger for 6.50 last week. I also bougth apple sauce, fat free choc pudding for snacks.
  11. I am good about drinking water throughout the day, and a diet coke with my meals when I need some taste. I ate 2 whole grain slices toasted with smart balance butter and a banana for breakfast (11am) just now at 4pm I had a spinach and field greens salad with blue cheese crumbles, chopped walnuts and rasberry pecan dressing.mmmmmmmm was it good and not bad for you either. (besides the blue cheese) fat free dressing and nuts and greens. Not sure whats for dinner though.
  12. Thats fine. There are some on here with that goal. Since you need to focus on building muscle, it applies to us too. As long as you don't just want to add on lbs by way of eating, then you are welcome here. I will wait for your response before adding you.
  13. Awesome to hear. I did really well on my first day. I also went shopping and bought lots of healthy food, although the fresh fish counter wasn't open that late(10PM) so I still need to pick up some salmon. I am going into this with a different mind frame than ever before. Before if I were to slip up and eat bad, I would say that my diet is done and stop trying. Now I understand that a bad meal out of 3 or 4 daily meals is not the end of the world. I will just have to refocus my efforts and work a bit harder. So far I think this has worked out great. PS. Went to buy pine nuts for salads, small container was $11 :gtfo:
  14. I ate grilled salmon, wild rice pilaf, broccoli, side salad with ranch and 3 cheesy biscuits. Went to Red Lobster. I usually eat 6-8 buiscuits, ceaser salad, double mashed potatoes along with 2 chicken breasts and 6 shrimp. I am really proud of my first day. Did very well, and didn't starve myself. Basketball tomorrow also.

  16. You have to cook chili slow, my wife made chili in like 30 minutes. I couldn't eat it. It was a recipe that her mom made for me once before and was great. Just fyi.

Installing my boost gauge and then going shopping.
  20. I am going grocery shopping tomorrow to get ready for this. Planning on buying lots of salmon, tuna, chicken breats, lettuce, carrots, red/orange/yellow peppers, pine nuts, apples, bananas, grapes, low fat vanilla yogurt, granola, various marinades, fat free chocolate pudding.........to name some off the top of my head. I will let you guys know if I buy anything I think is worth mentioning when I get back. I think my goal is to play basketball once or twice a week depending on my schedule. My friends do it during the week, and CR has it on the weekend. I also plan on dieting. I will be waiting to add in the weight lifting and treadmill until I am consistently eating right and playing basketball.

Thanks guys. Alright guys, Monday, December 29th, 2008 starts the CR weight loss challenge. The purpose is to form a group that helps people reach their target weight and or workout goals; from running 5 miles to loosing 100lbs. Every Sunday will be the Weigh In. Post up your starting weight and your weight as of that day. Also a brief explanation of what got you those results would be helpful to others as either a good idea, or something to watch out for. EX: 345/342: I did not eat any fried food, but I did not exercise or work out. You guys can use this thread for anything weight/workout related, but lets keep it on topic. I thought it would be a good idea for those in the group to keep an eye out every Sunday to make sure everyone on the list posts up. If you notice someone didn't post, send them a PM to keep their interest or find out what is going on. I figure a few of us will need some help keeping on the weight loss path. We have 16 people so far, and hopefully many more. Here is the list, feel free to add yourself to the list or change your target or current weight.   22. I was thinking every Sunday would be the "weigh-in/check-in" day. I am going to start another thread to get things rolling. I am starting on Monday, and going shopping on Sunday! If anyone wants to hit up an unhealthy last meal tomorrow, let me know. I am down.
