  1. Sounds good man. See you around. Hows your brother doing?
  2. Ridgebacks are sweet. Good luck with the search.
  3. Yep........... Aaron Batey, big guy, 6'6" friends with brandon deford, keith cornelius, andy nystrom, eric neil, dated jaimee gribbon. I had the White Taurus SHO, and maybe a Blue SHO as well, can't remember when I wrecked the white one.
  4. I need a ride sometime anthony, quite an upgrade from your highschool cars.
  5. Our Christmas isn't until 4:30 since my wife works until 3:30 as a nurse making double time and a half. So I have been bored all day.
  6. Aaron

    Weirder than that

That is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen.
  7. I went to pick up some last minute gifts and some groceries last night. It was after 6pm though. Stupid Christmas hours lol. Anyone find anything open?
  8. 6'6" and 340lbs and this got my eyes watering..... We got our first dog (Boxer/Ridgeback) about a year and a half ago and I can not imagine what you are going through. Its like our first child. I am truley sorry about your loss. Have a Merry Christmas.
  9. Indeed they are. You can get some non CPOd ones for under 20k easily. I saw a C6 S6 at Petsmart at Polaris........god I love those cars. It would be a fantastic replacement for the D2 S8 down the road And the RS4 is on a short list of cars for me in about 2/3 years. Should be about 30k by then, most 2007s are hovering around 50k now. The VF supercharger looks awesome, but I don't know if I would want to risk it on a such an expensive engine.........
  10. Hampton's on King and Neil is open tomorrow. My brother is bartending I think.
  11. I had more than a few people ask if my dads b6 s4 was supercharged because of the whine. My dad and I both miss that car.
  12. They are nice, but I would take a new M3 or RS4 instead. I think the engine is made by Yamaha, on the IS-F.
  13. Agreed. Try junkyards, you might even not have to paint it if you find the right color. I can get it through Hatfield VW for $32 New, unpainted. Let me know.
  14. Yep, thats even better. lol Good luck man. Your MKIV looks great.
  15. Yeah, his car is the one I am referring to, the Red JTI with turbo twists. Met him at Columbus State and at a few Hatfield meets. Not a fan of the poke he runs, but the car looks great. Its your car, and you sound like you really want to try the time attack and mirrors. Just go for it but do the wheels temporarily. Clean them real good and throw some plasti-dip on them. That way you can peel it off if you don't like it. And use the pinstriping tape for the red time attack that way it is totally reversable if you don't like it. Drive it for a few days/weeks and evaluate. Mirrors can be painted back easily so just do those. Good luck and throw up some pics when you do it. Oh and one last time lol, keep it the same!!
  16. I keep dreaming beyond my knowledge base.......... Oh well...... Thanks guys.
  17. They have been put in many cars. Old hot rods, ac cobras, ford rangers, ford tempos, for ford probes.......... I was looking for some info on the frame.
  18. If you have the money, do a Jetta front end. I think JTI's look awesome.
  19. 1 please don't do time attack............please Car looks great as is.
  20. A few of the links I found did say that there is a large chance that the handling would be horrible. That is actually another one of my questions. lol. I have way more questions than answers. I imagine that the chassis that is chosen would be the handling limits the "new" car is capable of. So if I choose an S-10, the best I can hope is to handle like the best S-10, and not like the car it looks like. The purpose of the build would be a weekend warrior/drag car. Not a roadcourse car like my last thread indicated. Since handling would not need to be its most important attribute, I still think this build has a chance. I love the sleeper aspect of the SHO and the 3.2 Yamaha V6. It is capable of huge power numbers when F/I. Mating a mustang 5speed would be the way to hold the power.
  21. I think about all kinds of stuff when it comes to cars. It is usually Audi/VW and the Taurus SHO. I know I want my project car to be the SHO, I just am trying to figure out how to make it handle the power it can produce with F/I. Mating up a stong transmission is the only way to do that, and that leaves RWD as my option. I am just trying to figure out some of the basics on how to mount a unibody type car that usually uses a front subframe only to a RWD ladder type frame which seems to be the most recommended way to do a RWD conversion. Most RWD cars have shorter wheelbases than the SHO, and most trucks have longer, so I was trying to find out how this can work. I did find out that a C6 Corvette has nearly identical wheelbase and track dimensions! lol. MKV will stay my DD, with some R32 brakes and suspension. I need a project car, badly. 9 months until graduation, so I need to find out what car I want to go with by then. lol.
  22. I am trying to get some general information about how to shorten a wheelbase and extend or shorten the track of a frame and also how to drop a FWD car body onto a frame...... I am researching this via google and was wondering if anyone has any experience doing this. Do you cut a center section out of the frame and reinforce the cut? Do you move the rear suspension forward? How will a unibody car that usually has a front subframe accept a full frame? Some info or just links would be great. Thanks guys.
  23. I might be able to get you a deal at hatfield. I can call them tomorrow. Which side is it. Try ebay......
  24. I think I am going to be keeping the GTI to get my feet wet with. It is a very capable car and with the suspension and brake mods I want for it, will be a great base to learn the basic skills needed before I buy a dedicated car. R32 brakes all around with SS lines, caliper bushings, hawk HP+ pads and fluid Bilstein shocks/H&R springs and a rsb lightweight wheels and good tires That is the plan. Learn how everything works, then develop my skills then figure out what car suits me from there forward. Thanks guys. You have been a great help.
