  1. residential customers probably makes a lot more sense for what you are looking for and especially to start. It's not practical to have a full time job somewhere and do commercial work, the other thing to think about is if you are looking to do this with your new truck, the abuse to it is extreme. From my experience managing 50 subcontracted snow removal companies each year, If you do decide to get into commercial at some point, you will most likely be starting as a sub for another snow removal company. Another option is sidewalks, there is a lot of money in commercial sidewalk clearing and more servicing then plowing. As said previously, most service contracts are locked in because the company already does some other service for that location.
  2. Looks like he found a place, in case anyone was still wondering.
  3. If you are on the East side, Creekside in Gahanna was amazing and very cost friendly. Feel free to ask for Rebecca and tell her the Turbitt's sent ya and she will take good care of you.
  4. Looks like they brought back a previous employee.
  5. Only advice I have is don't Germain on Sawmill for it. Normally they have the worst deals, love to attempt bait and switches and the couple guys I dealt with last time I was there knew only major bullet points.
  6. A few have sent in resumes, feel free to keep them coming. Bump.
  7. The only issue I draw from this is that the state openly came out and said " Hey, yea we aren't really sure this is going to work/work like we think it's supposed too. Guess we will just give it a shot and see what happens." Of course a lawsuit came out of it... Obviously, hopefully it gets shot down and laughed out of court.
  8. Enricos is amazing, I've been eating there for 25 years. Tiz is an amazing lady and well worth knowing. Other good options in the area are Iacono's(Hilliard and Dublin rd) and Jets.
  9. hey guys, my work is looking for another full-time mechanic. I've never worked in a shop but from my time hanging out over there it seems to be a solid environment. Most of the guys over there are a bunch of good ole boys. Downtown Columbus. 90% of the job is PM's on the company owned fleet. Looking for someone that plans to stay awhile, not flighty guys that get itchy for a change every few years. Pay is based on experience with normally lots of OT opportunities. if I had to throw a number out I would say +/- 40k-ish. Most of the vehicles are special to our business so it will be a lot of hands on learning but nothing seems too wild. off the top of my head they do a lot of rough fab/welding/grinding, PM's, hydraulic work. benefits, raises, retirement etc, etc... More then welcome to reference me or PM with questions and I'll answer what I can. send resumes to resume@sweepers.com Thanks, Matt T
  10. So we bring a dozen to autox.... I like this idea Plus locks up half the inventory for the day.

    TV repair

This is the exact tv as ours, weird... We got error code 7 and the P board was swapped out. Then got error code 8 defective panel. Hopefully you have an easier fix. Like you our build date is like September of 2013? Hopefully their is a better fix/option as we hate to throw out a $1500 tv.
  12. Once my window thermometer got to -5 it changed from numbers to just saying 'LO'
  13. State Farm was the cheapest option for us when we looked recently but we stayed with Liberty Mutual because the difference was negligible and it was more convenient to stay with what we had. Ps if it helps the rebuild vs payoff debate. When we were looking the rebuild would have been twice what we still owe so it was an easy way some some insurance companies to give real cheap rates by only covering our payoff.

    TV repair

The only thing I can mention is that something similar happened to our 2 yr old 55" plasma, it was 2 blinks or 4 blinks which meant a circuit board. So we replaced it and then it would blink 7 times (I think) which meant the plasma tube was bad. So now it just sits in our garage because it would cost more to fix it then to buy a new one.
  15. Turtle Beach makes a gaming set that comes with an optional external amp. If you are willing to be in the $150 - $200 range they are amazing. Also, if it's more casual, I have buddies who use real nice bluetooth and other wireless ones for pc gaming and love not being tangled up around the chair etc.
  16. what a coincidence, I was watching this guy go flying down 270 weaving through cars at around noon today. Seems fitting.
  17. If you haven't looked their yet Menards might be a possible option for you. They have a pretty decent sale going on now through the 8th for home improvement products.
  18. What are the sink and toilet in that bathroom like?
  19. That. Also, wall sconce(s) next to the vanity if it still not lit enough.
  20. A few of us around here are very fond of bluenile.com. You won't get a steal per-say but you get hands down the best customer service possible and it's no haggle/hassle, jsut to throw another name in the pot.... I believe they are running a pretty good diamond sale right now as well.
  21. Cannot say enough about Trish on here, great to work with, flexible, extremely helpful and she is very creative with still keeping it subtle, not over the top.
  22. Probably the most important question here is what area are you looking for? The last thing you want is an agent from Westerville helping you shop in Grove City etc.
