  1. I love how they make zero mention of the spaghetti that is 315N > 270E right on top of 270E > 23_.
  2. If the folks you're inviting know you (and/or your fiancee) have been on your own for quite some time, then odds are they know you've got all the "stuff" that comes with owning a home, and dump checks/gift cards on you anyways. If you're worried that they won't, create a registry somewhere and put just the few things you don't have, or have always said "Yeah, it'd be nice, but it's a toy not a tool" items on it, but keep it *SHORT*. That way, when people go to visit it, they'll see "Oh, everyone's already gotten everything... might as well just be lazy and cut a check."
  3. Why not get a Gremlin? They're better than a Prius, y'know :fuckyeah:
  4. Dunno if http://www.trailspace.com/gear/hillary/10-person-rio-grande-4-room-family-dome-tent/ is exactly the same model or not, but your price seems in the ball park. That said, the reviews aren't stellar, and if it's been in a box in your attic for 10 years, it might not even be fully intact anymore... best take it out, set it up in the back yard for a couple of days, and make sure it's salable first (sez the Eagle Scout who saw more than one tent go bad because of improper storage by noobs)
  5. Not sure about "missing" but it does appear that the spot on the right where the bare copper is exposed got pretty toasty for some reason, which could explain why the board stopped working. Hard to tell from this pic, but at the top-center, there could be an accidental solder bridge hanging off Mickey Mouse's left ear as well.
  6. 1. Maybe, but I'd be worried about algae growth on the underside of said acrylic. 2. Not all fish food floats
  7. Option that my realtor suggested when I was shopping and got into a bidding war... Decide the max price you're willing to pay for the property (say $250k). Then rather than just out and bidding $250k, write your B&FO as "I will beat any other written offer by $1k, to a maximum closing price of $250k." At that point, if the seller says "You've won," they have to hand over the second-place offer so you can verify you're paying the correct price. If they say "You lose," then the only thing you've lost is the opportunity and some time.
  8. Yeah, I've seen them at AA... neat little things, but I'm not entirely sold on the fish not accidentally jumping out. There's something to be said for a roof over top of things.
  9. "Trying" is the operative word here, folks :gabe:
  10. Any others besides Grove? (and that opener looks pretty sweet, nice and small, wouldn't be hard to pipe the power over at all given that I currently have no openers at all)
  11. Bumping up for other suggestions... Brent's been quiet (there was one weekend he was in my area, but I was already busy, and he hasn't gotten back on my last PM), so I'm guessing either I'm a bit too far away, or he's just buried in other work.
  12. Trying to expand on the query from December, as I've found that the two zeros shouldn't actually be zero. One is a system classification, the other anomaly type. The classification comes from the [dbo].[mapLocationWormholeClasses] table, wormholeClassID field. Still trying to find where the anomaly column is, but I'll eventually have to expand the script to include that, as well. much help, please!
  13. Who pays any attention to channel 6??
  14. How can a house be "new construction" and at the same time, bleeding rust?
  15. He really ought to call Andy and have that thing cleaned up. Would probably double the sale value just by making it look good.
  16. Heheh... Asakai. *THAT* was an accident; the titan pilot attempted to create a bridge (artificial wormhole) for his support fleet to get into that system and cut down on travel time, but clicked jump by mistake, leaving himself high, dry, and utterly alone+defenseless.
  17. There was no typing the wrong shit.
  18. Been playing for almost 10 years now. I'll see you at the top of the curve (bulldozing your corpse outta my way). http://smmobl.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/learningcurve.jpg
  19. Yes, if the intend to use anything they found in there as evidence of a crime by the homeowner. Personally, winning a judgement under the Third Amendment will be difficult at best (despite their paramilitary nature, police are not soldiers), though there are probably a number of other civil and legal statutes they could claim torts under.
  20. Is that something that came OEM? The two caps on the left are clearly bulging, cause unknown. The wires coming out of the spades don't look like they've melted at all, which would suggest corrosion rather than heat.
  21. Found a pair of old threads, but on the off chance that brent's not around or not doing doors anymore, I'm looking for a couple of options for my two single-car doors: 1. Basic tune-up, spring adjustment, minor lock repairs 2. Replacement of both doors 3. Conversion to a single large door Reviews and suggestions, please
  22. You'll get a lot more out of Williamsburg if you have something specific in mind. If you go "just because" you'll be bored out of your skull. However, if there's something you're really itching to learn about (how could 1700's printers churn out hundreds of "educational" flyers on a weekly basis), then it's easy to spend an entire afternoon just talking to the printer about techniques, technology, materials, and all that crap. The folks who work there aren't just paid interns, but pretty much "live" in that time period. The printer relies on the blacksmith, who relies on the trader, who relies... As for live shows, the local judiciary hearing was a hoot
