I've seen them around Delaware lake. I know a spot where were one likes to nest, too. Never taken an egg or disturbed her when I've seen her, though, other than to take a pic w/a crappy camera phone. I hope she nests in the same place again this year. Here's a pic of the nest. Well, was gonna post a couple pics but can't freakin find them, now. Around a dozen eggs this last time.

Are these ants doing any property damage? If not, they're harmless. I can go in my back yard and find 3 heavily populated species of ants. I haven't had a problem with any of them for a long time. ANytime I have, I get rid of whatever it is they're after and then destroy their scent trails. After a couple times of that, they always leave and continue to live outside doing their jobs and keeping down the insect population around my house. I also don't kill the House centipedes in my garage. Creepy, fast little buggers, yes. But I have almost no spiders etc in my garage.

As long as you set it up properly and maintain proper water chemistry, you'll be ok. If you do want to start a saltwater, you'll want to 'age' the tank. I've always recommended to start with cheap damselfish for at least 3 months before adding in any other, ie; more expensive fish. Damsels are cheap and hardy and a good way to cycle the aquarium.

Well, just with water, not counting the weight of the tank and/or stand: 14*8=112lbs Plus, you'll probably have at least 10-15lbs of rock/sand anchoring the bottom. I'd love to pick this up if I had the money/space.
