There is one thing that is much more important than the brand of vacuum you use.....make sure you are bonded! It's only a couple hundred bucks a year and it will save your ass the first time someone accuses you of stealing that diamond ring she supposedly had laying on her night stand. Also, offer discounts in exchange for referrals..ie: 10% discount to referring client after new client pays for initial clean. I also saw on craigslist a couple wanting a woman to clean while they followed her room to room having sex..charge extra for that.

Jury duty is a breeze. I spent the first week playing on my laptop(they have internet avail for you) then spent my second week on a domestic violence case. Many employers make you sign over the jury duty check to them and they pay you normally, my employer paid me for my reg 40 hours and let me keep the jury duty money, which is basically to compensate you for your parking fees. The good part is if you aren't picked for a jury, usually you don't have to be there until 10 and you are excused at 3 and they let you go early usually on friday...and they report to your employer that you served 40 hours when you actually only spend 20-25 hours there for the week. Jury duty is a good deal unles syou are a private busness owner, but then they will excuse you to run your business. The best way to get out of jury duty...don't vote...they pull the names from voter registration records, although they told me they are trying to change that to the way Alaska does it..by drivers license.

pay to have a certified inspector check out the car. I'd bet you'd never get it worked out because the seller does not own the car.

See, nobody believed that trash will get rid of odors.

He may be legit. Many people who accept paypal (I have a commercial account) would not take the $1000 on pp if the customer were picking up the item. This is because the seller is charged 2.9% in fees by paypal. If I were selling something that expensive and the buyer were picking it up I'd either take 1/2 by pp as a deposit or charge them the pp fees as a handling charge.

Just for reference..I sold a t-5 to a guy in Michigan and it was going to cost about $115 to ship to him at his shop. Needless to say, he came and pickied it up. With a co-driver and a mini pickup you could make the trip in one day for less than $150 including gas and meals. That's what I'd do...but then again I'm cheap...I mean thrifty.

What time, I didn't hear anything

Banana peel..no joke..eat the banana, put the peel opened up under the seat and in a couple days the smell is gone. doesn't mask the odor, absorbs it, even mildew odor.

Don't they race in the parking lot at the coloseum in L.A.? Is there someplace like that in Cols? What about the old airport that used to be off Williams rd in the south end, is that still there or has it been developed?

If they wanted to stop the street racing they would do a couple things..1) show a presence, which it sounds like they do from all the moving around you guys do and 2) do like they do out in Ca and host more street nights at NTR. But in the end there are still going to be the irresposible ones who feel it's okay to race on the street. Also in Ca I read they aren't taking your license, they are inpounding your car for 24 months, I think at something like $100 a month storage plus the reckless op ticket. Hit the street racers where they live, in their pockets.

Interested in selling the carb separate?

If you are saying that the rethread kit isn't long enough..I borrowed one from a shop one time and he had welded a 6" ratchet extension to the end of it so it could be used on like toyota's etc. Should be easy to fab if you have a welder.

Check with apartment complexes. My complex (not near campus) charges $45/mth with elec, and you don't have to have an apt here to rent a garage..many are like that.

Getting an out-of-state purchased car titled in Ohio
Rice Eater replied to lemosley01's topic in Passing Lane
All they check is the mileage and the VIN. As long as it has a title you will be ok, at least here in Cols. I brought a truck in from Mich and my Camaro from Pa. The hardest part is if you were wanting to drive it back, then you need a transport document, in Mich it's a 10 day temp tag. You can't just throw your tags on it and go. -
Let's answer the dumbass replys in order...1) this is an attempt to stop the gossip 2) because his co-workers are concerned about him 3) I do my work 4) big words from a little man on the other side of a computer screen

How I can find out if a co-worker was arrested and for what? There is a rumor that a co-worker was taken into custody last week at my work because he assulted or attempted to assult his girlfriend or ex, allegedly there was a firearm involved. I have tried the dispatch, franklin county court site and Columbus Police but the police just shows victims names. Anyone know how I can do this without having to pay for the info? Thanks

My block work was done at Col-Weld..I was pleased with the machine work and the price but they didn't shot blast the block when they cleaned it and it looked like crap with old paint and some rust on it. My Balancing was done at Fast Racing Engines in Groveport..extremely pleased, they did it in less that a day..they can do any and all machine work you need. Oh, and $100 won't get you a bore and torque plate hone at anyplace I ever heard of.

You should never test the alt by pulling off the cable while it's running! Go to Autozone or Advance and they will test it for free, don't fry something else trying to save 15 minutes.

"Yeah, it's kind of an eclectic mix of sizes and bolt patterns." I line like that screams "I'm a salesman working on commission" j/k after 16 years in automotive retail management I understand.

The Benz Guy has it right..as bad as it sounds, would you like to see him sleeping under a bridge or in a dumpster, eating out of trash cans? It's hard enough for young people to get decent jobs these days let alone an older person who many employers feel is used up, it's more feasable for them to hire illegals for less than min wage under the table..saves them tons on their insurance premiums. and in this case puts an old man in prison. Alot of you young people on here take for granted your ability to blow money on your hobby, take 15 seconds to contemplate that Social Security will likely not be funded when you become 70+ years old and are eligble to draw benefits. Scares the shit outta me.

The term lot lizard is about as old as you are Evan, ask any truck driver over the age of about 25.

So basically these are displays? or are they new in unopened boxes?
