  1. I've found that the locals save around half to 3/4 of the shipping cost on my recent purchases. I still ordered from Tirerack due to a homie hookup that saved me shipping entirely. Side note: I have access to installing tires personally.
  2. I'll be out in a variety of stuff.
  3. That's good to hear! I could easily see a welcome being worn out at Circleville potentially since it's primarily a kart track. Interesting information for sure.
  4. Means rates may hike for the autocross community that uses it as well. Although they desperately need to repave what the drag guys use as the "pits".
  5. Or the window starts popping out of the regulator because plastic.
  6. 20 Devices? Goddamn. I can count no more than 4 for me haha.
  7. Love the interest in this rally.
  8. I got a GoPro set up for Christmas and I just don't see myself using it as I haven't touched it since I got it. GoPro Hero 4 Silver with charger/cables/mounts as boxed Larger suction mount kit Helmet mount kit Spare rechargeable battery Spare MicroSD card (freebie from Microcenter) I roughly looked at prices and it appears it would be near $400ish to replicate this group. Most of it has been unboxed, I fiddled around a bit with it in my living room and that's about it.
  9. Make Eman's parents an offer they can't refuse.
  10. Wheel Medic does I believe.
  11. Paging Clay - swap for the Lincoln.
  12. If you are planning on lowering the car in the future and you are doing maintenance on the suspension, it may be worth looking at what you will need to use to correct the camber. When you lower a car it inherently will add negative camber, it is common for cars to not have any camber adjustment built in from the factory. I'm not familiar enough off the top of my head with what your particular car will need. It is also possible that what you would need to do has nothing to do with the maintenance you are performing, in which case disregard worrying about it now.
  13. I would pass on this, no reason not to go GM 3800 in a Fiero......plenty of documentation and crossover parts. The big thing that people tend to turn their head to on my motor is the variable valve timing. If he wants to go this route he is more than welcome to buy it and give it a shot though, the mounts are still all on the motor/trans. At the end of the day I don't care what anyone does with it once it leaves.
  14. Last time I hauled metal I took almost 5200# in 2 trips and netted like $250......NO THANKS haha. Maybe we can set something up like once every other week or so.
  15. I have had experience with them through close friends, I would not use them for what you are trying to do and what you use the car for. You would be much better off in the long run buying a lowering spring set up on a set of nicer struts. The problem with coil overs for street use, especially cheap ones are the following- -At the "highest" height setting the car is still to low -You will likely need supporting parts to get the alignment correct -The springs are always too hard and make the car handle like garbage -Coil overs, especially the cheap ones don't hold up as well as struts with extensive street use If you are not going for hella fresh unicorn wheel fitment just stick with a solid strut/spring combo.
  16. Small quantities like that we would take at the shop. I'm sure if you offered a couple bucks a local shop would take it.
  17. I have a Toyota 1MZ VVT-i engine and automatic transmission out of a 2000 Toyota Avalon XL. The components have 127K miles on them. The engine had timing belt and water pump service done around 120K. Engine is totally dry as is the transmission. It was pulled from a customer car that got hit hard dead center on the passenger side B pillar. I can provide paper work for the timing belt service via work orders that match the VIN on the motor. As far as running videos, I didn't take any. My word will have to suffice that I drove the car home, then back to the shop to pull the unit. I was going to use it for my MR2, but have since changed my mind. It has been sitting covered on a tire in my personal garage for about a year or so. Asking $200 for all of it- -1MZ V6 with VVt-i -Automatic Transmission -Both axle shafts with carrier bearing -OEM starter -Spare intake manifold -Spare Felpro gasket sets (leftovers for a V6 from other projects) -A bunch of Toyota Relays Delivery is possible @ $0.50 per mile round trip. I'd rather not, but I would at that rate.
  18. I have an older OTC Genisys scan tool that is updated with their "4.0" software which is good on all makes including European through about 2011. Issues- Battery does not take a charge - gets power from OBD port Most of the time the tool freezes while going through the menus. I don't know if it's a software issue or a issue with the actual tool. The tool has a newer smart cable on it that isn't super kinked and definitely isn't showing the wire loom. It comes with a hard carry case, charger, and some software CD's. I bought the tool about 4 years ago or so when our shop got a new one. It was cheaper to get a whole new unit than buy the software updates at the time. Can text pictures - send me a # in a PM.
  19. It's so down in the dumps right now, it almost doesn't matter. We have been giving away all our scrap because it's just not worth it for us anymore. We use Research Alloys, but I've heard there is a place in Newark still giving very good money for cats. Can't think of the name at this point.
  20. The 5.3 GM's are nice, but their maintenance is almost worse than the Tundra imo. As a diehard Subaru/Toyota guy there was no reason for me to go 'Murican other than fuel economy. The GM's were equally overpriced in my search.....a comparable year GM for what I paid would have over 200K and be rusty AF.
