  1. I'll probably be out in a Subaru of some variety.
  2. I got your PM.......just haven't sent the picture.
  3. 87GT on here has my old Fiero GT.......still.......from like 2006-7ish I still have the MR2, obviously........the rest, I really don't care about.
  4. What you really need to ask yourself is how much do you like the car? If you like the car, then fix it and carry on driving it. Has it had it's second timing belt? How much oil is the engine using? What are the tires like? What I'm getting at here is what is the rest of the car like mechanically? If you spend say somewhere near $2,000 to fix it that's like having a $170 a month car payment for a year as long as nothing else goes wrong that is a major expense. The question then becomes can you get something that will be better than the car fixed for $170 per month. If no, then fix it and drive the thing.

    Ferrari f430

As Brian might say, "I like to row my own boat" (automotive-ly speaking of course) Paddle shift set-ups have come a long way and are neat in their own right, but I get more satisfaction improving my multi-tasking driving ability.
  6. There is what we believe to be a '07ish sedan catless 3" down pipe and mid pipe with a resonator sitting at the shop. It is Rally Pat's on here, he would probably sell it seeing as though we just put a exhaust specifically for his car on.
  7. I know he is/was a snap-on tool rep, so if anyone does have his phone# what would help as well.
  8. Ok, solved what his s/n is. Sent a PM, hopefully it pops up in his email. Or if someone has his phone# that may help as well.
  9. Just chiming in with a Satin White Pearl BRZ. Seriously though, I think it's going to be awfully cold tonight for a large turnout. I was out last night around 11 ish and there were about 30 cars out. If your sister has any specific questions there are quite a few owners on here with plenty of seat time in their respective cars. Myself, Doc, Draco, Jones all come to mind quickly. All the cars are set up totally different which is the joy of the car, lot's of options.
  10. I'd just like to chime in and say that the standard data that OBDII covers is laughable IMO in today's automotive world. I agree 100% with what Draco had to say, and I see perhaps the potential for manufacturers to find a way to tighten their hold on their information depending on how this bill is interpreted if it were to pass.
  11. That was the largest Sonic meet I have seen. Couldn't believe how far down towards Rave they all got.
  12. 10/10 on the ad lol. This is a great car to get into HPDE's on the cheap so to speak. No room here for it though
  13. The interview for this car is pretty painful.
  14. A couple things guys. -Not all cars are equipped with them -How quickly they get dirty is based on where you drive. -I check mine at 15K and replace IF NEEDED -On hybrid vehicles, the air that cools the battery packs goes through this filter, so if it is clogged up with debris, your hybrid battery cooling is being compromised. -Also if there is a drain issue with the cowl especially on VW's you could find the cabin filter soaking wet and horribly dirty IF it's located in the cowl area. Otherwise down behind the glove box doesn't see that issue.......usually.

  17. That could have been way worse, at least it didn't tumble and roll along the ground a ton. Hard hit when he came down though for sure.
  18. If there is a whistling sound under the dash when the brake is pushed, I would be checking out the brake booster seal where the brake pedal rod goes through the firewall. Just a thought. Although odd and unlikely that a bad booster would only happen after the ABS scenario, cars make liars out of mechanics every day.
  19. Stick with taking pictures Wagner lol. Which, by the way, I am surprised there are none of.
  20. Maaaayyyyyy swing up for a bit. Depends on how long dinner takes.
  21. Mini's are a mess after about 60K I work on almost every Mini Cooper that comes through the shop. We have about 15-30 active Mini owners that come through. As my boss will say, these cars help pay the bills. I love the cars, but damn they are maintenance intensive.
  22. Have you auto crossed before? My .02 cents would be to get out there with what you have and get a feel for it. See what it does well, and what it doesn't do well then make a plan of attack to make the car better for what you need it to do. Nothing worse than over engineering a car and throwing a ton of money at it and having it not drive the way you want/expect it to. Example being, I went out in my bone stock MR2 8 years ago and have been slowly changing things 1 or 2 things at a time and the car for me is now very predictable and does close to what I want it to do with very few parts. Now I realize that a G8 is a much larger car, but in my world bang for your buck makes racing much more enjoyable.
  23. Thanks for the referral's guys!
