  4. Put all sorts of stuff in a 944, not unusual to see the common V8 swaps.
  5. Special Olympics over at OSU I think today/tomm.
  6. Lolz thread is de-railing!!!!
  7. It has rust on the lower rear rockers, otherwise the car is pretty straight. The interior is there, somewhat dirty but it's there. I'll see if I can nab a couple pics this weekend and post them up. I assume you aren't in a HUGE hurry? I don't know about the electrical, it was a "daily" sort of when it quit.
  8. We have a N/A 944 chassis here at the shop for $400, not the cleanest thing ever just a thought. More than likely has a blown HG. Lots of space in the 914, most of it is accessed from the bottom. We have a customer with a really nice 944T OR in Porsche lingo a 951. He wants 10K for it, if it's in the price range I can give you some more info on it. There is also a 912 sitting here at the shop, but I think that was other people drooling over it than you.
  9. Could also try mid-state auto parts 888-3838 open today till noon (saturday). Closed Sunday.
  10. Get in car, start car, move car. I wouldn't sit there....shit, people will move or remove themselves from society.
  11. It's like the guy at a PCA meet that showed up in a MKIII Jetta towing a Porsche 914 on an open trailer.
  12. I like how he was looking at it after he stopped like WTF
  13. Hello fellow Subaru owner, I saw your car at the last C&C, but didn't get a chance to say hello.
  14. Just making sure all things are covered here folks. Hate away, as mentioned things were not clear. I get fed up on a daily basis with people I know getting terrible work done on their cars by people who shouldn't be touching a car. High standards I guess.
  15. $50 IN PARTS???? So, I assume you don't use a timing belt KIT with the rollers, I assume you don't put a New AISIN, or Honda waterpump on. I don't normally don't get pissy with people on here, but if you honestly have $50 in parts your half-assing it. Nothing like having "a buddy" do your friends car work then have the stress from the new timing belt wear on the old waterpump bearings, it starts to fail on an INTERFERENCE motor and you get to pay to do the job again since the pump is run my the timing belt........./RANT Paul, I would NOT have this guy do a timing belt if he has "$50 in parts" 2.7 hours @ 95 ~$260 Timing Belt kit MY COST $78 List $160 Waterpump MY COST $46 List $87 So, here you are at about $507 in the above parts/labor which does not include tax and coolant which we would flush. Hopefully her accessory belts are in good shape too. A lot of time they are original at timing belt service and we replace them at that point. If I did it @ $50 per hour on the side with good parts at my cost it would be $259 before coolant/belts. :fuckyeah:
  16. 1999 Mazda Miata (RED) Working on the pics 99K miles Sold!!
  17. Watch the events section for when I post up the PCA autox info and come on out. Maybe Jones will clear his schedule just to see it. :lolguy:
  18. I'm not going to hate man, it's faster than my junk lol.......well, in a straight line
  19. I get what you are looking for and why. I don't blame you, I just don't think that in the era that 13's were being put on cars the wheels themselves just weren't wide at all. Probably at least not wide enough for what I think you are intending to do.
  20. Tried searching for specific cars that came with 13's? I know VW Rabbit's from the 80's MKI had 13's. I don't think they were terribly wide, they are 4 lug, not sure if they are 100's though. That's all I've got.
  21. My gosh you guys, seriously? What is wrong with asking if there is some way to recycle a helmet so it can be put to good use rather than just throwing it away? I fail to see how this is a useless thread, I have a old helmet lying around hence why I looked in this thread to read some practical suggestions, not people's useless opinions on the content of this topic. If someone wants mine for air brush practice it is available for pick-up at anytime. Just send me a PM.
