  1. True story, although I believe Mazda's shing....something or other was one of the hottest cars at the LA auto show. Subaru has done well with this one, hopefully we don't get the blah totally not aggressive final design that would be totally disappointing in comparison to the concept.
  2. Well, those came out tiny, if it's nice out I'll get some bigger/better ones. The guy at the shop that is selling it took them with his phone and they previewed bigger out of the email.
  3. 1990 Ford Taurus L 1FACP52U9LA115643 90,400 miles 3.0 V6 Automatic Air Cruise A/C Exterior-RUSTY Interior 8.5/10 non-smoking New- Brake Lines - 90,391 miles Starter - 90,391 Tires Kumho Solus KR21 - 89,613 Spark Plugs- 89,613 Wires - 89,613 Cap Rotor - 89,613 Serpentine Belt - 88,932 Water pump - 88,932 Rear struts, springs, rear sway bar end links - 81,504 Inner/Outer tie rods / Alignment - 79,827 Both front axle shafts - 79,125 Front pads/rotors, rear shoes, e-brake cables - 76,321 Regular oil changes since we started working on it at 61,000 miles. Older owner finally decided to sell due to it needing brake lines. Replaced brake lines here at the shop and replaced the starter that was on it's way out. Would make an excellent winter beater/first car/daily. ASKING $1,400 OBO, please make offers if you want it. Pictures to come, or fell free to PM me to see it in person. Clean title in hand. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/brad1.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/brad2.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/brad5.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/brad6.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/brad3.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z39/crossle_sean/brad4.jpg
  4. I thought that that list was pretty good. Gotta say though that the Fiero is getting pretty ridiculous to work on (sorry Eric) and I vividly remembered trying to find parts for Merkur's. Interesting how several cars I would have thought would have been a nightmare have not been due to several fantastic aftermarket resources I.E. British roadsters.
  5. Erica and I will be there, we hungry.
  6. Iron Pony has a shit ton of helmets in every size and design and style imaginable. I got my 2010 helmet for SCCA there.
  7. YOUR nuts, I bet your waiting for me to ask why you haven't yet?
  8. You told Erica we wouldn't make it or is that what she said? LOL
  9. 100K spark plug intervals are NUTS, plus I believe you have dissimilar metals there mating with each other. Fun stuff, pat on the back for the DIY tool lol, I have had to rig up something of that sort a time or two.
  10. Price for the cooling system is fair assuming they don't just drain the radiator and fill it back up. Price for the Transmission flush seems a little on the high side, especially if they just drop the pan let it drain and fill it back up. Price for brakes seems a little high, but they are using dealer rotors and pads which I would think you could buy some brakes and find someone on here willing to hang them for a price. If they actually flush the coolant and transmission with a machine prices are reasonable, I have just seen how people cut corners in the industry as selling a "coolant flush" as draining the radiator and filling it. Cough goofy lube cough.
  11. Because they are maintenance nightmares and they suck ass to work on. I HATE working on these things and the parts are just astronomical in price compared to most cars. I'm sorry, if a company has to put out a TSB for a "draft in the interior when sunroof is open" explaining how a vacuum works inside a car while it is in motion with said sunroof open I kinda get a little skeptical. To OP, DAMN that's hot. I would never own one, but I love looking at other people's.
  12. Winking Lizard tonight dude, thanks for the text. Maybe we will make it out sometime soon this winter.
  13. Again, street tires includes summer tires, would have less of an issue than all seasons. Running on all seasons in that type of car is just irresponsible.
  14. Part of being impressive in this is having some sort of driving ability obviously. How do you stuff an AWD car into a wall due to street tires. I'm not going to argue about it but use your head.
  15. I look at it as anything can be called streetable, but how would a MAJORITY of people want to drive the car on the street? I look at a lot of things, but here is what impresses me. No jungle gym roll cage/no cage at all No drag radials and skinnies...so street tires that you can drive on the freeway at 70mph in the rain No cut outs.....people don't drive on the street with them open all the time Full interior Regular fuel.....I.E. you can stop at any station and fill up Just my .02, but cars that meet the above criteria and are sub say 11.99 is pretty damn good. I find it acceptable (but less cool) if you haul 2 rear tires to be put on the the car for your passes at the track, but then switch back to regular tires later.

Who is getting there early to wait for the table since Erica and I did last time. It was a 45 minute wait last time for 10 people. Regardless we will probably be there a little early.
  21. Of course the dealer wants to sell you tires since almost nobody goes back to the dealer for their 30K tires that are usually the lowest tread wear rated tires a particular company offers.
  22. Holding rep until you find a computer and edit.
  23. It's time for me to get my own stuff. So like the title says, looking for a engine hoist and stand. Below are some guidelines of what I am looking for. Please read them so we don't waste each other's time. Engine Hoist- Looking to spend between $100-$200 2 ton Not a Harbor freight special...generally they are 1 tons. Hydraulic ram not leaking Casters in good working order Not totally rusted Engine Stand- Looking to spend between $50-$100 Must have stand and adjustable head Not super picky on this piece, some rust ok. Paint can be knicked up. Casters in good working order Thanks! Suggestions/comments welcome, just keep them tasteful. Or any suggestions leading to finding what I am looking for. I am watching craigslist and will probably make a couple calls tomorrow at this point since it's late.
