You do know that you should be looking at private party value, NOT trade in correct? Trade in is way lower than you as a private party seller should be able to sell the car. Just asking, I haven't looked it up.

Just thought I would post this up here since none of us at the shop have come across this until today and thought I would share the experience. Vehicle: 2004 VW Jetta GL 2.0L Automatic 66K miles Symptom: No Start Diagnostics: Turn the key to start, nothing happens. Dash lights bright. Battery tests OK Fuses in the starting system OK NO trouble codes in immobilizer/trans/engine Trans range switch reading correctly via VAGCOM Found no power in start position at Park/Neutral Position switch from the ignition switch. Relay has good 12V power from battery. Jumper the relay car turns over, no fire (ya I know there were about 8 wires here I just wanted a response from the starter) Went to ignition switch and found good 12V supply and good power out of switch in the start position to the PNP relay mentioned above. Techs are thinking "ok there is a break b/w the ign. switch and the PNP relay." You are correct, I then found a set of wires with a fusible link, a relay and a unknown box since I could only see the front if it and it was electrical taped to the dash way up high. We thought aftermarket alarm OR remote start, get ok from customer, rip it out repaired the wires car starts runs fine. We find out then that the customer just bought the car, we suggest maybe calling the car lot and asking them about covering the repair even though the extended warranty they sold her does not cover this issue. The car lot calls us upset because we ripped out a system designed to disable this vehicle remotely if the person has not made their payment on the car. Also known as a "payment assurance device". Mind you there was no tag/sticker/NOTHING that told us what it was, nor did the customer seem to know what it was or that it was installed in their vehicle. Here is a link to a company who makes these devices http://www.passtimeusa.com/ Here is a information link talking about the systems http://www.dealerbusinessjournal.com/articleview.php?id=579-18324 Kinda interesting, this is the first time we have seen this issue I suppose most people miss the payment then get the car reposessed.

I was there to help Sean as needed, as well as Pat (Drinkitdown) I was pulling the engine in my Impreza that day. This was like the 5th one I have done/over seen someone else doing it. We did everything that would make sense to do while you have the engine out, it took a full day to complete, but it should be dry as a bone underneath sd sll of the major oil leaks have fresh seals. This will make someone a great car.

That was the most amount of people from CR for a winter parking lot meet that I have seen lol.
-
You STILL have this?? Bump for a car that's not going to need anything for awhile as far as maintenance....don't let the mileage fool you.

Indianola is looking pretty shitty

Us to if no one wants to suggest a bigger lot.

Erica made us one of those taco kit things. I had a Franziskaner beer with it. It was really good and provided enough to have a taco salad from the left overs for lunch at work tomorrow.

RUST, otherwise it should have the 5mge which as usual for a inline six is strong as heck and seems to run forever. I mean besides the obvious, it's an old car. Look for old car things, worn out parts funny noises etc..

Thanks Rich!

Yeah mileage claims on craigslist are ALWAYS BS, I ask to see their receipts to prove it and they are never available...hmmmm. Interesting table though. I love Subaru's to death, but man the mileage blows for a 4 cylinder lol.

Not to take away from P&P because I think their pricing is better, but Wheel Medic did Erica's Civic wheels I know you have seen those, just another option to get a quote from in comparison.

Yes, it was her late Grandfather's, we were on a hunt to locate it after her uncle sold the car a couple years ago. It's still registered in Ohio at this time and I watch for it on ebay and BAT while I peruse the listings anyways.

Arizona congresswoman among 12 shot at Tucson grocery

They mentioned something about "renaissance" group? Like anti government, anti immigration type group. Just crazy how young he is, and they are looking for that other guy that they think may have been standing with him in the security footage. They are guessing he is 40 something, but they don't know for sure. Seems that Gliffords may be doing "ok", watching the news conf. now with the doctors on Fox. She was responding to simple commands this morning. -

News stations MSNBC and Fox are saying that she is now out of surgery and doctors are "optimistic" about her recovery. 5 are confirmed dead at this time including a federal judge appointed by Bush Sr. She is still in intensive care, they have not mentioned anything about any possible brain damage, but they haven't realy said where she was shot in the head. Hopefully she pulls through, and as Fox mentioned it will bring gun accessibility back into the lime light most likely as far as how easy it is for nut jobs to obtain weapons. Facts.... -
PM sent Metric and Standard Line Wrenches if still available.

Assumptions can make yourself look like an ass, just sayin'. I can tell who is looking for an arguement, and it's really stupid considering there aren't any FACTS. -
What about a 2005 Mercedes E320 CDI? We just serviced one last week, forget about those? Or not know about those? None of our customers complain about their NEWER diesels starting in the cold, yes the newer VW owners are seeing 40+ MPG which is equating to about 600+miles per tank. Diesel is more expensive than fuel. The Newer VW diesels with the 1.9 when they first came out had to have the timing belt changed every 30K, it has now been revised to every 60K. Otherwise as with most VAG cars you get the issues with electronic issues, we have seen problems with the intakes getting plugged up due to carbon buildup. So bad that you can barely stick a pencil through the opening when the opening is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. Otherwise they are hard to find used with low miles because people love them so much they drive them into the ground. Thats some mechanical knowledge from servicing a fleet of them from very regular customers for about 3-4 years now.

I'm not on there

Was she one of the people really pushing border security? I remember Arizona was, just not who in Arizona was? If so, this might be interesting especially upon finding out who the gunman was. -
Thanks COTA
