Bach. degrees today are what high school diplomas were years ago. Regardless of what anyone says about their value vs work experience (which I value a lot) when it comes to the pool to select from often times the degree and what is earned and learned along the way to get one does often make a difference when it comes down to selection. That said, if you have time to finish one, I would advise doing so even if it's just part time. You might not need it today but in 10yrs or 15yrs if something happens you'll have it as a baseline. It will likely be even more of a requirement then. My counterpart in the role I'm in graduated from West Point, served 12 yrs and came back to the workforce. Took 5yrs but he completed his MBA with very high rankings. He will go far. In terms of what you can do today, look at your transferable skills. Skills that can be used in other industries. On top of that, the soft skills such as working and leading a team count tremendously. Lots of people can follow and be team members. Those that can have others follow them are worth a lot more. Not managers but leaders. Creativity and a willingness to try things is valuable too. Confidence goes hand in hand with that. Not confidence in terms of being right but confidence that is one being comfortable with making right and wrong decisions. We make them both but how we learn is critical. Lots of talk I know but if you can show potential employers those things; things that others can't get in books, you'll go far.

Agree that it makes it Meh....but it's damn fun on the back roads and highways though.

pop on a simple and proven safe tune and the MS3 will no longer go flat at 5500rpm nor limit boost in lower gears. 15-16psi is the top end of boost for a stock car but it's lower in gears 1 & 2. My tune takes away the boost limiter down low, removes the flats spot up top and pushes boost to 17lbs max. That's the best spot for my mods keep her well in the safe zone AF wise and temp wise so I don't fry the turbo. The first tune I had done had her up to 290/320 but I wasn't comfortable keeping her there so I had it backed down to where she sits now at 270/290. ZERO issues. It also fattened up the mid range torque and makes its a ton more fun around town. 1st is useless and 2nd into 3rd will spin badly if you aren't smart though.

Honda Odyssey / Minivans Have owned one and reports like this are exactly why we bought what we did. I did a lot of research and saw some badly wrecked minivans of both models and they did their job saving lives better than anyone could imagine. 5 star ratings for my family are worth setting a man-card aside for IMO. Love the value they bring and the safety they offer.

Recommend me a decent pair of noice canceling Headphones
TTQ B4U replied to Trouble Maker's topic in Dumpster
Had pair of NC Bose from circa 2006 and loved them. FFWD to years later they cracked and broke in half and Bose replaced them for $150 and upgraded me to a new pair. Hats off to them for they didn't have to do anything to help me. This Christmas I got my wife a pair of the top of the line Beats bluetooth Noise Cancelling ones using some airline points thus they were free. For the $400 they sell for they don't reduce or sound nearly as good as the Bose. Not sure why people knock Bose headphones as to me they have been awesome in quality and from a company perspective. I'm sure there are "high fidelity" and better sounding ones but my ears can't tell, especially when connected to mp3 or streaming music. Call me simple, but there's my 14 paragraph of incite . -
Open that rusty ass wallet of yours and spend some cash and move your CTS-V down there and upgrade your Columbus daily to a newer AWD BMW

Jay Bird in ear buds are good. Paid a little over $110 on Amazon. I still prefer over the ear and will likely go back to them as they are more comfy for me.

Started driving in 1985 and was proud as heck to have a 1983 Black over Silver Hurst Olds. Not quite the 1976 version my parents had back when I was a little kid but it worked. Underpowered but still a cool fucking car. Had this through the tail end of my college days. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj84/crms3er/hurst_zps379c3a16.jpg

I remember that place. Bought my first speaker system for a computer there. Had a great subwoofer that drove the guy in the office next to mine nuts

never used a blue tarp, but I have used two separate canvas drop cloths with zero issues. once the snow starts falling they disappear from visibility. No one is outside looking either. In the morning just flip the snow off one side, toss the clear portion over to the other side and litterally let it fall off the car. Sounds worse than it is. No scratches.

You really think it does anything? I don't clean it off down to the paint. Like today, I had both the van and my Fusion outside as 1/2 my garage is a work area for an indoor project I'm on. However a simply push broom and 5 minutes cleared both off just fine. I cleared 3-4"inches off the car down to the last 1/2" snow over the paint which melts in the sun while the car warms up, but the rest is fine to remove with a brush or broom. Helps to have a dark color car too. As the cars warm up and I clear the windows which was easy once they warm up a bit and the ice literally sheets away, I was able to wipe the remainder of snow off the body panels. I've never seen any visible issues. Simple detail in the spring will buff away any swirls from the previous year. Hell paint today is pretty tough. Simple push-broom. Been doing it for years and seriously.....no scratches on the roof of my Trailblazer when I had it or Satin's chariot now. One time I didn't clear the roof and a huge iceberg of snow crashed down over the windshield of the van as I was stopping at a light and it was fucking thick and heavy I had to slam on the brakes at that light and get out to lift it off. That was not only unsafe but embarrassing. Lesson learned.

I'd definitely contact them and send them images along with what order they came from. Could be related to specific batches. So far what I've bought from them have fired good.

Kevin Clifford can get it looking like new. I"m sure others too, but he's a body shop guy so....

hard to do, but take the family emotion 100% out of it and treat this matter as if you're simply saving a child you don't know. call CPS, outline without emotion what you see happening and ask them what is the best course of action for the child. I have very little faith in public services like this given some things I went through with my father and elder abuse but I hope CPS is different. Regardless of what happens you will have done the best you could to make a difference. Wish I had more. Hurts to think about going through such a thing. People suck, sometimes family more so.
