  1. You'll love it. Look into a gasket for your doors too. This stuff works awesome. Helps hold in heat and keeps the smoke flow out the vents where it should vs leaking. The pic I linked to referencing thin blue smoke was before I put the seal on. Most noticeable on windy days and trying to maintain temps.
  2. 1 cup is good on temps of 225 or so. Any higher and I would suggest 1 to 2 Chunks (regardless of the manual saying chips). Use a cast iron pan or holder so the chunk smolders. Temp wise, if you go 250-300* such as with chicken chips will burn up in 30 minutes dumping way too much smoke at the onset. You don't want that. You want 1-2 chunks to smolder and when you're done they will be big lumps of black coal. Too much smoke will cause the food to taste bitter due to creosote build upon the meat. You want thin-blue-smoke almost to not being able to actually see it. After the first 2-3 hrs you don't want to add any more wood. Hickory is great for chicken and ribs. I used Apple on my last set of ribs and they were great too. However, I honestly like hickory the best.
  3. If you are itching to get started, chicken is easy and relatively quick. I recently posted about it here: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117802 Key to chicken is to brine it overnight or at minimum 8hrs. Go easy on the salt if you read up on various brines. If you put more than 1/2 cup per Gal. you'll regret it (IMO). I put the boneless breasts and quarters in a huge pot overnight and it was so juicy and tender...YUM! The other key, especially on bone-in parts with skin on them is to cook at 275-300* I try to stay between the two. Cook too low and the skin will turn to rubber. It's okay if you do that by mistake as it will peel off just the same. Also, no water pan. Just use it or a foil pan to catch the drippings. In the pics I showed you those were pretty good sized breasts and quarters and it took 2 to 2.5hrs. Of course, you'll absolutely want to invest in a quality thermometer. The one built into your unit is decoration. Even mine is off by more than 25*. Get a good one off Amazon such as this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AAJX4QI/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Read up on your specific model at the Forums: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/f/92/smoking-supplies-equipment
  4. Smoking Meat Forums. Like CR only for BBQ nuts Will post some of insight later tonight. Chicken beasts and ribs are easy.
  5. Will send you a text message. Won't be able to take all of it, but I wouldn't mind grabbing a stack to take for use with our fire pit. I might be able to come get it tonight or Monday.
  6. I really like it and the wheels. Very cool.

    Moving services

Have used 2 men and a truck and Leaders. Had good luck with both. Like anything, it's going to depend on their employees at the time though. YMMV
  8. Is this the guy that wanted 120mp no noise images at f/78?
  9. Achieva....WOW! Must be one of the only ones still on the road Welcome to CR. The 69 and 70 need to be the next ones you bring out.
  10. Brandon at Capital Towing. He's a member here too. Great guy/service. (614) 272-1800 Tell the dispatcher you're a Columbus Racing member. You get a discount. I just used them a few weeks back for our van.
  11. Failure to leave proper/safe distance. OSP does not approve.
  12. Work back with your insurance co. and let them and their team fight it. They won't want to pay if they don't have to. Likely will settle but in the mean time, work to insure they don't ding you for an accident.
  13. The last time I was pulled over was by a Perry Township cop. I understand it's a stressful job, they have to treat everyone with caution, etc...but the guy was a bit over the top "angry" or hyped-up about the ordeal. A little dramatic would be a far understatement it was so bad. It was for illegal lane change as I had someone cut out in front of me from a side street going way too slow, so I downshifted and simply went left then back right moving in front of him. My bad, no turn signal. The cop acted like I violated his mother. Then tried to read me the riot act because my kids were in the car. Fuck off trying to lecture me about my driving let alone with my kids safety. Dude, there was no one behind me except for evidently you way back there and I barely broke the speed limit going around him. He didn't appreciate my comments, and made that clear, but then I was with my rights and absolutely correct and wasn't going to bite my tongue so in turn I made myself clear. Write the ticket if you wish, but fuck the lectures. You're a beat-cop, go back to your car and do your job. He eventually calmed down and gave me a warning, but yeah...I have found it's typical to see cops go a little overboard about even little shit.
  14. ...and they would be correct because they were likely doing something. :lolguy:
  15. Dear Winter: Spring/Summer > You so fuck off with all your snow and shit. Come at me next year bro. -tim
  16. Just looked at a 2014 in the same color at Germain as a replacement to my current company sled. The interior is really nice. I love my Fusion Sport but they definitely upgraded the interior on both since 2010.
  17. Only add I can provide is that my GXP has the 5.3l V8 in it and from day one it ate a quart of oil ever oil change. Ended up dumping it after 16k miles for that and other reasons. Dealer warned me when buying it back then that it would eat oil.
  18. DAMN! What a perfect day today was! Sure makes up for the crappy weather Winter delivered this past year. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend. We kicked ours off with a full day of fun and BBQ and more. Thanks to all those who have served and made such days possible.
  19. I can here Mexico from where I'm sitting right now. Must be a clear stretch east of Sawmill.
  20. Dublin cops were Patrolling Sawmill between 270-Bethel between 7pm and now. Saw several cars pulled over on my local runs preparing for the holiday weekend.
  21. Good to hear. I'm hoping to really enjoy this one.
  22. SOLD! Thanks Frank. Good meeting up with you.
