  1. WV and Bugatti is funny. What's really dumb IMO though is having the make/model on your plate though.
  2. That area is 200% the biggest trap for no front plates. I've known a lot of friends pulled over up there for it. Crazy.
  3. Props to the guy for such a clean car and building something he enjoys so much.
  4. Not sure what range you're looking to spend or focal lengths you use most, but since you have a crop-body Canon and will be using this for car shows indoors and out and pit areas, the The Canon EF-S 17-55mm F2.8 IS USM is the one to get. You get what you pay for man. It's worth the money. It's L-Quality glass in a great 77mm large size lens. It would qualify for a full L-status if it was weather sealed. Excellent lens overall. Won't work on a full frame but it's resale is strong and you'll likely keep an APS-C camera if you were to upgrade. Ask me how I know You've seen an used mine IIRC at C&C. I shoot with the 24-70L as my walk around. This lens is slightly sharper wide open on a crop body. Costs less too. However, you'll have IS which is nice for cloudy days and indoors at car shows. About the same size.
  5. perhaps, but long term injuries often pop up years later and honestly, being married to a lawyer, yes I'm biased, but people who cause accidents are liable. there's way more to such an incident than covering the costs of a bike and some medical bills. settlements on things like this are often pretty hefty. Kevin Kurgis, here comes a client! :gabe:
  6. Glad you're okay man. I was by there just today too.
  7. Lock up the house. A gun in the truck and a hunting log book, etc.. and they likely know there are more guns. Good luck tracking it down. Seriously hope they find it if not just for the peace of mind you'd have knowing it's not being used by someone.
  8. That didn't even look like a good idea. WOW!
  9. Spent about 10 days up and down the east coast with DC and the Beach as our main stops. I purposely just took a basic Bridge Camera with a long zoom and left all the heavy gear at home. Had more fun this time just snapping away and focusing on the kids and good times. Got some decent shots just the same. Here's small sample. Hit F11 and/or buy a bigger monitor Wife had to visit the Supreme Court. Like most all of the building, this was under renovations. Gotta love the screen-printed protective material they used while work was under way. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151661957/original.jpg Jefferson Memorial. Was a beautiful night too. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151663280/original.jpg Earthquake restoration/fixes still under way http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151663596/original.jpg Unfortunately some dumb-asses vandalized the the Lincoln Memorial. They said it will eventually be okay after they sandblast it with walnuts. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151661511/original.jpg Pre Damage http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151666658/original.jpg Capital is Beautiful and HUGE! http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151655050/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151655051/original.jpg We saw Obama's motorcade and caught his limo in front of the big-house. Lots of snipers were in the yard and on the roof too. Security cameras abound of course. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151663592/original.jpg No one manning this post at the moment. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151666860/original.jpg But they were everywhere else including just about every roof top in the area. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151661727/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151663312/original.jpg Little closer vantage point http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151655067/original.jpg Had to do the O-H-I-O for the kids http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151655061/original.jpg
  10. I use Germain on Sawmill for the Fusion. However, I haven't had much if any problems, I just love that they cater to my needs and have always bent over to insure the car is detailed and perfect when it leaves even for a simple fix. I do however leave the car with them to have time to do the extras and a few donuts in the morning helps.
  11. I don't "love" the MS3 but when looking at what was out there at the time, it fit the bill pretty well. Handles good, has plenty of power, cheap on wallet, but over all it it's a fun to drive experience compared to the company sled and of course the family chariot. I could go buy a Vette or CTS-V and really love it but then I'd honestly lose track of other priorities that I need to stay focused on right now so IMO the restraint is necessary and has proven successful for me, the car is still a joy and the want-factor for something else keeps me going and motivated. Odd description perhaps, but it's real.
  12. Should have moved a garden sprinkler over there and soaked her with it.
  13. Love the car and performance for the dollar but not in silver. With all the black accents it looks best in black. I would have to ditch the rear end and get the one I posted before which shows the round tails. 300% better. I could care less a out the minimal functionality. For 99% are going to simply be a street car.
  14. Derek is all you need to know. Great guy. Has helped me on several things and sets of tires.
  15. I would have serious conversation with this guy and perform a more serious ass beating if you catch him.
  16. ^^ this. while on vacation we ordered some Italian food for pickup and when I walked in the girl prepared everything and handed me a receipt and made it a point to walk me through here's the total, gratuity line, tax, etc...and for me to sign here ______ I took that as a thorough sales pitch for a tip but I don't tip on pick up. Delivery I do but it's minimal, especially if they charge a delivery fee.
  17. excellent price on great stuff. I love our paradigm setup. Wish I had a need for it.
  18. get a black or hispanic nieghbor to do it.
  19. ^^ this. we used a cabin rental agency last year and had a blast. costs are all relative on what you want and where you stay and what you do. ours wasn't cheap but it was fun as hell. Few pics: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/great_smokey_mountains_2012_gallery
  20. My son did a pretty good job then.....looks spot on I like 'em. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/151273661/original.jpg
  21. can't wait to download me some wallpaper of that sexy beast.
  22. bang on the siding really hard until they start to come out, grab a tennis racquet and see how many you can kill. You might get stung but it won't cost much and will be a fun way to get some exercise.
  23. black people. :gabe: He didn't disobey the dispatcher. He was simply told "we don't need you to do that" That's not an order or command. IB4CLOSE :dumb:
  24. Cool find. Better warn them that they will get a front plate ticket if they come to Cbus. Call me picky, but I also find it annoyingly stupid when people put the make or model of their car on their plate. Why? The logo is fucking 18" from the plate and says the same thing! I saw an M6 today with a Jersey Plate "MY M6" Really? because I thought it was mine.....
