  1. ^^ I go back and forth on the square footage thing. I miss the days of a small easy to care for cheap place yet with two kids and two dogs, I sometimes wish for 2x what we have now. Trish, my wife is always on me about plug in items that are so called "vampires" I do believe there's a sound theory behind them. Most everything we have is contstantly plugged in and I have no double something as simlple as unplugging them with a power strip cut-off would help. My biggest are the theater system down in the lower level and the endless computers. I have three towers, two laptops that are pretty much either on or in standbye all the time, on top of charging endless gadgets and toys. I bet I'd save $50mo easy if we turned them OFF.
  2. Here too. H20 for the lawn and flowers which look great is not going to be a fun bill to see. If temps stay in the 80's I can get away with once every 5 days if there's no rain but any higher and it gets more costly. Electric wise 2,900sq ft. and we just topped $300 for the month. No doubt a 24yr old AC unit isn't as effecient as the new ones.
  3. Hang on to you hats....holy shit, we just got ours and it's the highest we've ever had in 15+ years here. OUCH! :fuuuu: That's what happens when it's so fucking hot that the AC Never shuts off. We do the budget thing and normally only have a small balance at the end of the calender year, this year we're likely going to be a full 1.5-2 months in the hole. That is all :dumb:
  4. Obama/Coleman. Would make a hell of a ticket eh? :dumb:
  5. no 335 option in consideration? I'd look at one of those with some tasteful mods and call it a day. downside for both IMO is they are everywhere.
  6. If you have a 1080p capable set, then go BluRay that has wifi capability. Just upgrade to a new N series router and you'll have no issues streaming movies. We did two different movies at one time the other night no problem.
  7. I'll trade you your $160/yr bill for our $400 Dublin Pool Pass costs. Now granted we have two very nice pool locations and several waterparks, but I too wish it was only a $1. Interesting for sure.
  8. great stuff for sweet and grease eating ants. not sure what the problem is for others here but the powder works great outside for any ant that will track through it and carry it back home.
  9. I use it. One of the first lenses I've ever had. I have the better built MK I version too :gabe: It is a great lens for non moving subjects and the boken while not perfect is easily tweaked to be pretty good.
  10. or is it typical Fox news BS? http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/07/11/un-arms-treaty-could-put-us-gun-owners-in-foreign-sights-say-critics/
  11. and that's not good I like me a sammich made with skills.
  12. We have had a problem with field ants this spring. They look like carpenter ants only smaller. I can watch them go across the driveway from one planting bed to another but they blend into the mulch from there. I've also seen them on our deck from the wysteria across the deck to a tree. They realy don't appear to be damaging or doing anything other than being there and driving us nuts. So this year I tried some Terro Any killing powder. Goes on just like Talcum powder and is even water resisant. sticks and doesn't wash away but will float and spread if wet. I put it in long lines so that the ants would have to walk across it. I can actually see the little faint white trails of powder from hundreds of them. It's been one week and now today, we have ZERO ants anywhere. They seem to have carried the powder back to the nest or something and now again, we're ant free. Cliffs: Two $6 cans of Terro Any Powder and one week time = ZERO Ants.
  13. should be called the dumb owner car.
  14. no, no, not the 1.4. Bokeh, especially in #2 shows the blades. Fantastic Plastic. Needs slight PP to smooth it to be more 1.4ish.
  15. IIRC the new Fire 2 is rumored to be out this fall. May want to snoop around to see what the boards are saying.
  16. I'll add however that at f/16, the diffraction will cause the image look as fuzzy as it does here. Especially on a crop body camera. Add to it, the long exposure needed, it would likely be worse since the boat and water movement would be blurred. Would be interesting to see some shots performed like that though. I In terms of the star burst effect, I would tend to shoot the image with a lower f/stop that minimizes motion blur and then post process it.
  17. They interview some of the dumbest people in Columbus. Makes us look bad.
  18. driver > car outcome will depend on who youre up against
  19. Great feedback man! Thanks, especially for the food places. I can certainly appreciate the during-school information but we'll be one of "those families" with kids. Again, we have a 6 & 9 year old that will be in toe and it's more about all of us having a good time, then the kids (which we as parents love) and then mom and dad. Kids eventually crash and mom and dad can bring beer wine and more back to the hot tub as the bears watch how it's done I'm early in the planning stages but it looks like we'll leave on a Saturday and return on a Saturday. I'm thinking cabin during the week as the rates are $20-$40 lower per night.
  20. Cool looking, can appreciate the handling, but that was painful to watch. Even Fusion Sport rips through speed from 65 to it's 126mph limiter and bounces off it like a wall. Again, to it's credit, I'm sure it would make my DD'er feel like it corners like a bowl of jello.
  21. I slept like a baby until my phone chimed in with a news alert from NBC4 and woke me up :fuuuu: I say up, thought about it possibly being the one by us in worthington off Linworth but once I found out it was down by the fairgrounds I said F-it and went back to bed.
  22. Cool! Thanks for the tip on the car. I'm not sure if I'll be able to talk the wife into it, but I'd like to pack lighter and take the Fusion Company car vs the van. I can absolutely see a fully loaded minivan being a PIA up the hills. :fuuuu:
  23. Looking to take a trip down to TN and perhaps putting a week or so in at Pigeon Forge. Researching it now but was wondering if anyone here has been? Any Good? Thoughts? Other items in that area or on the way appreciated. I have a 6 & 9 year old to entertain so keep that in mind. Regards,
