  1. Again, IMO, no offer is worth it unless you know there are more upsides than you have and money should not be the predominant one. It's not about being "passed up" as moving up in any company isn't about waiting for someone to ask if you're interested. If you're not showing that you're capable or even doing the job you are looking to make a move to, then you aren't trying. Just my opinion as someone with years in Management. Then moving up to a job for $23k is still a pathetic move. If all things are equal between the two jobs but money, make sure you move for more than $5k per year. $18 to $30k is a decent move. From there $48k. From there $72k, $100k base, then $150k base with a total package double that. See the trend? Just my nickles worth based on a true story.
  2. That's your ticket to success. It is to cameras what an RPM Gauge is to a stick shift.
  3. Does your camera have a Live View mode where it will show you a histogram real-time? On today's cameras that's the way I do it. Take advantage of it if you can. Here's an example of it in use in a studio: http://www.examedia.nl/x01/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/live_view.jpg this way you can set the shutter and aperture and see what happens to your exposure. In this shot (just an example) it's set at 1/60th f/5.6 with an ISO of 1250. Now you can go in adjust and see the changes live. Watch me at C&C sometime. You'll see I use it a lot. I do it there for a number of reasons including that I tend to shoot low. The other is for instant viewing of the settings and scene. Just a thought.
  4. I hate buying toys made in China for my kids let alone a fucking car. I suppose it would be funny to label that model the BBQ.
  5. Go buy a bunch more shit and blame it on them too. :gabe: That would suck. Wish I knew where to begin. Keep up posted on your findings as this unfolds.
  6. Enjoying what you do with ample amount of autonomy is priceless. IMO, money shouldn't ever be the top reason you make a move. It's in there, but if all you see in the offer is money, then you're probably right. Obtain the rest first, achieve your goals and if negotiated well to begin with, the money will follow.
  7. Saw it in person today. :ninja: Looks great.
  8. Even in our subdivision it's a HUGE pet-peeve of mine when people walk, push a stroller or allow their kids to act is if they own the street. I love the debate about safety when this shit comes up. USE THE FUCKING SIDEWALK! That's way they are for :fuuuu: Sure my 9yr wants to do like his friends and ride in the road but he listens to our rules for his own safety. Funny how all those that argued and pissed on me at our neighborhood meetings over the years stopped cold as of about 2 months ago when a 10yr old boy was hurt as he plowed into a car driving in the road. He's fine, could have died though, but the OLD LADY in her Corolla coming around the culdesac stopped her car as he blindly jumped off the curb and right into her car. DUMB FUCK Kid and dumb ass parents who exposed him to death by saying it's okay to ride in the street. He easily could have been killed. Hey, I am adult with decent skills on a bike, but I consider it rolling the dice to put my ass at 15-20mph usually far less, on a secondary road with cars and trucks going 40-50mph. No thanks. I'd sooner tease a hood-rat pit bull through a screen door. But hey, this is America where just because I can > common sense. Think about this too, the next time a bike and car collide, it's not immediately the cars fault and the driver also has to live with the results. It's not all about Johnny dodging pot holes as he chooses willingly not to use a dedicate bike path for his sport of choice. Use some sense and consider reducing the exposure you as a bike rider put on so many drivers of actual vehicles to these consequences the next time you slide on your bicycle shorts.
  9. a few bicyclists perhaps. wanna go pinch them against the curb in a minivan :gabe:
  10. Stick to riding your ATV on the front lawns of your nieghbors. it's more fun that way.
  11. Your shots of downtown are excellent. Nice job! As noted above, shoot F8 as that's likely the sweet spot of your lens. I wouldn't go much above that. It's not a DOF thing as in distance shots like that DOF is deep already, it's more a sweet spot within the lens.
  12. Audi...LOL. Otherwise now it's good :gabe:
  13. I'm okay with birds in the air, but when geese decide to cross the road, I'm not going to lose control to try and save 'em.
  14. Paul are you calling him out? My money is on the Huffy vs your Accord. :gabe:
  15. I merely gave my opinion and came to the table with a solution in the form of a strong suggestion. I'm not "telling" anyone anything. People can ride on beat-dick roads with angry impatient drivers putting their lives in danger all they want. Stupid is as stupid does. Darwin will fix most issues. I don't give a shit what riders do with their lives. So far as I'm concerned, secondary roads like Snouffer and Roberts Road are for cars and trucks not bikes so I'll continue to pass and make my presence known when riders are in the way. Two wide or not, you will be passed. And don't even think of sneaking around me on the right at the red light as I'll rub the curb with my wheels if I have to. Stay the fuck behind traffic, wait your turn and OBEY The LAWS. I had an ass-hat try that on Sawmill and he ended up having to work his ass off hopping the curb and riding in the grass only to get caught at the intersection where perhaps he should have either stayed in his lane or walked his bike across. Sorry ass-hat.
  16. Good luck with sale. My wife went absolutely bonkers with our checkbook when our kids were born. We still have 5 large tubs of shit. Even after me donating stuff here and there, tossing stuff now and then, selling some, etc. :ninja: but we're in the final stages of making it go away.
  17. Your life I suppose but IMO perhaps you should ride on a less busy road and one that's not beat to fuck with pot holes. I pass riders on Snouffer all the time and many of them get pissed, but WTF they are riding there for is beyond me. Edges are gravel and bumpy and beat to hell too. Not an intelligent thing to do IMO....but hey, stupidity is legal. Go to a the bike paths all over Dublin, Westerville, Linworth, etc..
  18. Andy could do that car wonders.

    Question

I've been looking for it :ninja: True. Cops know that it's the meet up spot and are just waiting for the stupidity to come out. So far I think everyone has either been good or lucky or good and lucky. I need to get my ass out there. C&C is fun but I need to get out at night when the kids and wife are asleep.
  20. Likely had more pussy in his life than all of CR combined though.
  21. Congrats again. Can't wait to see it with drop, new wheels and tint
