Goal for 2020 was to get rid of mine. Achieved. Traded it in and am going to simply rock my wife's old SUV until we turn in the lease in a couple months. From there I'll drive my son's car as work has grounded us from "travel" until at minimum the end of March. I really have no need for a vehicle. I'm not even yet sure I'll get one in 2021! What a crazy feeling....

Does this car look like it's nearly 18yrs old with 151,000 miles on it? 😎 So my Friend Richard has a beautiful 2003 LeMans Blue BMW M5 that I detailed and ceramic coated back in July of 2018. He had some minor touch up work done to the rear bumper, decklid and front fender so I polished and perfected those panels out and applied the ceramic coatings to them. While in for that we also decided to remove 17yrs of use from the Caramel color carpet that is now super difficult to find in OEM form. I also cleaned up and treated the Nappa Heritage Leather and outside the wear on the driver side seat, everything else came out perfect! No more off-color carpet, and dark stains from the rubber mats and dirt that accumulated and stained the carpet around the edges of the floor mats. Continued thanks to Rick for his trust in my work as one by one his awesome German Vehicle Collection is restored to near new/like new condition. This beauty looks great and inside now smells like fresh leather and is super clean. Process involved the following: My 6 Gallon Heated Extractor, Proper trio of chemicals with a handy sprayer to pre-treat and of course the Tornador and Velocity Vac

^^ spot-on. I think the new line is nice despite shortcomings many of the reviews have touched on. How the heavy power hitter versions will do just like their lessor counterparts will have a lot to do with how they are priced. I loved the ATS-V until I sat down inside and saw the dash and that dang infotainment system. Pricing was a bit much too but it wasn't that far off. The 2016 and up CTS-V is really nice and while I'm all for a bigger car, I'm not sure they carried over what previous V owners wanted and price wise, I don't care how good it was, it was out-there for the money. Sales Prove it. IMO once you cross that $65-70k mark you better be able to hang as at that point people who can afford it need to see the brand being worth it and I don't think overall most do. Again, overall sales figures show it. We'll see. Caddy makes some great 3-4yr old used cars.

No cares here. We have NetFlix, Prime and I use my Roku for many of the rentals, etc. but even there, I'm not spending $12-20 on "new release" just to rent it at my home. $4 to $6 sure but not more. Especially given this crap on the list of what's coming out. Give me the new Top Gun Movie, and I'll probably just buy-it to have both and call it a day. Until then, there's plenty of streaming stuff that's good. In the end, once 2021 and more normalcy comes about the last thing anyone is going to want to do is stay plopped down on the couch watching TV. Get out and do shit. I'm not going through another summer like this one next year.

Lennox AMC closing ..... fallout for Cars & Coffee?

Thanks! I offered to do the actual wheel (better looking than covers) but they opted out and want to run with them for now. They may change their mind if snow gets packed in their though. I can and do detail through most weather. At times I choose not to do exteriors when it's well below freezing since by code we don't have a drain in the garage and my driveway turns to an ice rink The exception would be if the incoming vehicle is decently clean, I can do a rinseless on it and be fine. Otherwise, if it gets above 32, yes. Interiors are year-round.

So 2 of 2 for the husband and wife Tesla team came to me this week for her turn at getting the Deep Blue Metallic beauty shined up and protected via my New Vehicle Package. Both received the same 3 layer GYEON treatment / ceramic coating system that will leave them super-hydrophobic and protected for 2 full years here in Ohio. Paint, trim and wheels were all coated and looking good. Her vehicle had several hundred miles on it and really only one defect that was easy to resolve. I love the metallic flake and beauty of this color. Combined with the black and white interior it's a really good looking ride and one that I don't see many like around here.My only regret is that mother nature this time of year is hiding the sunshine that would help the photos do the vehicle justice. Onto the pics!

Congratulations man! Some good things are still happening in 2020 for sure.

Good to hear Clay. We just got a few updates on positives in Dublin. Thankfully our school board and their advisors are against closing in-person and instead just take the sick kids out. Enjoy the upcoming holiday week.

Agree. The 90D is a great package. I came close to a deal on a 85D a few years back and probably should have taken it. The styling is still current IMO and the interior is decent. 3's are nice but build wise I just can't help but compare them to a basic Chevy. Still not impressed enough to own one.

So a couple that recently picked up his & her Tesla 3's Came to me through a referral from a previous detail. We started off with the husbands car first finished in Midnight Silver Metallic. Both are really nice dual motor long range units, they really spared no expense and are planning some nice modifications to both starting with the finish. I had to LOL when the wife was the one who is excited that they have the option of Ludicrous Mode or some type of performance upgrade available OTA whenever they choose. The New Car Polish & Protect I offer was put in motion but they upgraded to a full 3 layer GYEON Coating over the paint and wheels to ensure the maximum hydrophobic property, gloss & the top coat is also super slick. There's not much plastic trim except for along the rear valance and thus I included that in the package. I'm really looking forward to working on the next one as it's a beautiful Deep Blue Metallic color with the two-tone black and white interior.

Yep. stupid FB police. Was having a spirited debate with someone that was totally legit, nothing foul, everyone was courteous, but evidently if you tell someone that you're going to "beat them with facts" and then outline details to support an argument, they consider that "threatening and bullying language" and put you in a 30 day time out. The appeal system is as dumb as their rules. Meanwhile people actually saying and doing much worse get nothing said to them. Been busy building a new Desktop Rig, Upgraded my RAID system, bought a new camera and have been doing some photography stuff along with keeping the detailing going. Back online later this week.

won't shed a tear when someone mows 100 of them down at some point.

So a fellow member of an Audi Forum contacted me regarding his Moonlight Blue Metallic 2013 S4 wearing 19" S5 wheels, that hasn't been waxed or had anything more than a tunnel wash since 2015. He put it off for longer than he realized and knew that it was just too much work for him to tackle and like many, he just wanted a clean start to begin caring for it day-forward. Overall the car wasn't horrible but it was swirled. Wanting to stick to a budget, he decided on my Premium Enhancement Polish package which is a single stage correction that on this car was targeted to achieve about 75% or so reduction in the marring. Mission accomplished too. Another item he wanted was to remove the front fender V6T Badges and replace them with the "supercharged" badges shown here. Easy enough and no ghosting was left behind at all. To protect it better, he opted for the Cquartz Ceramic Coating on the vehicles finish. All in all I love the color and feel it turned out quite nice. I just wish mother nature would have provide some sun to catch the metallic in the paint. This car goes from near black in appearance at night to a muted blue in the clouds to a nice metallic blue in the sunshine. Very cool and not so common color on these. Onto the pics!

Thanks man. I think he was most happy with the wheels. Gloss black always looks good clean but they are a PIA to keep nice. Now they are all polished back to new and coated so he should be good for a while. In terms of your new lease, just get the new vehicle package and coat it. Both ours are going back in Feb. Tamie's is still performing like new and I only polished it once back when we first got it.

So fellow CR Member John aka Johnny2theG, contacted me to breath some glowing life back into his Black 201 Mustang GT Performance Pack with the notoriously difficult to maintain gloss black wheels. The main thing was to install a nice ceramic coating to not only enhance the looks but to help with day-forward ease of cleaning. The car has a fair share of plastic trim/molding that also had seen it's share of wax and polish from days past that when left in place can be difficult to remove. Adding a nice Trim coating also helps darken it up and preserves that look too. So all in we selected my Basic Polish & Protect with Ceramic Coating install on the painted finish, wheels and trim. Now, onto the pics: Overall, the marring on the paint wasn't bad and what I consider light. Based on that and maintaining a budget, the above package proved a solid choice. Couple BEFORE pics AFTER showing it some love

Outside history showing the spikes go up and down no as the data there doesn't track that. The .csv file only tracks what the state enters thus why I linked you to another source of information that better tracks what you're looking to see. Even there however, there's no real good source that I've found that tracks length of stay or treatments both of which are important but appear to be improving. In the end, each local gov't, state and hospital has had time to improve their response and preparedness. I would like to think if there was good leadership they would have that all set and ready. IIRC the Convention Center beds were dismantled but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I've followed all that.

Outside the anecdotal data from the 3 MD's I have in my family, 1 in Cbus, 1 in Zainy and way up in Oregon, I use the following link to keep what tabs we as citizens can on things. The upside I'm hearing is the stays are shorter thus turning of beds is quicker. I also know that being end of year hospitals in general will get busier as elective procedures increase and as in general people are out to use their yearly benefits so covered procedures that they put off will happen in Q4. https://covidactnow.org/state/OH?s=1309318

Based on Ohio's .csv file the numbers are revealing. No doubt the discovery of testing is on the rise and it is due in part to increased testing. We've ramped up numbers double digits for months now. From 13k per day in June to 49k per day thus far in November. Now testing alone is the reason of course, but location of those tests will also ramp up discovery of cases. The health dept through contact tracing knows where to set up shop as the hot spots become clear. Together More Testing in the Hot Spots will increase the positivity rate. Is the virus spreading faster? perhaps but we do know that we can find more when we test more and test in the correct areas. The upside is each month as testing increases the case fatality rates for the various age groups drop. Hospitalizations are important of course. The whole pandemic started with the flattening of the curve to protect the hospital system. That never mean all those under the curve that got it or even died from it wouldn't it just the results / impact would be more spread out over time to allow the systems the ability to catch up and cope. Hospitalizations can increase with the increase in cases but the rate at which they are going up has been slowing since May. In other words the number of people testing positive the amount per day that end up hospitalized is dropping. It was as high as 14% back in May, then 8% in June, 7% in both July and August, even last month with a sharp increase in positives, it was only 5% and thus far 10 days into November we are at 4%. Thus despite DeWine trying to scare people today with his case numbers which continue to be based on "reported on dates" not ACTUAL dates the hospitalization rate per case is down 20% over last month and 33% lower than we saw in September. I think we can all agree deaths are the key factor of concern. Thankfully there too the numbers and rate of death has been dropping and we stand at the lowest death count per day all year even today. The rate of death per case and rate of death per hospitalization are both dropping. In summary as of today less people per positive test, per hospitalization and overall are dying than at any point since March. Here too, DeWine avoids talking about deaths because the numbers are not only at record lows month after month but the rate of death per cases this month is 50% lower than last month and that was over 65% lower September. Deaths per hospitalization are down nearly 40% over last month too. To put numbers to it, when Ohio "opened back up" in May we tracked at 39 deaths per day. July as bad as it was stood at 22 per day, September with it's media hyped "spike" in cases, 18 per day, October 14 and November....we are at 9 per day. In Franklin county he haven't lost anyone in November. Last month, 5 people out of nearly 2M. Sadly deaths do continue to be among the elderly with 80-90% being in those over age 70. Protect the elderly. Cliffs: Positive cases are going up for lots of reasons but the improvements in terms of hospitalizations and deaths are so strong that it's absolutely no surprise the media in Ohio isn't covering it. Those stats wouldn't fit the narrative to keep people in fear thus in control.

Nice job! Have enjoyed watching the progress along the way too. What are the long terms plans for it?

Never really spent much time looking at the VW Golf R but this 2019 is pretty darn nice. Like a fully loaded all digital dash Audi Hatch really. Love that it's a 6 speed too. This new Ohio resident who moved in from West Virginia had never had a vehicle detailed but after 18k miles and a little over 13 months of ownership and never really doing much to it, he decided it was time. Not wanting to spend a ton was a goal which worked out well as I don't look to put people in a package that they don't need. Under all the dirt and bugs was a super thick paint that honestly didn't have much in the way of scratches or swirls. My Basic Polish & Protect was perfect for him and yielded a near full paint correction. As a fall upgrade I included a 12mo ceramic coating at No Charge as I know once he sees how it sheds dirt and water he will love it and never go back to a sealant again. Again, overall, the car was really just dirty, laden with bugs due to lots of WV travels and the roof loaded with tree sap from parking it outside. Paint contamination was badly needed. Once area that was swirled pretty bad and is very typical were the B-Pillars. It was something that bothered him a lot and not surprising considering it's an area seen every time he gets in his car. An easy fix that is very noticeable once out in the sun. One thing I really like about the car is the piano black trim. Sets off the pearl paint so nicely. Gloss black wheels can be a pain but they do look good. Another subtle touch is finally getting his exhaust tips back to new again. dirty and soot covered, they needed a little love.

cases are just one data point and per day are rising but I'm not at all concerned with cases. It's hospitalizations and fatalities which are most important and both are not putting us in dire straights at all. Deaths and the case fatality rates are dropping and have been for months. You have to look at it from more than just cases. Put the Ohio .csv file into a spreadsheet and track the real numbers by the day.

You are leading with emotion and reading into my post. I didn't imply spending was one sided. You've followed me here and know I believe in smaller govt and less spending not more. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

honestly haven't followed the details in this thread, but IMO the markets short term won't change much. 2021 is set up to be a good year no matter who won. Dems will likely put forth the stimulus again borrowing from our grand kids and I'm sure they will look for some type of infrastructure bill and once the covid BS subsides volumes in things will return and will trend things upward. I do however think if Biden rolls back things to the Obama years ways, so too will business but that's not likely going to happen the first half of next year if at all in 2021. For now, I've left my investments to stay the course and have made out well.
