^^ this. in the end, the guy didn't like being called a pussy and proved the guy wrong. hell, even after being shot the wife is like "you fucker!" Definitely sounds like there was an ongoing situation that just culminated. YT removed it but it's still out there. https://zpatriot.com/2021/02/04/video-man-murders-two-pa-neighbors-over-snow-shoveling-disputeall-caught-on-camera/

because electric cars are totally Carbon Neutral and so good for the environment. Sure.

What car, year make and miles, etc. If you're getting tossed odd numbers with such huge variants, that's usually a sign they just don't want it. Any "online" offer is always going to be low. ALL those services are simply lead generating tools for dealers. The real offer will be made when you are in the seat ready to move. I went through this on my Q50.
-
Yep. I ran 12.2's at 116mph down at Edgewater with just a piggyback tune. A full "real" tune on them they are in the high 11's. Downpipe and intercooler update and you're in low to mid 11's. Compare that with my S4 that was several thousands to get it to do that. I 100% loved mine as it was. $350 JB4 and send it. :bangbang:

Love it! Not off my shopping list by any means. Have driven both the A10 and Manual and as fun and satisfying rowing is, especially in a Mustang, I agree, the delivery of power in the auto is fun too and there is something about being older and lazier at times. Most of CR Approved

The B8.5 series is pretty solid. The ONLY reason I sold it was really my fault. Went stage III with a dual pulley set up and figured I could get another year or so out of it without issues but the power and heat was too much for the cats and the supercharger heat sinks. Cats at the very beginning of failure turned me off immediately. 12hrs labor is enough plus parts, etc. wasn't in my cards to spend that much on it. otherwise, I'd still own it as I loved it with no issues otherwise. Leave them stock or go Stage I and call it a day.

Haha. I didn't really either until I was ready to get rid of my S4 and found it for so much less than a new German Deal to be had at the time. Lease on it was coming due and as you can see from the mileage I really never drove it to the level I thought I would so it was really pointless to have it any more than I did. Should have sold it months earlier. Wife's car is going away next. Used the money to just buy her new car outright and for me, I'm my sons car and her old Lincoln until I decide what it is I want to do next. Like you, I may go with another nice daily or I may just rock a smaller plebeian daily and buy a toy. I'm fickle and honestly not having a car to worry about for the time being is actually oddly nice. Here are some pics of it. Just call me if you have any questions on it. Happy to fill you in on the car. Go see Jeff at Byers used center and tell him I sent you. They haven't had much action on it so I'm sure they will be anxious to deal. Here's a gallery of images on it from over the past few years. I still have a few nice add-ons for it including a much larger cargo net, brand new set of carpeted mats and a Pro-Clip Cell mount. I also have the stock axle back exhaust but the sport exhaust from Infiniti I put on it sounds amazing. Super quiet on the freeway too. Tires on the car are only 8k mile old. Pulled the stock run-flats off during the first week and ran with some Conti's but they were pretty harsh. at about 11k miles I put some Michelin Touring tires on it and LOVED them. Inside is 10/10 like new as is the outside of course. 3 layers of ceramic on it. Here it is at Mazda: https://www.byersmazda.com/used/INFINITI/2018-INFINITI-Q50-columbus-4b6488ba0a0e0ae8632ffabe00b7cb26.htm

My old Q50 Redsport is at Byers Mazda Has under 20k on the clock and you can pick it up for less than $34k for sure.

It's also a good one to select when one is looking to upgrade brakes, suspension and add on some go-fast parts all of which Scott is likely going to do. I would love a manual in one for sure but he has his reasons. Both a regular driver and from a power standpoint, he likely just prefers it. Also and one thing I will add is this is a super clean copy so it's often hard to pass up something like this one for other reasons.

Not this one.

So Scott picked up a really nice 2014 Chevy SS in Phantom Black Metallic with just over 45k on the ODO recently and looked into getting it brought back to near new condition. Overall the car is in great shape and while the previous owner took care of it, they also took it through some car washes and based on what I can tell never had it machine polished. The trim was fading, including the cowling area and rear valance but nothing that was too-far gone to fix. After going over it with Scott we settled on my Premium Polish Enhancement package and a nice dual layer ceramic coating. Like most GM cars, the clear is moderate in density and I knew with this level of correction I could get it near perfect. Goal achieved. With only a few random hairline scratches from the car washes which aren't worth chasing down, the paint came out fantastic. Great news is the front end is in excellent shape with not much indication it's ever been on long trips (no sandblasting) and very very few chips or touch up points. Thus down the road Paint Protection Film (PPF) will prove nearly invisible. Protection wise, two layers of CarPro Coatings, their excellent Trim Coating and of course a layer of coating on the wheels which should help keep them nice until Scott upgrades as per his plans. As seen here, the paint had a moderate amount of swirls and scratches. More than enough to really interfere and dull the appearance of the finish and prevent the metallic in the paint from really popping out. Easy enough to fix. Once I had things dialed in product and pad wise, it was off to correction city I never really looked into the SS before, but now that I have, I'd say I a much better understanding of this really nice looking sleeper of a car. Easy to see why it's in demand. The wheels cleaned up okay. It's clear the previous owner wasn't hard-core into keeping them nice and my guess is they have seen their share of winter weather and salt which doesn't play nice with them. Finding a car with little to no chips or road rash on the front clips is nice. No repaint or any paint work here either. As you can see, the entire bottom half of the rear bumper came out great. Fully coated and nice and dark in color and satin in finish now Here she sits parked until the weather breaks this week just teasing me to buy something fun Here's a 50/50 shot of the cowling being restored and protected. Notice the far left how it's greyed out and chalking looking. The rear valance was not far from this too. Now both are good to go for quite a while. Thanks to Scott for his trust in my work and allowing me the opportunity to bring this black beauty back to it's glory. He explained that this particular color and year weren't the SS enthusiasts favorite but IMO anyone who doesn't like black, especially a nice metallic, has likely never hand anyone properly polish it out and create the depth that it deserves. -tim

Great seeing you last week man! Thanks for the props. It was certainly rewarding seeing this beast come back to life.

Yep. Just about all the Detailing Groups I'm on have put up stickies noting that the admins are NOT the ones removing posts that it's Facebook and the bots. I rarely if ever see even remotely offensive posts in these groups either as it's just detailing chat. The rare instance anything strays to politics, etc. it gets huge backlash as the groups are fun and not into that stuff. Very odd.

Was a great game though. Haven't watched much if any games in the last few years but growing up in Cleveland I had to watch today. I think they will do well in the coming years.

This thread needs it. For just over 2 years I've changed up my diet and life a LOT. Just about to finish up a 2 year course in nutritional medicine and learned a ton of good stuff. However, most of it is related to understanding what your body is telling you. I am on a 8/16 eating/fasting window. Occasionally my body will push me to a 10/14 but overall I've found my zone. IMO key is to listen to what your body is telling you. Sleep wise, I'm up just about every day by 5am waking on my own. Today, 5:30 but I spent yesterday on a detail and need a bit more sleep. I was out by 9:30pm and while that seems early to may, it was what my body wanted. Couple key points that will help a lot of people. WATER: We hear it a lot, drink water. I have coffee in the morning and some in the afternoon (not good on many levels) but it's my vice, but otherwise, I drink nothing but plain water. SLEEP: Get plenty. If you're body begins signlally that you're tired, go to bed. Don't look at the clock and determine you need to stay up and binge watch trash because it's only 9pm. Sleep. Likewise, wake up on your own. If you're up to piss, different story, but if you wake up and don't pretty much fall back to sleep, you've likely hit the window and are ready to get up. It will take about 2 weeks to adjust. When I first started I was up anywhere from 3:30 to 6am and my body finally settled on about 5am. Sometimes 4:30. Crazy as it sounds, it's perfect. I get a shit-ton done in the am with no one interrupting me. FOOD: Try the fasting window thing. Kitchen in our house closes at 7pm. No exceptions. None. Don't eat the next morning until your body tells you you're hungry. If you wake at 5am you might not eat until 9 to 11am. That's my window. If I have to be somewhere but haven't eaten because I'm not hungry, I take something with me. From there, the key is to consume all your food in an 8hr window. Maybe 9-10 if you have to stretch it while you adjust. Key again though, don't eat until you're hungry. Sometimes that means you're not eating lunch a the typical 12-1pm hour. That's okay. I ate lunch yesterday at 3pm. 7pm was my "close" time so I just didn't eat as much thus allowing me to not feel too full. If you find yourself hungry between meals it's NOT snack time, it means you ate too little and/or not the right stuff (fiber), complex carbs, and need to adjust your intake amount. So long as you're not eating processed crap and the wrong stuff, you'll drop lbs like crazy and feel awesome. We're still in covid, take the time to get up early and take an online college course and study something fun and useful. It's changed my life.

^^ this all day. your car is super clean and nice as it is. from there, I'd do the polisher thing on it including some trim work and enjoy that baby all day every sunny day. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing what you decide.

Thank you sir. Not sure if I follow the question entirely, but I believe you're referencing something along the lines of doing more correction work, thus removing more clear-coat but balancing that with a ceramic and upkeep. Here's the deal, in short no. Ceramic will not replace clear coat. The thickness of clear will vary from vehicle to vehicle and how much is removed when correcting will as well. In 90% of the situations where I'm posting correction work, the amount of clear removed in terms of microns is very minimal. The ceramic will protect the car and finish day-forward no doubt but in terms of UV protection, clear is best. Again, just to close out and assure you, the amount of material being removed in a correction job can be measured, is typically minimal thus not doing any harm and while one could go more, I know when to stop. Most daily driven normal vehicles can have multiple corrections done over the years and will be just fine. Measuring first and evaluating every panel though as I do is key as I can tell right away what the history of the paint care has been. I hope all the above helps. Clarification Point for those reading through all this and may not have picked up on it, the Lexus here was NOT ceramic coated. It was simply a 1-Step polish/sealant. Should be good through spring but David knows to keep up on it with a spray sealant or wax of some sort.
-
Thank you sir! David loves bringing me challenges Actually the clear coat is fine. This beast hadn't been polished much in its life. Plenty left. Keep in mind too, while this did "correct" the approach we agreed upon wasn't a correction package. It has soft paint thus even with my Basic Polish & Protect, my work will yield results like this. Sure, I could have pushed to do a correction package and charged more, but that's not at all my style. I knew it would come through very nicely and allowed for his budget to be used on removing the interior odors and germs. Whoever gets it when he sells it "could" invest in a further detail to remove more of the marks but I personally would have to weigh the costs vs removing that protective clear on a 14yr old vehicle. I'd leave it just like this if it were mine personally too. Looking forward to hearing Davids thoughts as he has a chance to review it at home. Thanks to him for his continued trust in my work and friendship over the years. Enjoy the beast and enjoy keeping a big black SUV clean

So David, a fellow CR Member has brought me several vehicles over the years. He's got an eye for finding some pretty cool stuff but they do often need some love. This SUV was no exception. This 14 year old beast has rolled just over 150k and recently came to him from Buffalo, NY thus it lived a tough life, especially weather wise. The goal here wasn't perfection nor even any real correction. Rather David chose my Basic Polish & Protect offering. It is not a paint correction package, but the use of a machine polisher combined with the proper polishing agents best for that manufacturers paint will smooth out fine blemishes greatly reducing the appearance of swirls & imperfections while brightening the paint’s color to enhance the gloss of the protective sealant. In this case, Lexus has really easy paint to work on, it actually yielded some pretty outstanding results for the combination thrown at it. To freshen things up a bit he also opted for full Chlorine Dioxide Treatment to remove lingering odors including that of smoke. Overall now the beast is super clean, has outstanding gloss, polished glass, restored rear bumper cover and running boards and no longer smells like smoke. As you can see, it was pretty rough. Nothing I've not seen before however but nonetheless pretty rough. With a few passes, quite a bit of an improvement was had Combined with swirls all over, random scratches on every panel, oxidation made it's way in to the situation as well. Even after nearly 2hrs of washing and decontaminating the vehicles finish what remained caused even the smaller panels to call for multiple pads. I think I used upwards nearly 24 pads for the entire vehicle. Overall, however, I think the efforts were worth it

I had a 220w electric run to a small electric and have never looked back. Gas is great, may be cheaper but this was inexpensive, quick, easy and works awesome. It's small too. My garage is very well insulated and 24x24. This unit will roast me out if I want. Most of the time I keep it between 60-65° though as I get hot working out there. It does so with ease.

I know right? It makes me want a Mazda just for the color. If I roll with a plebeian dailiy driver, the 3 Turbo in Red with gloss black accents is really a great looking sedan. The smaller CX-30 is too. My wife laughed thinking no way I would but I've strongly considered an Accord Turbo but then heck would love to have AWD which makes me look at used TLX's now that new model will drop prices of the outgoing one. But then then I'm right back to Mazda that has a turbo, super nice interior and ride and AWD for even less. Agree. Heck, every year I get stuck with 3-4 months of crummy pics on great details. Thanks Ohio. Continued thanks. Optimum and Leather Masters make some great products. Griot's Garage too. Older leather, I do the Leatherique Treatment. Works awesome. Then treat with Optimum going forward.

Not sure what others think, but to me Mazda makes one of the best looking red colors around. Soul Red Metallic is definitely a color I like. This is Tamie's new-to-her 2018 CX-5 Touring that we picked up with just over 32k miles on it. It's been in service just over 30 months and was in need a of a make over. Overall the car was in good shape less the swirls from a lifetime of tunnel washes. The treatment here given Mazda also has about the thinnest paint out there, was to get it between 85-90% correction leaving room for future polishes and re-coatings as needed. Maybe not a long term ride for her but I would expect we'll keep it 5-7 years at minimum. I put it through it's full paces of course, including a full steam extraction the day we brought it home. A full leather treatment including a leather coating and a full engine cleaning. After enjoying some time off for the holidays it was time to get to the exterior of it. Here I did my Premium Enhancement Polish, which is a good 1-Step Correction which included a base-coat primer as a prep for the ceramic coating heading its way. Ceramic wise, it received the full treatment, Glass Coating on all windows and mirrors, Wheels were polished and ceramic coated, Plastic Trim and Cladding was cleaned and stripped then coated to keep it black and fresh too. Paint coating wise, this one received 3-Layers of CarPro's offering. Two products including their newest Silicon Carbide Ceramic. Finally door jams were polished and sealed as all too many manufacturers leave them dull and lifeless with minimal clear coat on them. Now onto the pics. Typical grey weather in Ohio but at least mother nature gave me a few dry minutes to take her outside for photos. So how bad was it? Let's just say the paint matched the tail lights Engine is cleaned but up next will be the underside of the hood. Pretty much the only part I didn't get to this time. Trim all coated including the cowling area which always takes a beating Doors and Door Jambs all polished. Aftermarket Door sills installed too. The Gold Metallic Flake really pops under the lighting. Can't wait to see her all cleaned up in the sunshine

Like new condition, used for 3yrs on my 2018 Infiniti Q50 RedSport 400. Even this basic 3psi bump in power completely transforms the performance of the vehicle, especially down-low in the power band. GOBS of Torque added just as the car SHOULD have been produced. Completely safe, Plug / Unplug in 3 minutes, thus you can easily maintain warranty as it's undetectable. A must have if you have a RedSport 400 Q50 or Q60. Sell for $379 plus shipping if purchased new. CR Price $200 firm but if you help me sell this, you keep anything above the $200 as your commission. I want this gone. https://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/d/columbus-burger-motorsports-jb1-for/7253523015.html Thanks! Tim
