  1. Cleaned up a set of Range Rover Headlights for a fellow Columbus Racing Team Member last night These are off a 2009 with over 130k miles on it. Overall they weren't horrible but crazing on the tops was certainly there. Sanding helps reduce the appearance of the road-rash they had taken over the years too. Good news is Eric approached having them corrected sooner rather than later. The reason being is once they begin to craze like this, damage goes deep into the lens and once too bad, they become irreparable. Thanks to Eric aka Shmaa for his trust in my work. I'm very appreciative of it and happy to help where I can. Before and After Shots: Both all Done:
  2. Thanks all. Towel wise I use All Free and Clear. Lint is common. I use the micro Suede CarPro coating towels for removal of coatings and for quick detailing black cars. Zero lint. https://www.autogeek.net/suede-microfiber-cloths-40.html?productid=suede-microfiber-cloths-40&channelid=FROOG&utm_source=CSEs&utm_medium=GoogleProductSearch&utm_campaign=CSE&utm_campaign=1504990722&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=287205172222&utm_term=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhIP6BRCMARIsALu9Lfmp7DXE6-UToX7fi_S9qChbfcwAPrg7Rf68qXcLHaogOPyPeyop4EQaAqlbEALw_wcB Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  3. So a good friend and member of law enforcement (amazing car guys), brought me a referral who just treated himself to a gorgeous brand new 2020 Carerra S for a full polish and ceramic coating project as he sets into retirement after 31 years of service. Brought to me with only 153 miles on the ODO the owner has already tinted the windows and recognized that even a $130K vehicle comes with slight scratches from the lot attendant likely "prepping it" for delivery. They also swirled out the black on the roof either side of the sunroof. Just like B-Pillars though, they polish out amazingly well. None of that's a problem and easily fixed. The color of this bad-boy is what is so striking. A beautiful deep but not dark blue metallic with a hint of a pearl in it. Once completely polished and coated the color darkened up a shade and now really pops! Here he went with a Dual Layer Cquartz coating on the paint, Trim, Wheel and Glass coatings rounded out the complete package. No more having to worry about dressing the plastic trim up front and around back as it will stay as it's shown here, nice and dark with a great satin finish. When it does see rain, the glass will shed water like a duck too. Onto the Pics! The front and rear trim will stay this nice making it so much easier to clean I love this color. Really growing on me Wheels were polished and coated as well. I didn't do a wheel-off but was able to get into the barrels with ease. 100% correction across the board. Perfect!
  4. Thank you. Me too. Overall, great turnout and happy to see it looking sharp. Here are a couple other shots of after. Clarity is good and correction in most all areas solid. Have to call it quits at some point as perfection wasn't the goal but it is a save. Thank you sir! LOL on the Foxbody play
  5. Inside came out great! I was very pleased with it as was the owner. Seats were coated so as to protect them from future dirt and especially dye transfer from blue jeans which is the main driver behind the product I used. Not so many pics of as I wanted to finish up and shower. LOL!
  6. So a referral from a previous customer picked up a new to him 2017 Genesis G80 5.0L V8 in Caspian Black Metallic with a great looking sandstone interior with black accents with about 40k miles on it and asked that I look it over for correction services. The upside was overall it appeared clean but the devil is in those details and even a light layer of road grime hides a LOT of imperfections. Pun intended. Once I began to clean and decontaminate it, the devil began to reveal itself. The major hurdle to helping bring this beast back to looking sharp was overcoming the fact that the previous owner or perhaps the dealer scoured the entire lower half of the vehicle including the front and rear bumper covers with a scotch-brite pad or something similar and very abrasive. The scratches were deep and covered every inch in a very uniform pattern from mid-door level down including the rocker/kick panels. The initial plan was to go with my Premium Enhancement Polish as they could live with less than perfection for a daily driver. We had to augment the plan a bit to account for quite a bit of compounding as it was clear that a one-step wasn't going to help much. To help protect it going forward the owner went with a dual layer ceramic coating on the paint and wheels thus making everything much easier to clean and of course look awesome. Inside the plan was pretty straight forward with a full steam cleaning, leather conditioning and once over from top to bottom to remove quite a bit of embedded grime that light colored interiors tend to trap. Thankfully no surprises inside and all went as planned and my new equipment did so well, the final rinse extraction was nearly clear water. Overall the car turned out beautiful and the owner was more than pleased. I will say my opinion of the G80 jumped up a few notches too as it's a fine comparison to the 5-Series or even an Audi A6. There really is something to be said for a powerful linear V8 too. Now onto the pics! Let's start with the carnage. Detailer tip of the day, do NOT use an abrasive pad to remove anything from your vehicles finish. WOW! The vehicle was so bad and hiding so much that I used 2 pads per panel, 6 on the hood. These are going to be fun to clean. Outside, I love the profile. Wheels could be sportier but I like the satin nickle trim with a slight bronze tint to it. Wheels are very similar in finish to the trim. They polished up very well and overall are super clean.
  7. Can't wait to see it. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  8. Restored another set of crazed headlights last night. These are off Eric's (EC E92) 2009 Porsche Cayenne with over 165k miles on it. No need for new, let's just restore them and save hundreds of dollars. Helping keep vehicles looking good and their drivers seeing good at night too.

  10. Mike naparano iirc. Just exchanged some messages with him on FB. Ironically I was also just thinking about the old days as I saw Scott Cook from Intense o. Some of the Caddy forums. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

  12. Just say the word...PM, Text, Email, Call, Stop by, FB message, Carrier Pigeon, etc... Thank you again. Don't tell anyone. LOL! Thanks Guys. Steve, thank you again for the continued trust and business. Happy to help. Bring me another fun Porsche next time. For those that don't remember, this was a beauty that I know frequents cars and coffee. I think he made a few bucks on this one. From dirty swirls to wet black
  13. Fixed up a the 12yr old Subaru headlights tonight. I give them a 9/10 considering they done by someone previously who hit them with some pretty heavy grit paper and tried filling it with layers of clear. Before and after example. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  14. Do you leverage the dashboards which are simply "reported cases" or do you use the .csv file? The latter is the accurate one but the data there will lag and change for 2-3 weeks due to delays in reporting coming in. Actually, cases are up in July but overall, Ohio and Franklin County are doing great. June-July Comparison Cases are up 63% per day but the the highest age group at 25% is still the 20-29yr old. Kids under 19 are only up 1% or 54 cases Statewide Hospitalizations per day overall are only up 41% so the rate of hospitalizations vs cases is slowing despite elective procedures being in full-swing. Noted because hospitalizations WITH Covid vs because of covid are counted the same. The GREAT News is Deaths per day are DOWN 20% to only 15 per day. Ohioans below the age of 50 still remain at near no risk of dying from Covid. The elderly in 70+ age group continue to make up 73%+ of all deaths with and related to covid. Unlike regular influenza or even the common cold, this disease is most harmful to the elderly and those especially with comorbidities. School is about to start in some way but for the parents out there, please don't freak out if school-age kids get it. They aren't at any real risk. They are by far at more risk of long term issues or death driving to school than going to school and getting something as a result of Covid.
  15. And when we re-do your Pilot we will 2k clear them so they stay. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks x2 + I'll fix them up and I 2k clear spray all mine. Just takes a bit more time as I mask off the entire vehicle under plastic to avoid any over spray whatsoever but it really is the best way to keep them from turning back over time.
  17. Corded XCE 10-8-125. Would love to go cordless and may have to try it sometime but the drop in power is too much vs what I'm used to. I'm also not sure of the ergonomics with the battery at the end. The new XCE is already just a slight tick slower than the 3401 BEAST but it's actually quite good. Load quieter, not as much "gearing" noise and a little smoother due to the slightly slower speed. They say it runs cooler and it does but after about an hour or so it too heats up. That's never been a concern though.
  18. Haha! right? That particular door had some work done to it. Body filler and paint work for sure. Looking at it, someone tried to wet sand that thing with rocks. I clearly wasn't going to be able to fix that completely but unless one put the "ugly lights" on it like I do when detailing, it's hidden from view. May be worth getting re-sprayed depending on how he feels or how long he wants to keep it. It's pure black so it will be easy to match and relatively inexpensive. I gave him Kevin Clifford's info.
  19. So a long time member of CR, Chad Blount found a super deal on a 2011 VW Touareg TDI including over 47k in additional warranty left on this beast. Keep in mind she clocks-in here with over 140 on the odometer too. Loaded with all the goodies from the Executive package including 20" wheels this beast not only can pull but she looks great. Timeless design really. Inside the seats look like they have maybe 15k miles on them it's that nice. Outside however, Chad was really in need of getting her some love and thanks to many of you on the CR FB Group he put his trust in me to bring her back and shave off a few years of scrapes, fading, swirl city and then some. Being this is his daily driver and budget is always a factor, we selected my Premium Enhancement Polish Package combined with a dual layer ceramic coating. He also added in a trim restoration and coating to bring the before very faded plastics on the outside back. One last thing were the roof rails that are anodized aluminum and on many German Brands they were badly stained. Patrick had this on his TDI Wagon and just like there, I knew I could fix them up like new. Pics tell a thousand words, so onto them vs more text. As you can see the starting point overall was rough and amplified by it being a pure black color. The doors were really bad The Hood wasn't much better With a little love (lots of sweat) and some help from my new Flex XCE Polisher and some great CarPro Products, she's like new again. Trim coatings are by far one of the best options to pick Reflections off the Hood
  20. Sorry but would not comply. The gov't nor anyone needs to know when we exercise our rights. I don't need a license to own a firearm or buy ammo or make ammo.
  21. They say the third time is a charm, so here's another repeat customer with the third detail for me to complete. This is his wife's 2018 but now 3 years in service, Grand Cherokee Limited. This one is super nice. Every feature on-board with some really nice accents including gloss black trim and really nicely done metallic grey accent trim with mat finished wheels. He brought it in for my Basic Polish & Protect which isn't normally a paint correction package, but I bumped him up in grade of product used and leaned in just a bit because overall it wasn't going to take much to get this paint fully corrected. It's a daily driver that had a good deal of bugs, scuffs and general marks all over it and they were amplified in visibility being it's a pure white. No worries as they are all completely gone and the vehicle really does look brand new. I counted 2 small chips over the entire thing which is remarkable. I've said it before, while Jeeps like this don't have the best clarity, their paint is super thick and seem extremely well done and durable. White is very forgiving overall but this one is now perfect and I think the accents really show it off well. Continued thanks to CR for the support and continued trust in my work as this was a referral from one of our own here. Onto the pics:
  22. I read it. Still no reference to age and the above....."known" is the key word. LOTS of people are walking around with heart problems and don't know it. Again, look around at people, you really think a sample of 1,200 even at random, especially in Italy, is going to yield people with no pre-existing conditions like that?
  23. Interesting they gave no information on the age groups here. 80% of our hospitalizations in Ohio for example are over age 60 and it's not hard to believe 55% of those likely already have some heart related issues or underlying conditions. Especially given the health of most Americans and the statistics around Heart Related ailments and deaths.
