  1. probably sucks just kidding, dane. let me know if you guys are playing any shows over in my direction. we've been talking for a while, but i dont have a face to attach to the screen name, haha. and i'll listen to the new stuff as soon as i get a break from exams... i liked the last stuff i heard!
  2. yeah, im definitely going to be in the market for a new heater for my garage. as of now i have some tiny one that takes forever to heat up the garage, and i have to aim it right at me when im in there. what kind of heaters do you guys have?
  3. haha, im from philly but i go to school out here in ohio. i picked up "pennsyltucky" from some of my friends over in dirty jersey. here is a quick picture of my car last winter... lets just say i wasnt going to let it happen again. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c78/steveydthepirate/car.jpg
  4. whoever is going, enjoy! I saw them a few years ago in rome, with marky ramone as their drummer. it was in a tiny bar, and quite possibly one of the best shows ive been to. (other than all of the skinheads that showed up...)
  5. why do they not plow anything in ohio? back in pennsyltucky if it looks like its going to snow, the plows are out at 4am. i just went out to drive up to a gas station, and people were driving literally 10mph because theres so much snow on the ground. its times like these when im glad my cars are in the garage, and i have my dads accord up at school. wish i had something 4wd though.
  6. thats what neighbors are for. just make sure to give them beer AFTER they move it... especially if you have nice stuff in your house. any company is going to have to charge a lot to make it worth their time to drive out there and all.
  7. crack juice: a 30 rack of light beer a handle of vodka lemonade mix or hot cider: gallon of apple cider handle of spiced rum add in cinnamon sticks and apple slices, heat up... the crack juice will get you legitimately sloshed. its more of a college drink imo, but it still tastes great. the cider gets you equally hammered, but its nicer to just sit around and sip on.
  8. yeah, this sucks. i dont know if columbus gets it as bad as we do up in the northeast, but last night we had freezing rain. couldnt walk anywhere without falling and eating sh!t. im stuck in my tiny dorm room...
  9. this is a lot of reading... so im just going to throw out a quick idea to think about. someone making 1m plus has also invested a lot in order to reach that salary. Im not expecting to make that much... but ive already invested A LOT into my mind. 4 years of college @ 41k/year= 164k, plus all of my expenses. college education is at least 180k for me, and im not even at that great of a school... 4 years of highschool @ 25k/year = 100k 3 years of middleschool @ ~16k/year = 48k just from tuition from middle school on, my parents have invested 330k into my mind. how many people making 50k/year have that much invested into them? this post is not meant to piss anyone off or anything, its just some food for thought.
  10. i think education can be summed up as knowing enough to where you can think about situations independently. basically just think for yourself. education is not where someone tells you facts, its where they teach you to exercise your mind. just a quick thought.
  11. i didnt read the whole article... but i know that the vatican takes the same stance as most of europe when it comes to the US. The last pope was very unhappy with how bush was dealing with stuff. they did not show it here in the states (they showed the pope shaking bush's hand) but in italy, the news showed the pope telling bush to get his sh!t together.
  12. played beer pong with my third mickeys of the night...
  13. great price for one of these dogs! i was trying to buy one over the summer, but ended up buying my truck instead bump for great dogs!
  14. 79% if i hadnt been too busy worrying about how to get rid of the taste of puke in my mouth from last night, i might have done better.
  15. i played the trumpet for a long time. havent played since i left for college though.
  16. its been there. the french have had one of the most intense programs for a long time!
  17. thats a good point. i took the responsibility for my mistakes. but tell me this, would you rather hire someone who walked into a store and tried to steal something, or someone who was driving home from dinner one night, and the people in his car thought it would be funny to hop out and snag a strand of christmas lights off some random bush? all im saying is that you cant see someones character just by looking at a sheet of paper.
  18. ypu can normally find a bunch on craigslist
  19. whatever. just as long as they show penn state games.
  20. background checks suck. i have stuff on my record from a harmless prank last year. because of that, i had a hard time finding a job over the summer... most places didnt give me time to explain that all of the theft charges were from about $12 worth of christmas lights around town. but yeah, no reason to hire a deadbeat.
  21. scrap metal yard- using propane torches to cut up all of the metal, getting burnt all the time. then having to load it all up in the baling machine. etc. all of this in a huge warehouse that gets so hot, and just filled with the nastiest dust. i was coughing up black crap constantly. definitely a dirty job! (hence why it was on the show...) flat roofs- get approximately 60* hotter than ground temperature. so that was about 160* in center city philadelphia. you have to rip up the old roof, getting covered in chemicals that BURN. every night in the shower i felt like i had the worst sunburn. i would have to use a coarse brush to scrape it all off. but then you have to heat all the tar up to 750* and work with it before it cools down. all of this was up on 3 story roofs where you really cant get down all day. no escaping the sun either.
  22. i did. over the summer i worked in a scrap metal yard, and did roofing (flat roofs). both of which have been on that show.
  23. its a local frat at the college of wooster. phi omega sigma
  24. Yeah, the parents are treating so im not worrying about the budget. i know they dont mind spending money on a meal thats worth it. And as far as the beer goes... im bringing them back to a party at my frat that night, so we might be trying to take it easy at dinner, haha. thanks for all the suggestions!
  25. wow. lots of replies, thanks guys! definitely sounds like the consensus is Easton. any good restaurants you would recommend? preferably not italian... we just moved back from italy 3 years ago, so a) ive had more than enough italian food in my life, and b) its just not the same here! maybe a good steakhouse or something? and shopping is definitely in the plans. im planning on having the parents get me winter clothes, winters here are brutal!
