  1. damn. good deal. any idea what it would cost getting this thing fully repaired? (interior, door handles, etc)
  2. i would DEFINITELY not get a HP/compaq... ive gone through 3 of them. all of my friends who have had HPs had the same problems too (with where the power cord attaches, among many other problems) personally, i dont like dells, but for the most part you dont hear about problems with them. after HPs, i got a sony vaio. theyre great computers with AMAZING screen quality. my battery life sucked, but the new ones are better. the fans are fairly loud though. they are also really expensive. so i just went out and bought a new macbook (the black one). the one i got was 1500, but there is one that is a tad over a grand, another thats like 1300, mine, and then the macbook pros which are more expensive. i hated macs before, but i have gotten used to this. built-in camera. apple store (im pretty sure theres one in columbus) where they have a store full of "geniuses" who run workshops, and fix all of your computer woes right there in front of you. very lightweight and thin battery life of more than 4 hours. i can go on and on about how much i love this computer, and everything it has that makes it great. and this means something, seeing as i have despised macs ever since i started using computers back in elementary school, and swore i would never buy one.
  3. ok, i JUST bought this truck. the previous owner had told me it would pass inspection, but it didnt. it passed the carbon monoxide test, but not the hydrocarbon test or the nitrous oxide test. this is probably because of the gutted catalytic converter. It would also need a new gas cap. That said, i just need to get what i have paid for this truck so that i can find something that will pass inspection. i have a camaro that i put all my money into, and my DD simply cant take away from that. otherwise, i would most certainly keep this truck. All that i'm doing is copying over the ad that the previous owner had up (on another board) seeing as i bought it less than a week ago. The bad: -Heater Core needs to be replaced. At the moment, I am bypassing it so it does not leak. Has an electric heater at this moment. -Needs CV joint on driver side up front ($60 part) + easy installation. -Drivers door lock is iffy. You have to play with it. -Tag light is missing. Should still be wired for a light though. Here are the specs/info... Miles on the body: 166k Miles on engine: 75k Drivetrain specs: -'95 5.2L V8 bottom end -Mopar Performance R/T 5.9L V8 top end components -Mopar Performance R/T cam -Mopar Performance R/T heads -True double roller timing chain -K&N FIPK with "functional" '70 Dart Swinger ram air scoops -Underdrive pulleys (not installed - including an alternator with the underdrive pulley) -Nitrous Express Dodge EFI wet kit (Adjustable from 35-250 .. 100 shot injectors in there at the moment), -Screamin' Demon Coil -8mm Accel wires -Accel spark plugs -Accel cap & rotor -46RH (A518) transmission from a '95 Dodge Ram 1500 with 75k miles on it, shifts awesome! -Chrysler 8 1/4 rear with 3.91's and a Suregrip (posi-type) Suspension: -Belltech 3" front and 4" rear lowering kit -KYB gas adjustable (automatic) shocks Misc: -Vortex muffler with turndown (sounds real NICE!) -Extang bed cover -Sylvania Silver Star headlights -GT Grant chrome/black steering wheel -Sir Michaels roll pan -LED "Line Of Fire" light bar -Super White reverse lights -REAR tint (not sure what %) only -American Racing "Neptune" 15x7" polished aluminum rims (they are in need of some TLC) -Yokohama Avid S/T 255/60-R15 rears and 235/60-R15 fronts (Almost brand new up front, decent tread in the back .. not sure but I'd guess 15/32?) -SSBC "Short Stop" Slotted Rotors w/ High Performance Pads -6 foot "short bed" *Stereo system is NOT included* With a 100 shot it puts 307 hp / 390 lb. ft. torque to the ground. It ran a 12.7 @ 108 in the 1/4 on 150 shot, 13.1-13.3 with 100 shot, and 14.1-14.4 N/A. Spray runs on drag radials and N/A was with street tires. Im asking $3,000. I just need to get what I have put into it. 4. trade for a truck?????????? I NEED A BIKE THAT MATCHES MY CAR! (i love it!)
  5. they dont have either of my cars... im kinda curious i seem to remember that the camaro rated wasnt too bad though.
  6. thanks, paul. i think its going to get all sorted out. the guys at the inspection place said they will do their best to pass it if its just small things (tag light is missing) so that i can drive it and get it all fixed up. i just need proof that it passes inspection so i can make sure i can get the tickets resolved. now i can meet up with you ls1 guys and be able to keep up, lol!
  7. yeah, i dropped a bike 3 years ago... i was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, loose shoes with no socks.... and a nice expensive helmet. got terrible road rash on both of my arms, my hip, both of my legs, and both of my feet. but when i stood up, i realized that there was asphalt embedded in the visor of my helmet. now when i see people without helmets, i just cant understand it.
  8. yeah, 80 is the only way without tolls.
  9. see, i dont like 80 because you have to get off the highway to get food. normally i do the whole thing only stopping once for gas... but yeah, on 80 i remember cops were mostly in the median. (i do a steady 85, and ive done it probably 8 times, and i havent had problems yet *knocks on wood*.)
  10. yeah, i am getting it inspected this week. if it doesnt pass, im asking the previous owner for my money back. assuming it does pass though, im going to court with the paperwork saying it did pass inspection, and all of the documents showing that i had bought the truck ~13 hours before i got pulled over. the other thing is that you should have 10 days after buying a car to get it inspected. so 2 of the tickets (for not having valid inspection, or emissions stuff) i can get off easily. the other 2 are for having false information, so i can get off that by explaining it was the previous owner.
  11. if youre driving on the PA turnpike, you shouldnt have problems. i drive it a lot (i live in philly, but go to school in ohio). you will be able to tell where cops would hide. its normally right after the tunnels, or in the median after a hill. i think there were a lot more cops when i drove on rt 80, but you also dont have to pay the $20 toll that you would on the turnpike.
  12. update: took it out this morning for gas, cop followed me in to the gas station, told me he was going to arrest me for the fake inspection stickers.... soooooooooooo i was extremely respectful, and he gave me $500 worth of tickets, its getting fought though. im pissed. the guy i bought it from said it was inspected..
  13. ask and ye shall receive. these are his pictures, i need to get some of my own! http://a796.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/11/l_9c800936a3c775a6bd3e2def59d82b43.jpg http://www.jeeps-offroad.com/reader-rigs/albums/Random-Shots-And-Video-Of-My-Jeep/SV400006_016.sized.jpg http://greatsave9.smugmug.com/photos/157440189-M.jpg
  14. I needed to get something bigger than the camaro so that i could bring stuff back and forth to school (go to school in ohio, but im from philly) and something that i can fit my hockey stuff in... definitely not easy in the camaro. soooooo.... got me a 92 dakota Drivetrain specs: -'95 5.2L V8 bottom end -Mopar Performance R/T 5.9L V8 top end components -Mopar Performance R/T cam -Mopar Performance R/T heads -True double roller timing chain -K&N FIPK with "functional" '70 Dart Swinger ram air scoops -Underdrive pulleys (not installed - including an alternator with the underdrive pulley) -Nitrous Express Dodge EFI wet kit (Adjustable from 35-250 .. 100 shot injectors in there at the moment), -Screamin' Demon Coil -8mm Accel wires -Accel spark plugs -Accel cap & rotor -46RH (A518) transmission from a '95 Dodge Ram 1500 with 75k miles on it, shifts awesome! -Chrysler 8 1/4 rear with 3.91's and a Suregrip (posi-type) Suspension: -Belltech 3" front and 4" rear lowering kit -KYB gas adjustable (automatic) shocks Misc: -Vortex muffler with turndown (sounds real NICE!) -Extang bed cover -Sylvania Silver Star headlights -GT Grant chrome/black steering wheel -Sir Michaels roll pan -LED "Line Of Fire" light bar -Super White reverse lights -REAR tint (not sure what %) only -American Racing "Neptune" 15x7" polished aluminum rims (they are in need of some TLC) -Yokohama Avid S/T 255/60-R15 rears and 235/60-R15 fronts (Almost brand new up front, decent tread in the back .. not sure but I'd guess 15/32?) -SSBC "Short Stop" Slotted Rotors w/ High Performance Pads -6 foot "short bed" i just picked it up a few hours ago, so i havent had a chance to detail it and get it out to take some pictures of the two cars together. the previous owner has a bunch of pictures, so i'll get a few up in a min.

    Camaro Wing

    bump for mr. dane
  16. yeah, i got a bunch of this crap at college. the paint peeled off where i had posters hanging up (tape ruined the paint) and there was no doorstop, so everytime the door opened it hit a corner of the wall and dented it badly. my friend got charged $60 for random touchup paint, so i got a $4 tub of spackle and did it myself!
  17. my PO normally just wanted to talk about politics or something... and never actually did anything law-related... but i agree that the next step is lawyer, haha.
  18. just an idea. i got a "fon" wireless router for free. there is some catch, like it always has to be on or something... but apparently its easy to undo if you know what youre doing. just google it and see if theyre still doing it.
  19. yeah, its really easy to just get a european sim card. i have all of my old phones from italy though.
  20. im going to try to make it out, just have to make sure that i dont have any exams on that day. anyone know where to get a nitrous bottle filled up in the northeast?
  21. thanks, guys. this is my first year doing it. i actually am not donating directly to the ACS. one of the prominent members of one of the fbody sites im on was just diagnosed with cancer, so i sent him some money to help with the medical costs. but im doing relay for life because its just me giving my time to get other donations. nice to hear that other people donate to various causes!
