  1. thanks bro. as i said, donating honestly isnt the only way to help. relay for life is done by so many people, so its great if people even just know about it, because it IS going to come up in the future.
  2. I know i dont have a lot of posts on here, but i figured i would see if anyone who has done it in the past wants to donate, or if any new people want to do it for the first time. I signed up to participate in Relay for Life this year. what I'm going to be doing is walking around a track all night (this coming friday i think) raising money to fight cancer. what other people can do is donate. basically, i registered with the foundation, and people can donate through me. the donation goes straight to the foundation, it has very little to do with me. im just the one sending out the link. any donation helps, you dont have to give a large amount. Thanks to everyone, even for just reading this and thinking about it. Here is the link if you want to donate. https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=211781&lis=1&kntae211781=88F6B53F8EEC473CA622CA2EB0A7F8EF&supId=171537186 here is the relay for life site. http://www.relayforlife.com/docroot/home/index.asp im happy to answer any questions about this. thanks guys, steve
  3. bump for you. this is what im going to be looking for this summer, but no cash yet. so good luck!
  4. damn, lol. i ended up selling them both for 100. theyre normally about 150/sub. i think that circuit city had them on sale for ~100 though. check on the website!
  5. haha, yeah i seem to enjoy that kind of work too. it just requires no thought, basically a meat head job. i just had my mom talk to her friends to see if anyone knew of a landscaping or construction company that needed summer help. your best bet is to try to find someone that you know, but you could look through the yellow pages and make some calls!
  6. im in the same position as you are. only things im really trying to do in the future, i cant get a job being so young (international security/languages) last summer i was bored and wanted some cash, so i got a job at an exxon garage... all i had to do was pump gas once or twice per day, do a few oil changes here and there, drive cars around, and fix flat tires. it didnt pay well, but it was fun. im just working construction this summer, pays well and i get to be outside.
  7. sell your 1 sub, and buy my 2 12"s!!!!! (you dont have to, just an idea...)
  8. brand new, never mounted. $70 can get pics if theyre wanted
  9. box is gone. make offer on the subs.
  10. depends what youre willing to pay. i have a kenwood kvt 815 ive debated selling, but only if i get enough to really make it worth it, ya know? here is one on a v6 fbody site. its a Blaupunkt IVDM-7002 guy wants 550 shipped. http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread.php?t=77936 let me know if you want me to post anything on that thread, if you have questions or anything.
  11. this is kind of random, but i lost the remote to my kenwood in-dash dvd player. i cant watch dvd's without it... but online they go for $40+shipping, which i dont want to pay. does anyone have one, or know where i can get one?
  12. just out of curiosity, can someone who owns a company tell me what they would pay a summer worker? im trying to get a job doing some landscaping, and just trying to figure out how much $ to expect. (pm me if you want... or whatever)
  13. i worked in a factory one summer... best time of my life. i had just moved to philly and didnt know anyone except one guy and his brother, they both worked at this place and got me a job. i worked 12 hour days, $8 an hour under the table. all i did was sit around and drink beers. every once in a while i would have to unload a truck or wrap up some boxes. then they let me help out their maintenance guy, and i did plumbing for a week or two. we re-routed all of the pipe lines that were used to carry wax for making candles. that summer i made so much $, and i was jacked from doing so much small lifting, but EVERY day. i also worked at an exxon garage. it was fun because it was a bunch of guys my age. we just sat around smoking, every once in a while pump some gas, do an oil change here and there, and fix a few flat tires. didnt get paid well, but it was fun.
  14. if you have any questions, feel free to ask. i lived in europe for 13 years (england and italy) so should be able to help you out. amsterdam... if youre into that, go there!!! it will quite possibly be the craziest experience of your life. if you want to have fun, but see more of europe, here is what i would recommend. fly into rome. stay there for a few days at least. there is an amazing nightlife, and so much to see. lots of great bars. from there, take the train (i think its like $40-50) up to milan. stay there for a day or two. theres some nice stuff to see, but not as much as rome. from there, either fly to england, or go through spain if you have time. spain is a lot of fun also. its more of a classy nightlife imo. go to a late dinner, then walk around and find nice clubs/bars. you can sae money by not renting a car. if youre staying in cities, you wouldnt want a car anyways. public transportation is more than adequate. in england you might want to though... just dont forget to stay on the left side.
  15. they make hayabusas in SOM. theyre really sick. some guy normally has one at atco (NJ)
  16. that mgd sign is pimp. definitely picking it up if i come across some cash!
  17. i love CS. i used to play all the time when i went to a laptop school. i dont have it on my computer here, but i'll definitely start playing again when i get it. (anyone know where i can get a cd key?)
  18. i have 100lbs of sand in my hatch, and still slip and slide. you can only control it to a certain extent. theres no excuse for not being able to deal with it in an SUV though!
  19. lol, i resent that! talking just about liberal arts majors, or liberal arts schools in general? being an international relations major, i could probably go into the army and make a good amount of money also. just have to wait for my parents to finish paying for my college, because i sure as hell know they wouldnt pay if i went into the army (damn liberals) my school doesnt offer ROTC either.ghey. what classes are you trying to take at OSU? would it be easier to take them at a CC of some sort? i feel like they would be able to help you more, they probably have more part time students than OSU.
  20. if you give me 225, i'll deliver them to you. it would take a little while though, i am going back to philly this friday, im there for 2 weeks (spring break) and then i'll bring the subs back with me. so if you dont want to pay for shipping, you can get them for 225 in 3 weeks. edit: thats for the whole thing. im not really looking to part it out right now unless youre willing to pay like 200, just because i dont know what i could get for the box by itself.
  21. when i had just outgrown my burton custom, i went snowboarding in the summer on a glacier in france. i had a guy who was on the italian national team, and volkl's (the company) snowboarding team as my guide. he let me borrow one of his prototype boards which had INSANE flex, and the whole top of it was grip material like on skateboards. it was a sick board, but i havent been able to find it for sale anywhere. street pilot- where in colorado have you been?
