  1. was tough not too. Can't wait to see you running next year.
  2. I know and you can't say Mark told me as I knew the second I heard about it. It was the only logical step imho. Glad you are ok, and a lot of the expensive parts are salvageable. You'll be flying next year I'm sure.
  3. I think we are certainly better off that this guy was killed. The problem is that the policy walks a very fine line of constitutional rights. Was this guy a terrorist? Probably, he certainly talked the talk and helped with violent acts againtst the United States (Ft. Hood). The issue here is where is the line drawn? Are we only going to assassinate people that we 100% know helped in an attack against the United States? Or is it enough that someone speaks bad about the country and calls for an uprising? What if we think someone is supporting a terrorist organization? Where is the line? We also know that Obama's policy is not to capture terrorists, it's to simply kill them. I'm fine with this. Do I think it could potentially hurt long term intelligence? Yes, but it's a position and that's fine. So I guess the next time we think someone is a terrorist and we don't have enough information or think our case may not be strong enough to convict, we can simply wait for them to leave the country and take them out. Like the justice system or hate it. Look at Casey Anthony. A large majority of americans feel she killed her kid. Lets change the scenerio to a terrorist act. She could have been assissinated when a court couldn't even find her guilty. At the end of the day, the guy was an american citizen. If we have video evidence that he renounced his citizenship, then he's fair game(and I can probably assume he did do this). Either way it's a fine line, and where does it stop? Democrats continually call Republicans bad names, one even went as far as to call one a Terrorist. With no checks and balances, what's to honestly stop a president from taking that next step? I know it's stretching, but is it really that far fetched? History does have a habbit of repeating itself.
  4. They play every song every two minutes on siriusXM. I don't know what's worse, hearing the same 20 songs that all sound the same anyway or going to the news channels and hearing 5 minutes of commercials for every 3 minutes of actual talk radio. That and every commercial being about how I'm screwing my life up by not buying gold. It's gotten so bad, I've just turned the radio off and listened to silence several times.
  5. Vances has a Bushmaster with a matched barrel and some other stuff, but just seems a little pricey at $2300 for what your getting. I looked at it and just couldn't pull the trigger. I also like the Wilson Combat AR15 they had. The big issue with that one, was that it had been there for so long the finish on the side of the gun that touches the wall is all scratched up. May not be a big deal for some, but if I'm spending 2k on a new gun, I expect it to look the part.
  6. I'm thinking about picking up my first AR15 as well. I'm thinking about a Knights Armament SR-15. My only real concern is proprietary parts. Not sure if I should even really be concerned with that, but was a comment I read when doing my research. http://www.knightarmco.com/sr15.html
  7. This one show I watched said that there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on earth. Once you wrap your head around that it would be crazy to think there isn't life of some type on other planets. Will we know for sure in our life times? Probably not. Even if we successfuly sent a signal to a planet that that happened to have intelligent life that was equal to or greater than our own, they would have to know what frequency or what type of signal was sent for them to even know that they were getting a signal at all. When we listen for signals out in space, we are able to scan for like .01% of possible signals. Then that is pending, they even care enough to 'listen' for other life. I really think our understanding of space and physics are not even scratching the surface of what needs to be known to answer these questions. Afterall, what have we accomplished in regards to the above in the last 50 years? We moved a telesope into space so we get better quality images and created a bunch of 'theories' that says if a star wobbles a certain way, it might have a planet orbiting it. That's really not earth shattering imho. I don't have to have a billion dollar satallite tell me that of the trillions and trillions of stars out there, that they have planets simular to the ones we have. I still watch all the shows discussing this stuff as I do find it interesting, but in our life times, we wont even be able to get a picture of any planet not in our solar system.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH8jEa2r_Q8&feature=player_embedded#! at 1:24, they probably scare the shit out of the person in the car that they passed. Fun to watch the races, hard to believe I use to do that. crazy.
  9. Noticed your in Blacklick - Probably the same guy..
  10. When I got my license, I had a friend that knows a local police officer that does this on the side. He said all I'd have to do is show up and fill out the paperwork and pay him the $250. It's what he did. So this doesn't suprise me at all. I told him I'd pass and had a private instructor come to the house for the wife and me.
  11. 7th graders know what it is sure. I sure as hell did. But, that line of questioning is unacceptable. At best, they should have at the bare minimum allowed the parents to say no. Not a 'opt out' either, more like an opt in. "Yes I want my kid to take a survey on what kind of sex they like most in the 7th grade." imho, the line of questioning if coverd in a movie would have been R rating at best, and these kids are 13-14. Should have been much less descriptive.
  12. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/06/15/school-surveys-7th-graders-on-oral-sex/ I would absolutely freak out....
  13. It's the same with school levy's. Keep putting it on every 6 months. Now they've figured out to put it on the lowest possible turn out elections. This way a higher percentage of the people that want it to pass will go out to specificially vote yes.
  14. I'll only go if they have Baccarat tables, which I'm doubting. If they do I'm sure I'll probably donate some.
  15. Their page is up, and are you kidding me with the first image? It looks like a 12 year old drew it. http://www.hollywoodcasinocolumbus.com/ Looks like a Denny's.
  16. +1 It was a stupid mistake that they made and it sucks that a momentary lapse in judgement will send them to jail for 5 years, but that lack of judgement ended another persons life. Bet they wont do it again. Worst part is, they will probably come out of Jail worse than what they were going in.
  17. You'd have to go check it out. My F150 had 4 cup holders, bigger center console, had a ledge on the dash for placing items, another ledge on the dash, further up, had several smaller compartments for putting items for easy reach. Then had a compartment to the right of the console that you could put papers etc.. in. and a simple enclosed sunglass compartment up top. In the back seat it had a very small compartment, but was just big enough for a small bag of misc tools. All those little compartments come in very handy. I'd often place my phone and wallet on the top one, while driving if I was going to be in the truck all day. Got the crap out of my pockets. Plus if my coffee or something spilled, it wouldn't spill all over my phone because it was no where near it. My chevy doesn't have a upper glove compartment, just a lower. If I would have opted for the LT(which I wish I would have), I would have gotten one. The interior on my ford was also superior to my LTZ. Of course, apples to apples, I'm sure the denali GMC 2500hd would be more comparable looks wise to the Platinum F150. Don't get me wrong, I like my Chevy. I'm just saying there are a lot of things that made me like the Ford a lot more. Easy access storage is the biggest. http://image.trucktrend.com/f/24442259/163_0907_08z+2010_ford_f150+platinum_interior_view.jpg
  18. If I didn't need the ability to put the rear transfer case into neutral, I wouldn't own a GM Truck. Putting towing and payload abilities aside, because both trucks are basically equal. The Ford excels nearly every where else imho. Comparing my 2010 F-150 Platinum to my 2011 Silverado HD Diesel. Interior storage compartments are non existant in my Chevy. Where in the Ford, there are places everywhere to put stuff. Makes it really nice when traveling or doing a lot of things out of your truck. For work truck duties, the Ford just really fit the bill. And I like the man step. I'm sorry but it's just a hell of a lot easier getting in the truck bed with it. Styling is always arguable, but unless your getting a GMC, the Chevy is just a little boring for me. The paint on my Ford still looked new after 30k miles, where my Silverado was all swirly after only 3000 miles. Both trucks were black. While I can't comment on Ford service because my truck was never in the shop even once... I can say GM Service sucks(at least the dealer I've been going too) Took like 3 trips for them to get my alignment right, and it still pulls left. Took two trips to get my truck to ride level(right side sat higher than left), there is currently a recall on it, and for the second time, I have a Tire Sensor error. That's a lot of BS for a truck with 10k miles. When questioning why they can't get it to drive straight, the response is "they all do that". The tire shake at 80mph is an added bonus and so is the fact the front bumper on the HD's doesn't fit properly. When I had a Towbar put on the front of my truck, they couldn't get it to fit without sending my truck to the body shop to have the bumper aligned properly. I'd like to see all the big trucks get bigger rear cabs. My F150's rear seating was amazing. But the F250 and all the gm big trucks have very little room in the back for passengers. Well that's my take on Ford vs Chevy.
  19. Gahanna cops are the worst. I absolutely hate going through there. The most disrespectful police force around. I got pulled over in my 06 convertible corvette a few years back. I had just turned onto hamilton and got on the throttle a little. Mind you, I didn't floor it, didn't squeal the tires, never went above the speed limit... Car was stock with no aftermarket exhaust. So lady pulls me over, and is just giving me the third degree, over the top yelling at me, asking me who's car it was, wouldn't let me get a word in. She finally lets me give her my license and registration, she heads back to the cruiser.. Comes back and then is the nicest cop you'd ever meet. Saying "nice car, I only pulled you over because you got on it back there and a car sitting next to me looked at me like are you going to get him" and proceeds to just talk to me for a couple minutes then lets me go with no ticket. Was the craziest traffic stop ever. I've got a few more stories about Gahanna cops, but it's a little OT. I feel for the guy in the car, sometimes the police are just so agressive, it gets you flustered and you don't know what to do...
  20. We played Everquest for about 5 years before we switched to WOW, and wow really wasn't as enjoyable as EQ. I personally hated the 100 buttons you had to push in your fight sequences, then add to that having to move all over the place during a fight. Was just annoying and people always failed at it. And the game was too easy. I went from level 1 to the number 1 Hunter on the server in 3 months. Took me years to accomplish the same thing in EQ. Then add to that there was really no end game content. Unless you were raiding there was nothing to do in the game. Like in EQ, you could do AA's for additional abilities(basically a time sink, but you could always be improving your character) Then on top of all of that, there was never a need to group in wow. you could do everything by yourself, so you never really get to know other people, or group with the same people. All in all, just wasn't for me. When Cata came out, it was more of the same, with additional movement on literally every single boss encounter. Just hated it.
  21. AtomicFusion and I both played, but stoped becuase we hated the new expansion. I have a 85 DK and Hunter, and Mark has 85 DK, Paly, and 80 Hunter
  22. The only thing I could think would be to put a extending gate that goes out 4' to catch anybody/anything that were to happen to fall over the rail. It wouldn't ruin the view, and would work fine to catch someone.
  23. Are you kidding me? How disrespectful can you be? He went for a foul ball and lost his ballance, that's far from being an idiot. Had he of lost his balance one row further back he'd still be alive. How many times have you made a mistake, that if the circumstances were even slightly different, you would have died. Does that make you an idiot? no. At the end of the day, we are all fortunate to be here, and things like this should just be a reminder to always be aware of your surroundings. A momentary lack of judgement, certainly doesn't make someone an idiot.
