I personally think a 30 over car on a completely stock car is stock. If there are no major compression changes etc... that 30 over is worth maybe 5-10hp. Makes it a drivers race at that point. The 30 over came from the need to rebuild the stock piece, not for the extra power. Just my .02 cents on it.

Wait wait... I think I got it. So basically we are going to have a King of CR for the fastest Car/Truck on Columbus Racing that isn't Mark or myself. I understand now, Should have put that in the original rules. For the record I could really give a shit about being the fastest on CR. IMHO Jamie owns that title and I don't see anybody here coming close to beating that anytime soon? And if your talking true street car, which is it's own conversation in itself, then Mark and I have it. But who cares? If we're going to have a CR competition, have classes so everybody in their respective category's have a chance. We can also have a King of CR Trucks only. Rules are the truck must be bone stock and a Ford with 4 doors. Lets do it! I'm ready!

Ok... Here are the rules. 1. Car can't have more then 250hp stock 2. Can't have more then one modification, and that modification can't cost more than $100 new. 3. Paint can't have faded more then 10% off of original color 4. Car also can not be newer than a 2004 model year 5. If the car has rear seats, rear seat belts must be operational 6. If car comes with a spare tire, spare tire must have exactly 36.4 #'s of air pressure 7. All valve stem caps must be on, EXCEPT passenger side front. 8. Windows must be able to roll down(either manually or with power) but if rolled down after tech, they must stay down for the entire day(even if it's raining) a. Window Tint IS allowed..... But only if it's bubbled and/or turning purple 9. Dial in must match the color of the car, Except for cars that are White, Yellow or Orange... They must use Red Nail Polish. That covers it. I mean seriously, your either the king of CR or your not... Or do it with different classes.

you could probably get close to 50mpg out of an LS motor. What does a stock LS1 get in RX7? I also think the later LS2's and 3's get better gas milage too.

That guy and his wife work for General Motors and he isn't driving production cars. Production cars didn't start being built until March 16th, technically speaking. There are rumors that a few dealers in the US have V6 cars, but I've also heard they aren't production units yet. There were probably 500 built cars before true production started that were all V6 models. I guess GM is trying to get every Chevy dealer in the US a V6 car before a May 6th event. They are telling the dealers not to sell the cars, but can't force them not to. I actually fully anticipate 4 or 5 V6 cars coming to columbus the same time my car comes, which would technically make it not the first, but would be the frist V8 at least. Hard to say. Nobody really knows what's going on yet.

100%, If you've seen one, it was a test car. On Camaro 5, you can get a list of all the VIN's for all the Camaro's built so far, and Maxton is the only one that has had a car built. That's how I found this car, saw the list and called them to see if it was available, and it was! There are two people that have taken delievery on cars #1 and 2. Dealer named Hendrix and I guess Jay Leno. Other then that no other cars have been shipped.

Mine will probably be for sale. I have no use for um. The crazy part is the stock tire diameter is 28.6"'s. That's absolutely crazy. Borderline size of truck wheels/tires. Really limits my options on skinnies that wont look dumb as shit up front. Have to have something that will fill the wheel wells.

Mine has the L99 A6, so I wouldn't expect anything better then 13.2-13.3s @107 Mad skills! seriously though, someone just canceled their order. You are probably correct, they can probably tow just about anything. I guess it's better then a Ford which can't even tow itself. I kid I kid... I have a F-150 so can't crack too much on a ford.

I'm sure some dealers are, but I'm getting mine for sticker and there are dealers on camaro5.com that you can order from right now at $500 over invoice. I almost got them to take supplier for mine, but since it's the first one, they know they can get sticker for it, and I tend to agree and didn't want to chance it.

Negative. Moon room instead. Which after seeing it in person, I like better. I personally HATED my t tops in all my 4th gens. I never took them out. A moon roof you can atleast open with a switch.

It's more then just being the first in the city. I'm trying to be the first one in the 8's and to do that, I need one of the first cars. Waiting 2-3 months for the 'exact' car to be built would eliminate a lot of the summer when you calculate build time etc.. So yes, I can deal with the options and interior colors to have the car sooner. Being the first in the city is a neat little added bonus.

They are both actually the same car, just different cameras. They havn't had the orange ones out and about as much.

Got lucky last week and was able to get my hands on this car, should be here the end of this week to early next week!!! Here are some pics of what it should look like. Only real difference is Polished rims vs those. By getting a car I didn't order, I'm getting stuck with a Sunroof and grey leather(which means grey carpet and headliner) and I perfer black. But to get the very first Camaro in the city, I can deal with that. Now gives me something to go to the CR Track day with! Shouldn't be too fast by then. Decided on Yellow with Black stripes. And for all the people that don't like it. You can not like it as I'm flying past your ass on the freeway and/or drag strip.....

I'm about 99% sure I'm going to order one tomorrow. Just can't decide if I want Yellow with Black Stripes, Red with Black Stripes or Red with White Stripes..... I wish I could see them in person first. To me the yellow looks a little dull, so I'm leaning towards Red. Black stripes were my first choice, but saw a pic of one with white stripes and it looked really good. More contrast.

Maybe because there is something fishy with this whole deal. Maybe it's me, but I have a hard time seeing a 900rwhp car running a 8.8 @ 154 his first time out... WITH a 1.32 60'. You all see how the car comes out, and does it look anything close to what Jamies Supra or any other car that gets 1.2's and 1.3's?

Oh, I plan on busting the shit out of this guys time and so does Mark. We are currently working with IPS to convert the cars to 4L80's which will help a ton in regards to our ET's because of gearing, 8 point cages to make us legal, and maybe some new turbo's to increase power. Fact is this guy only has a max of 900rwhp on his setup and with the same 4L80 we'll be making 1000-1200rwhp depending on what we do on Turbo's. We don't need more power to beat him, just plant what we already have. Other thing to remember about our times last year, they were also done with "pump" gas(100 octane). 100% full street trim, meaning huge 18" front and rear tires. My front tires alone weigh in at 60#'s each. We can shave 70#'s in front end weight with skinnies alone. Couple goals I have this year. 1. Get kicked out for running faster then 8.50 2. Prove Coltboostin wrong that my car will trap higher then 160 (did 159.16 last year) 3. Drive to the track from my house run an 8 and drive home 4. Hook at Marion! While this guy running a 8.8 is impressive and I'm not taking anything away from it, him being first is only temporary. IPS knows there shit and is taking good care of both cars as we speak. We're hoping they'll be completely ready to go May 1st!
