They were open. Was hardly nobody there could hot lap your cars if you wanted to. I had a blast. Only downside, they were only running one lane at a time, but you could still get a pass in every 15-20 minutes if you really wanted to. First time taking this car and I think I did alright overall. Best pass was 11.20@129.8 mph w/ a 2.05 60'. Couldn't get my 60's out of the 2.0's with street tires. The one freakin pass I got a 1.85 I missed 3rd. They gave me a ton of shit about running that fast, but it was funny because the guy mentioned my 1.85 60' pass and said he told the tower "This ought to be a good one" Looks like I'm gonna have to mark trails off the list of places to race. Back to Marion I guess. Just hate the drive all the way up there. Need to just get a trailer I guess. Jason

You know actually, I'm really disappointed in my supercharger overall. Going into it, I really never knew the difference between a supercharger, turbo, or NA horsepower numbers. They should make the blue devil a Turbo car!! That would be insane. Oh and MPH on the above. I'd say the blue devil only traps 3-4 mph more then the Z06, depending how much they lighten it of course.

This will be a good post for me to jump into. Well first, mine is certainly a Woodhouse car with their Paxton Unit installed. I raced mark in his stock C6 Z06 and while I pulled fairly decent, it wasn't an easy race at all. He got a slight jump on me one race and all i did was stay w/ him. The other times I pulled decent, but nothing crazy. The problem with the stock paxton units is the intercoolers are way too small and if you look at my dyno graphs I posted before, I'm getting a lot of belt slip. Both problems, I hope to have fixed in the next couple weeks. As far as the 08 Vipers go, only reason I didnt buy one is because it's the first year with all those changes to the motor, and I heard a completely new body style is due out in 2010. Stupid to wait for an 09 when a new one comes out in 2010 or 2011. That and besides the additional HP, the only change is the hood. Plus getting 15k off sticker vs. paying sticker was much more attractive. As far as the blue devil, rumor now puts the HP more around 600 instead of 650 like we've been hearing for so long. Keep in mind this is Supercharged HP, it's completely different then NA HP. Just like what was mentioned up top, I dyno'd at 666rwhp and barely pulled on a stock C6 Z06(granted I did have some issues). When he does his cam/headers tune, he'll still dyno 100 less rwhp then me, but I don't think I'll be able to beat him with my current set up. Same goes for the Blue Devil, except they are pulling displacement and making the motor itself have less hp and then boosting it with a roots type supercharger(better for drag racing and easier install for a factory car). I bet the cars only run .5 tenths faster then the current Z06, if that. New Viper, I bet mags get 11.5-11.7's. Mag's will get the Blue Devil at about a 11.2-11.5. (Excluding type specific mags like GMHTP) So much info about both of these cars out there. Can't wait for them to hit the streets. Real question is, how long till someone says enough is enough and car's don't need to be made with 1,000 Horsepower? Back in 93 when the Z28 came out running 14.3's people were amazed at how fast the cars were. Today, only 14 years later, you have full size Escalades running 14.5's. Diesel trucks running 11's, and just about any family car runs atleast 13's. Jason

So, I want to buy a trailer for the car so I can take it to more events with out having to drive it everywhere. What can I do with it when I'm not using it? I can't store it at my house because of a home owners association. Not allowed to be in my driveway for longer then like 24 hours or something like that. Any ideas? And if it's with a company, how much will it cost a month to have them store it while not in use? Thanks! Jason

Why yes I was! Today was a bad driving day though. Roads were a little too cold all day and I couldn't plant the power. Roads have to be mid 70's and I think it does a little better. Jason

If I had a trailer, I'd just head down to Edgewater on Friday. One of my favorite tracks in Ohio. I really don't care for NTRW all that much and I think I will probably pass on going opening day if it's even half as bad as people make it out to be.

Yeah, I really don't know much about superchargers etc.. This is my first boosted car. All my previous ones have been NA w/ a lot of nitrous. So I don't know if there is a bypass or not. I have a call into a tuner down in Florida who has done a lot of paxton installs to see what I can do to fix it. Jason

no idea, the only thing we can think is belt slip. There isn't much room in the engine compartment for a larger/wider belt. The only real fix that I'm aware of right now is a tighter tensioner. If I can get that boost fixed, I'm sure it will do wonders for the torque curve and speed the car up overall. No way to get it fixed before April 1st's NTRW opening

So far all I have is a Paxton Supercharger and Corsa Exhaust. I'll probably be doing some headers and high flow cats later in the year.

Business partner and I got bored at work on Monday and gave Brandon a call about putting the Viper on their new Dyno. Previous record was 490 and I just inched it out. SRT-10 Dyno Pull Video I was getting some pretty serious belt slip that I'm going to have to get fixed, then will have to put her back on! Here is a better graph, even though the HP wasn't quite as high. yeah the dot matrix is almost impossible and I really had no complaint about that. My complaint on the Vett was being able to see the seam all the way across the back glass, and the spot where the tint was folded and had air and a ton of bubbles around it. He really did a poor job. I'll have to take the Viper to Quality. I want to get 35% on the sides and 20 on the back.

First let me say that my business partner and myself have had a ton cars tinted by www.mrtint.com in the past and overall the quality was fairly decent. The car's he did for us were an 05 Vett, 05 Escalade, 2 06 Hummers and a 05 GMC truck. Back in 05 I took my 05 Corvette to him to have the windows tinted. He did good on the sides but absolutely horrible on the back glass. You could see air bubbles in a few places, creases, etc and the Dot Matrix was horrible (pretty standard w/ almost all tint places. I asked him about the back window, and he didn't want to redo it. Said he already wasted 1 piece of film on it, becuase they didn't get it right. Needless to say Ripped off once. Late last year I took my wifes Brand New H2 in to have the side windows done. Let me start by saying, after all the previous installs Mr. Tint has performed for me he took me out to the car looked over it with me and then brought me back into the shop to pay. When I pick up the Hummer, he doesn't do this. I figure it's because I've been there so much, he knows I already know the drill. Well I get in the car, pull onto 104 and BAM, I see a Silver Dollar size rock chip in the windshield. I call Mr. Tint on my Cell Phone to ask him what is wrong with my windshield. He immediately gets defensive saying there wasn't anything wrong with the windshield while he had it. I'm like dude, I just pulled off your lot. He asks me to describe it to him and I did. I told him it looked like someone threw a rock at the windshield because of the size of the chip. He starts saying "What are you saying, I threw a rock at your truck" I'm like no, I'm saying I droped the truck off this morning and it was perfect. I pick it up and there is a hole in my windshield. I'm telling him the car has 300 miles on it and is brand new. Long story short, he didn't want to take any responsibilty for the windshield. Said I could come back tomorrow and show it to him. But I could tell by the way he was acting, he wasn't going to fix it. It just really made me mad, all he had to do is claim it on his insruance and fix it, or give me $100 to have it fixed through my insurance. It was absolutely crazy how defensive he was about it. I personally think he drove it to lunch or something, or some punk kid did it while it was on his lot. Regardless, I droped the truck off to him in perfect condition and expected the truck back in perfect condition. Do not do business with Mr. Tint, he will rip you off. He couldn't even manage to get my business partners windows in his Hummer hooked back up correctly when he did it. (this was prior to my H2 problem) I will never do business with Mr. Tint again and wanted to post this so I can prevent as many other people from dealing with him. Jason

I really never had problems in the past. Ran 11.19's constantly with no cage when the rule was 11.99. However last year in Convertible I was only running 12.7's. Some ass in an old beat up pinto complained that we didn't have cages to the tower, and they booted us.

Gahanna cops are rough. Everytime I've ever been pulled over in Gahanna I've gotten a ticket, except 2 months ago. Was in my 06 Yellow Convertible Vett. Turned onto Hamilton (going towards 270) from Clark State Street. The first light was red and I slowed down, got to about 5mph and the light turned green, so I floored it and let off the gas around 28mph or so and momentum got me up to about 35. Dumbass me, didn't pay attention to what was around, and there was a cop at one of the stores to the right. So she pulls me over, and is just the biggest bitch of all time to me. Just bitching me out. I'm telling her I didn't feel I did anything wrong(knowing I'm sure I broke some law, and was just hoping it wasn't wreckless op). She's telling me I was tearing through town, squeeling my tires, and so on. I'm like I didn't speed, my tires made no noise, I gave it some gas, but wasn't trying to cause a scene.(Now I'm thinking about having to call my attorney, and wondering if the crusier tape is going to hurt or help me) She asks me if it's my car, and again I mess up and tell her yes in a smart ass way. I was just frustrated. After 5 minutes of her yelling at me, I'm like damn, give me my ticket. Whole time I'm trying to find my registration, who knows where it was. Finally I find everything and hand it to her. She looks at it, see's it's my car, and then like a switch she turns into the nicest cop to have ever pulled me over. She told me, I floored it right past her and people looked over at her like, well you going to pull him over? So she had to pull me over. She complemented the car, said it's a beautiful car, I need to drive it slow, so more people can enjoy it. I told her I was sorry for causing a scene, and she tells me not to appoligize. It was just really odd. In the end, I'm sure she thought the car was either stolen or some kid borrowing daddy's toy. She found out it was neither and just someone enjoying the nice night and she let me off. I knew better and I was in the wrong. Gahanna is no joke though! I must say in the end she was the nicest cop to ever pull me over. Jason
