  1. I'm hoping to run more MPH in the 1/8th then any other car in the 1/4 Have no idea what to expect though, in both traction and MPH.
  2. Both have their pros and cons. I've never used the MT Drag Radials, but comparing a BFG to a ET Street will give you close to the same comparison. BFG's will drive around MUCH better for a daily driver and handle MUCH better in turns and slightly better in the rain. Hard to say if your traction is going to suffer because it depends how fast your car currently is. If you can launch the same on the MT Drag Radials as you currently do on your ET Streets, then you will probably run a little quicker w/ the drag radials because of the stiffer sidewall not robbing power. I daily drove ET Streets for a few summers and never put a hole in my tires. So I think whatever your going to do to put a hole in your ET Street, you'll probably do the same to the Drag Radial. Back to traction.. If you are fast enough that you will have to be more carefull with the drag radials on the launch, then you'll not only lose time, more importantly you'll lose consistancy. I put well over 100 1/4 passes on my Z last year. 70% were on drag radials and 30% were on street tires. My average 60' on street tires were .01 faster, however I perfered to run the drag radials, because they were more consistant. I think you'd end up with the same conclusion. If your happy with the ET Streets, I'd recommend you continue to run those keep an eye on the weather. I know how bad they are in the rain though. I've had a few 10mph drives home from trails before and a nice 70mph spin out on 315 because it started pooring and I forgot I had the tires on.
  3. I would put it on before. It's really going to have no effect on your tune either way, but it's nice to tune your car with all the mods complete.

    7sec.

What rwhp do you think that thing has? That is moving out! Here is the Supra 6 Speed record video
  5. As if a Stock Z06 vs Stock GT500 was any more of a fair race lol. Was simply telling him to come to the track rental... lol
  6. Or bring it to the Columbus Racing track day, so we can show you what a small block can do.
  7. Welcome! Bring that GT500 to the track rental so I can show you some Z06 tail lights!
  8. http://www.reefcentral.com go to the local clubs at the bottom and go to Central Ohio Reef Association. You can get everything you want in your tank as well. Will save you $1,000+ vs. starting from scratch.
  9. You'd almost be better off waiting until late spring/early summer when it's not raining as often. You need to get the soil down, leveled and packed down. Then put sod down. The sod is going to cost you a ton, but if you put it down yourself, you'll save quite a bit. Now would also be the time to add a few trees, if you so desire.
  10. LOL, that 13 second pass was BAD. Look for the 1-2 shift, car started going sideways. I wore Mark the fuck out that one run though!!
  11. I remember that day, my clutch was slipping really bad and it was COLD as shit outside and couldn't get traction for anything. The only reason I took the Viper was because the Vett was in the shop.
  12. yes it is. The one with the T3/T4's we were talking about today.
  13. How would those Red stripes on the side look on yellow? I have liked that style stripe since the Grandsport!
  14. 2008 is going to be a bad year for the hangouts.
  15. I've been building cars since I was 18 and don't regret it at all. The way I see it, I only live once and I'm going to make the most of it. Do what you enjoy. I will also say the hobby helped give me the drive that I have today and helped to become who I am. Cars were my addiction and I did everything I could to get the best car and the best performance part(s) I could afford.
  16. Posted about this car, and they were using 17-18psi to get the 900/900 fwiw.
  17. 427ci LS7, 8.5:1, 91 octane I also think I read on another one of the posts, they used meth. Here is more info on the car http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1966966 That's partly the reason the car makes a little less down low, looking at the dyno graphs, the LS7 I know is good till 7k rpms, and the SC car looks like it's good to 6500. He says he makes 707rwhp @ 10#'s. I'm hoping to make 750rwhp @ 7#'s
  18. 900/900 Twin Turbo Dyno http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/c6_z06_02.jpg 900/900 Supercharger http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p150/eb02z06/F1Adyno900rwhp-1.jpg They both make close to the same peak numbers and the supercharger even makes more down low. But look at the flat torque curve on the turbo. Turbo is at 14.5psi, not sure what the procharger is at?
  19. Oh the age old question Turbo or Supercharger. Turbo's make more power with less boost, on big displacement motors they also make boost sooner which means they make MUCH more HP and Torque over the entire RPM band. Before I decided on going with the APS TT, I was going to go with a F1 system, and after looking into it, it doesn't cost any more to do twin turbos. Then on top of that my car will be much quiter driving around. I couldn't handle the bad supercharger whine that you get with the F1 head unit. Example A: I got my APS kit for $12,800. To make the F1 you have listed there to work on a C6, Your going to spend $6800 for the F1 tuner kit, $2500 for a fuel system support it(was going to use the aps dual pump kit for 1k+hp), $1500 Headers, $1500 Full Exhaust, $1000 for 8 rib pulley setup, $500 seperate Oil Cooler. Then the supercharger is much more prone to heat soak, belt slip etc.. Granted if you were going to leave the car with a stock bottom end, then you can pick up a standard Procharger kit for $6800 vs the APS for $12,800 and save $6000 and come out with close to the same peak HP. Still even then the APS kit will still outperform the procharger. However that's on the LS7, on his LS6 I'd guess the Procharger kit would be $5500 and the APS kit $8000.
  20. I use the New Albany Cleaning company, we've been happy with them.
  21. If it's heads/cam LS2, I'm going to guess 504rwhp.
