As the title says. I am thinking about buying new rims but they are painted Silver. I'm sure painted silver will look good because they match the stripes. I'd really perfer polished or Chrome. Cleaner more classic look imho. Anyway, any ideas of who I can take these things to locally and get quality work done to them? Thanks! Jason

I was going to get the Hoosier A6 or R6 tires. The A's just wont last long at all on the street. Are made for 30 second runs and stuff like that. The R6's would really be a better bet, but the problem is they are not puncture resistant at all. Also, you can't just run the backs, you have to run all four tires as the R6's. Luke at tirerack told me it would be an nightmare running these on the street. I asked if he thought it would be better or worse then an ET Street(as I have run these many times) he said a lot worse. So I ended up just getting the new PS2 non runflat tires. I guess these will save me about 10lbs of non rotating weight and because of the softer sidewall, will eliminate my wheelhop problems. I asked about a 19" Drag radial and he said they wont make one because not enough sidewall. This was the same excuse for 18" drag radials just a few years ago. I think they will just wait for more demand. Currently only 3 stock cars would even use them. Ford GT's, Z06's and Vipers and most of these owners rarely track their cars. I think if the Mustangs/Camaro's start using 19" rims on a regular basis we might see them made. However, I think the Camaro is coming out with 20's

160 is deep 9's or high 8's depending on how hard the car is launched. I've went 10.3@132 before in one of my previous cars.

As long as they prep both lanes equally, I don't care. I wish they made 19" drag radials Not willing to swap rims either, I only like to run my cars the way I drive them on the street. I think the Pinks thing would be really neat! But might be best to do that towards the tail end of the event because most likely street tire cars will want to race other street tire cars and slicks vs slicks. Jason

Best part of the show though was in the begining. One of the teams was saying what teams he was worried about and he said "I'm not worried about team lambo, there is no way their car will stay together long enough to finish the race" (something like that) sure enough the Lamo's clutch goes out on day 2 and is out by day 3 or 4 because it was broke.

I've been watching it from the begining and every show it gets worse and worse. These retards are destroying their cars to gain 3 seconds in some cases on a time of 2 hour 45minutes. Like it really made a difference. As far as the speeding. You can not speed. It's a 5 minute penalty. They gave it to two people last week. Which I must say is also stupid as shit because if you went 10mph over the speed limit and didn't get pulled over, you'd save 30 minutes on a 3 hour leg of the race and get a 5 minute penalty, but these retards havn't figured that out. I don't know, show is getting worse every week. And why that F-150 thought he could complete the 1/4 mile faster then the elise is beyond me. Some people are just that dumb about cars though. I knew this guy who had a VW Rabbit stick that thought it was faster then my 97 Z28 Automatic, because his was a "Stick"....

are the uhaul trailers flat beds that hold the entire car and not just the front if it?

This Viper is the first non GM car I've purchased in a move away from GM vehicles. The reason GM has lost market share is because this build shit and could careless about the customer. Examples: 4th Gen Camaro and Firebirds. You know that hump on the passenger side front seat. Yeah that was for a Cat on pre 95's. So instead of fixing it to make the car more comfortable, they left it. My Escalade: Can't put gas in the damn thing when it gets cold outside. Pump will keep clicking off But oh no it's not the cars fault, it's the gas stations fault (according to a GM Bulletin) It says Gas stations need to change their pumps. WTF?!? My 05 Corvette: Did a very minor burn (4 seconds max) out and the rear end broke like an egg and dumped all the rear end fluid. Car had a whopping 1000 miles on it. Dealership gives me shit about covering it. 06 Z06s: Some were having roof problems and they were flying off. The inital response by GM before they thought there was a problem. "Don't roll your windows down above 70mph (not sure of exact mph)" CTS-V's: Were all breaking rear ends and having major problems. They couldn't even fix the problem for 2 years and finally started replacing rear ends with new model rearends. Grand Am: One of the best selling pontiac's. They do a way with the line and replace it with the G6 that doesn't sell at all. Business partner's wifes G6 had that stupid roof on it that leaked like crazy and couldn't get it fixed the entire time she owned it because the parts to fix it were on back order! SSR: Why would you build a parade car? then start it with 350hp like the GTO's to up it 50hp 1 year later. List goes on and on. I mean they are just clueless. I've only owned one foriegn car and it was an 05 Honda Accord and was the best built car I've ever owned and by a LONG shot. Nothing compared. Build crap and people will stop buying it. You have to have HUGE incentives just to move their cars. Then in turn drastically loweres the value of the vehicles people paid more for, and so resale values of the cars go into the toilet. Our 05 Envoy Stickered for 43k, we paid like 39(under invoice), 6 months later it was worth 19k . . . Also ever notice how you get zero credit for your options. my 06 Convertible Vett loaded cost 66k and trade in 1 year later was a respetable 46k, but if you got the no option convertible for 54k it had the same trade in. Go Figure. Not swearing off GM because I like their big suv's. Just think if they want to compete they really need to sit back and look at what they are doing.

Doesn't look like I'm going to get a trailer right now. I'd rather spend the money on go fast parts. Plus I just can't decide if I want to deal with the hastle of storing it somewhere. So does anybody ahve a trailer they aren't using that I could borrow. I can drive the car up there, but I just don't even want to think about "What if" the car breaks. Let me know! Thanks! Jason

Thinking about buying some lighterweight wheels and tires for the Viper. Can save up to 75lbs of rotating weight, which I guess is like 750-1200lbs off the car! The problem is the rims are black and I think they would look like ass. Any places here local that can do a good job? Thanks! Jason

yeah if you don't mind getting some details on it for me. I really want an open flat bed, but worry about rocks coming up from the towing vehicle? I hate spending money on something for my car when it doesn't make it go faster lol. What a waste It's just nice that if I manage to break something I have a way to get it home and not worry about it.

I've never smoked or did anything other then Drink, and I waited till I was 21 for that. It's amazing how things have changed, When I was my sons age I literally played from the time I woke up till the it got dark every day in the summer. I can't imagine my son doing anything outside for an extended period of time now for fear some freak is going to kidnap him lol.

The guy has no title for it? Not sure how big of a deal that is? I certainly don't want to mistakenly buy a stolen trailer. He said he purchased it from an estate sale. Thanks! Jason
