  1. 20 years. Heck 10 years ago.. I went to a ton of f-body events from 97-99 and if you were running 12's, you were FLYING. Jason
  2. 10.99@127.74 w/ 1.718 60' I'm not complaining. Now I just need to get a copy of the video so I can see it! I had a 1.705 60' but the clutch was really hot and was causing me shifting problems the last 5 passes. It's ok, I still got my 10. Jason
  3. The Z06 weights a lot less then a standard Vett. The Z06, while also only having 50 more HP is also much faster. I stock C5 with a automatic runs mid 13'. Stock C5 with a stick runs low 13's. Stock Z06 runs mid 12's. Going with the Z06 gives you a much better starting point. Another option may be to try and pick up a 05 C6 with some miles on it. Stock with the auto they run high 12's and mid 12's with a stick. 05 C6 stick vs. a C5 Z06 is close but the C5 Z06 wins by 2-4 tenths. Jason
  4. Cant wait to see how this thing performs. Suppose to be 650-680 base hp! Mark and I are #5 & 6 at McDorman's for the car and can't decide if we will buy it or not. If I do pick it up. First thing I'd do is replace the pulley. Jason
  5. That's great! I'm going to have to use that line on my wife
  6. somewhat legally I live in Blacklick and I'd just do it on the street somewhere, but there are houses on all the back roads. Would be perfect to have an abondoned parking lot, not viewable from the road! Or if someone has a 100' driveway they don't mind me borrowing and putting a bunch of black marks on, lol! I just need to get some practice in, other then the few passes I get once a week at a drag strip. There is a learning curve to it and you basically reset it after a couple days. Want to try and get the car dialed in. Thanks! Jason
  7. More importantly, I think it took him 30 seconds to get up to that speed! I did it from when I first heard his engine to when it seemed like it was capped out. It may have been worse.
  8. Yeah it's happened a few times on her H2. People write notes like "Cock" or "Dick" and put it in place of the back plate. We've had them draw shit and put it on the hood. It's really nice coming out of resturaunts with the kids seeing that stuff too. I just hope I catch someone doing it one day. Atomicfusion has had people do it to his H2 also. People are pissy because they are so in your face and so bad for the environment. Which I think is bullshit. However, because of people like that, I'll let them win and wont purchase another one. Jason
  9. Well I know why.. But why do they do it on purpose, just to get shit all over your car. Stupid bitch in a black Cavalier did it to me yesterday. I pulled up next to her and she was smiling. I waved thanks, like a smart ass, and went on my way. Just pisses me off. What's really funny about it, some other ass had just done it to me the last time I had the car out a few days ago and the Windshield was still dirty from that. People like that make it not worth having nice cars. Just like the asses that put notes on my wifes H2. /vent off Jason
  10. At my company we perfer people to just quit vs. give two weeks notice. Most of the time, we basically do the same thing. They give us their two weeks notice and we escort them out. There are only a few jobs at our office where we wouldn't do this. It's a very large risk for a company to take leaving an employee employeed that they know is leaving for another job. The employee usually doesn't give their full effort knowing they are leaving. However, we can even get past that. Look at what your saying. Your leaving because you are making more money some where else(Nobody can blame you, everybody does it). Your old job doesn't want you telling other employees that because it gets the 'bug' in their head that they too can make more money. I was a Team Leader at Discover Card and had worked their for 6 years. I gave them 3 weeks notice and they did the same thing to me. I really can't blame them. I had 25 employees under me in addition to being a very visable individual. It was way too big of a risk leaving me there. I could have easily recruited people to my next job. I too left for more money and opportunity. Just giving you my input as a business owner. On a side note ... Good to know your so close to me, if I need to take my car in for anything! Good luck in the new job and congrats on the pay increase! Jason
  11. Streetable to me means I can drive the car on the street and the engine isn't going to blow up. That's pretty much it for me. Meaning, I can drive it up to the local hang outs on Friday/Saturday night and drive it home. As far as trailering the cars the track. I do it as often as possible and both my cars are perfectly streetable. I choose to do this as to not add unwanted miles on the cars and if something were to break, I'd have a way to get the cars home. Jason
  12. Buy a C6Z06. What you need to do is calculate how much you've spent on your car modifing it and how happy you are with it. Most likely, if your like me, you've spent so much on your car that you would have paid for half, if nt more, of a C6Z06 already. Plus you can't beat the showroom stock numbers you get. Consistant 11's stock, then if you do want to modify it, you can spend $10k and run mid 10's and have the streetability of stock. Just can't beat it! Of course I am somewhat biased. Jason
  13. That's funny a lot. That dude was freaking out.
  14. This is one of the funnies video's I've seen on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TXjtbl2y3U This one is pretty funny too. Getting even with Telemarketers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5z4Vs26-TI&mode=related&search= Enjoy Jason
  15. Yeah that was me at trails. Been really working on my launching and finally got a decent launch on my final pass of the day. 1.895 60' and ran a 11.40@125.9 or something like that. My average pass for the day 11.5@126.X, considering it was an absolutely horrible day for racing, I'm very happy. The Density Altitude was 3,000+ the entire day. Can't wait for some cooler days! Hoping Norwalk will be nice and cold. May get impatient and have IPS throw a cam in it for me. Should push me up to 560+rwhp !! Would increase my trap speeds by another 3-4mph. And if you decide to buy new and order it, might as well get museum delievery. Would be a neat experience if anything else. The only downside would be the drive home. I believe in driving it like you stole it for the first 500 miles.(First 50 is really the most important) Which is why mine had 10 1/4 mile passes at the track before i hit that mark. Jason
  16. I agree if you know your keeping the car forever or even 5 years. However, you really don't get credit for any options when you sell the car. A good example is my 06 Convertible C6. It was completly loaded and stickered for 65k, yet when I traded it in, I got the same trade in as someone who's Convertible stickered for 55k. Plus on Yellow, the only contrast that looks good is Red, and I don't like Red interiors. Jason
  17. I absolutely love everything about my Z06. The only complaint I have is break dust, which is easily fixed with some ceramic break pads. The car is SUPER quite when you want it to be, yet you can hook up a $5 switch and have it sound like a beast! I've had the car for 2 months now and have 2000 miles on it. 30+ Documented Track Passes, 20 Gtech passes, 25 Dyno pulls, plus playing on the street, and the car just eats it up. On the street the car is insane fast. I'm sure some of the guys I've raced on here can comment on how quick it is. Being mostly stock (Headers & Cold Air) there hasn't been a single car yet to beat it. Andrews Viper was the closest and I'd say it was a tie. He thinks he won by 1/2, I think I got him by 1/2, lets just say it was close. Oh and with only those mods and a big thanks to Dyno Tune Motorsports the car puts down 502rwhp 474rwt. You absolutely wont regret the purchase. I was going to get a Ford GT, but am SOO glad I didn't now. Can't beat the quality of a Mass Produced car vs a low production car. Jason
  18. Only real differences between 07 and 08 is the interior and the transmission. They have a T6060 or something like that instead of the T56. I was going to wait for an 08, but figured it probably didn't have any huge advantages over the 07. That and I wasn't about to drop another 5k or whatever for the upgraded interior. Glad I didn't wait. I've had a lot of fun in the car for the last couple months! Jason
  19. Don't need a 10 second car to have fun, see you out there? And you should be running pretty decent, 13.5's if your an auto slightly better in a stick. My 98SS ran 12.97@109.75 stock!(had a whisper lid and free mods done) I'll be happy to match my previous best of 11.7. Going to be pretty hot tomorrow. Thankfully not nearly as bad as the last week has been though! Jason
  20. Not sure where we are going to park yet. We generally park pretty close to the staging lanes. Look for us there, or if you beat us there, park there. Jason
  21. I suck ass launching in the Z06. Clutch is completely different then the Viper. It's so bad, I stall the car or nearly stall it at least once each time I leave the house..... Give you an idea how bad that is, besides learning to drive a stick 10 years ago, I may have stalled all my M6 cars 3x combined!
  22. Nice little crew getting together! Pm some friends and lets get some more! Jason
  23. 2hrs 27minutes according to Map Quest. It's not the best track in the world, but it generally hooks good and is never busy. So it's a little more relaxing then some of the other tracks around. Plus, they don't care if you don't have a cage if you dip below 11.50! Jason
  24. Mark and I are going regardless, would like to see some others come out as well. Gates open at 5:30 and if you drive up entry is $10. $20 for trailered cars. With Mopar Nationals this weekend; I'm certain MCIR will be DEAD! Post if your coming or if you just show up, come park near Mark and Myself. Jason
