  1. Viper is faster, just very traction limited from a roll. I'd dig race all day in it though. Jason
  2. I'll race you from a dig. Which car you want? Or I'd like to race Sam on spray from 40 in the Z06 or 50 in the Viper. We need to get some people together and hit up Marion County. This way we don't get kicked out for going too fast! Jason
  3. There was a News cast on TV one day that showed a picture of some big Al-Qaeda leaders at a funeral. However because it was a cemetery we couldn't engage and take out the targets. So they went free and more american lives will be lost. Last I checked if criminal in the US were to flee into a cemetery and then pull a gun on an officer, he'd get shot.
  4. I think after 1945 we got way to relaxed on how we fight our wars. The media and other contries are constantly lashing out at us about everything our military does. We put someones underwear on their head and the United States is full of horrible people and trying to take over the world. The president needs fired, the soliders that did it need life in prison. I mean come on... Yet the other countries cut our soilders heads off and it's no big deal. Look at how wars were faught 200 years ago, Invading Army's came in and killed everybody that gave any resistance. Then what do you know the war was over. Now we go in, pussy foot our way around because we are worried how people are going to look at us. Wars last longer, more and more lives are lost on both ends and it takes forever for something to get accomplished. My Grandfather faught in WW2 on one of the worst Japanese islands and I can tell you I 100% support our decision to drop the bombs. When we are at war with another country, what are our goals in order? 1. Win the wars ASAP while losing the least american lives as possible. Since 1945, we've added 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. and still can't win on the political front with other countries. Jason`
  5. As far as the LT1 Edit, I don't know who does it anymore. You'll probably want to change over to a OBD1 computer and make sure you put in a LT4 Knock Module. Jason
  6. LT1's have been ticking time bombs for me. From my experience they just don't hold the power very well. I've had two that had the #5 & #7 Lifters break and cause motor rebuilds. (Two different cars/motors/installers) I know you don't want to hear it, but if I were you I'd take the money from the dyno tune and put it towards a 98TA or SS. With the free mods you can make those cars retarded fast. My 98SS back in 98 when they had no mods ran a 12.97@109.75 with Drag Radials and a Whisper Lid. I've owned 3 LT1 cars and 2 LS1 cars. My LS1's consistantly ran .7-.8tenths faster and never had engine troubles. They are just a better platform. That's why 10 years later everything GM builds is a LS1 slightly reworked. However if you insist on doing your LT1 and want some help, I can help you. I've made some nasty ass LT1's before. Also check out http://www.camaroz28.com to get some used items. This will save you a ton of $$. Jason
  7. That 12.5 is really conservitive IMHO. Mark and I ran consistant 12.7's in our bone stock 06 LS2 C6's and those were Automatics. It was also not even close to good conditions (high 70s - low 80s) A little more seat time and better conditions we would have ran 12.4's. I'd say the LS3's will be good for 12.0-12.1's in the auto 11.9-12.0's in the M6. That's what I'd get driving anyway. Jason
  8. Paddle shifts are a joke. I had it in my 06 C6 and never ever used them. I wouldn't give a crap if they shifted instantly, I'd still just let the car shift itself. It gives you more consistant times and there is no chance of making an error. I will say though I liked the Auto in my 06 vs my 05 that had the manual. Only reason to have a manual imho, is roll racing. Get much more MPH. The exhaust on some 08's are different from the LS2's. They went with the Z06 type exhaust with the flaps that open up above 3500rpms. It's an option you can get that adds 8 more hp. Also, the LS3's are dynoing a full 50rwhp more the LS2's stock vs. stock. GM again hitting another home run in performance! Jason
  9. I thought the movie was good but I guess I was just expecting more. Has been mentioned before, it was like watching an extended version of a regular show. A movie I did watch that was funny as shit was the new Adam Sandler movie "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" Two Thumbs up! The previews also had a ton of funny movies that I can't wait to see. Harry Potter sucked too. Very disappointed. Loved all the previous shows and being as this was the last was really hopping for more. Just didn't have it this time, very boring. Jason
  10. Having a hard time buying that as being truthful. My wife drives an H2 and while it can't get out of it's own way, it would certainly beat a Model T with 100hp.
  11. I was going to go to that this weekend too, but ended up getting tied up doing other things. Can't imagine explaining to my 7 and 6 year old what happened. I'm glad we ended up not having the time. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  12. We just need more track rentals......
  13. Last Saturday, Mark and I hit up the West Side to see if we could get any action going. Got a race lined up and went to two different places and the cops followed us all in and told us to leave. I haven't seen a dig race happen all year, they've all gotten broken up. And roll races are just about pointless. Once you race someone once, if it went off correctly, there is never a point in racing them again. You either lost or won. I wanted to race my Z06 last Saturday but there was nobody worth racing. Either I would get stomped or would walk everything out there. At least on dig races you can give cars and change it up some. Jason
  14. A guy I know traded his 06 Viper Coupe that looked identical to mine for a Nobel and hated it. Said it's completely just like a Kit car. I can't imagine taking a step backwards from my Viper, I don't care how fast/cool it is. Jason
  15. Called Williams trailer sales and the guy acted like he had no clue what I was talking about. The closest place was TSC and they didn't have any strong enough to do a car. Oh well, will just have to order the ones I linked above. Thanks though! Jason
  16. Redneck was a no, Trailer Tractor Supply only had light weight ones I called like 10 places and nobody had any or an idea of where to get them. Jason
  17. Need to pick up some T Hooks to trailer my car with, but don't know of anywhere local that I can buy them? J hooks I guess will also work. T Hooks Let me know! Thanks! Jason
  18. Marion County - Drag Racing National Trails - Drag Racing Norwalk - Drag Racing (only track rentals) Kil-Kare - Drag Racing Edgewater - Drag Racing I like Marion best because they don't give you such a hard time about not having a roll cage. Jason
  19. I use to do everything on my own so I could say 'I did it'. But I can really careless who does the work now. I just want it done right. If it's a fairly easy job I'll just do it myself, but if it's anything too major I'll just pay someone to do it. So when I plan out my mods, I'll just plan it out with installation charges included. Jason
  20. I have the problem too. It's becasue my brain wont slow down. I've found not being on websites 2 hours before bed and having the lights off help. But if I know I need a good night sleep and don't want to 'chance' it, I'll take one tylenol PM. Two makes it impossible to wake up in the morning. I feel ya though, there are nights where I've had two PM's and can't get to sleep. Jason
  21. The problem is I like to drag race and modify cars. So it takes the super exotics like a Lambo and Ferrari out of the running. The Ford GT is pushing it, but for drag racing I think it could be a monster. Plus roll races.. I mean 57% of it's weight is on it's back tires, tall gears, easily modified to the HP my car currently has. Traction wins races and I can't help but think the weight on the back would have a huge impact. And again, nothing against Porsche's. I think they are awesome cars inside and out, just wish there was more of a styling difference between models. Heck the interior on the Porsche blows my Viper away lol. Jason
  22. The problem with Porsche is that I can't tell the $40k one from the $200k one. The one I sat in at the auto show was very nice and comfortable, but I can't get past the fact they all look the same. Jason
  23. If I get one, it absolutely has to be Tungsten. The other problem with GT's is that dealerships are still asking too much for them. Prices droped in the winter but came right back up this summer. Thanks for the heads up on those. I may go check them out and see how they feel. Did a post on Viperclub and Viperalley and seems pretty split. Doesn't sound like the car is much better/worse then the Viper for comfort. I want something the wife will like a little more. She hates the ride quality of the Viper. Jason
