I've now added 4 people from CR to the Oct 15 track rental. If anyone else wants to race I can add you to the reserve list so that you get first dibs if another spot opens up. If we put you on the reserve list you do not have to pay anything until a spot opens up. oh...the reserve list is currently empty. The spots are opening up now because some people that paid a $10 deposit to reserve a spot are canceling as we try to collect the remaining $20.

BuckeyeGoats just had 2 people cancel that were registered for it's Oct 15th Norwalk rental. It's a full field of 90 cars....errr 88 as of now. ... so anyone that wants to go back to Norwalk for another shot. Let me know and I'll pencil you in, cost is $30. This is my best ET for today but that MPH is screwed up. 12.143 @ 109.56 1.723 That was from the right lane first thing in the morning. I did 2 more early runs on the right side and all 3 have 109.xx instead of 113.xx for similar runs on the left. I did get my 4 best 60's with this car today.

...as far as Norwalk's strick rules , I ran all three days of the Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals and 1) when I went to get the car teched the guy just look at the car and said "Stock...I don't need to look at it, here's the sticker." ...didn't even pop the hood. 2) There were guys in the Stock class that were wearing shorts. ...so how strick are we going to have to be? ...I think not very.

Just to let you guys know, INTENSE has is having a hard time getting people to sign up for their Oct 19 rental also. Brian other then BuckeyeGoats and LS1Tech what other site have rentals that filled up quickly? One of the reasons BuckeyeGoats rentals fills up so quicklly is that we get sponsors to cover most of the cost. In the spring our rental only cost $25 per car. We don't know for sure yet what the Oct 15th rental will cost and only took in a $10 deposit from the 90 drivers so far. The second reason the BuckeyeGoats rentals fill is that we basically do the rentals jointly with our sister site BuckeyeStangs and use LS1GTO, LS1Tech, and ChargerForums as additional co-sponsors sites. I'm currently going to the BuckeyeGoats, ColumbusRacing and INTENSE rentals this fall so I'd be in if you guys did more then 2 a year. What I see as the biggest problem for most people is being able to take off on a weekday. That's the main reason I get trying from people on BuckeyeGoats when I try to sell this rental. ...no more vacation time.

I'm racing all 3 days. Everything was delayed today until after 2 because of the storm that went through the night before. All the trailers and car carriers and RVs were stuck in the fields and had to be pulled out . It was a big mess. The weather claered up abot 1 and the rest of the first day went great...although I only got 2 time trial runs in.

Thistledown is across from Randall Park Mall. Northfield Park is in Northfield. Both are on RT8 but they are miles apart. Two entirely different horse tracks. LOL Northfield is about as safe as it gets.

I've never bracket raced either. I figure might as well learn on the big stage. LOL

Just wondering who, besides myself, is signed up for the Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals drag racing events on Aug 10 - 12 at Summit Motorsports Park, Norwalk Ohio. For those who have attended this event before, Summit Racing poured 6.5 million into upgrading the Norwalk facilities this spring to bring the NHRA tour there. This is the Largest All Pontiac Event in the country. Last year there were 505 race cars and 520 show cars. http://www.pontiacnationals.com/

Good size crowd of mustang owners in the area. Check out BuckeyeStangs.com, a lot of them usally run at Dragway 42 each week. ...as far as I Dodge Colts I ran one last week at D42 ...he was s/c and 4wd...he turned an 11.15. damn fast little sleeper.

I don't even go in the left lane. ...hate the ABS coming on after the run. LOL

Too bad about National Trails, I was at Dragway 42 last night and got 6 runs in. The temperature was down to 56 degrees for my last run at 11:00. Prep was really good because of all the slick cars that were there to run. Got consistent 1.7 60s with no spin at all launching.

GTOs have run 9s so turds they are not. They just cost a bit more to "fix". LOL
