  1. I would say your best bet is to get all the email notifications you can on individual parts that aren't in stock.

I've seen BCM BCG's pop up twice in the past 2 months, Mega billet upper lower combos have become available a few times. Those are your hardest parts to get other than your barrel.

I would personally wait it out for a few months and you'll get a lot more for your money. If you don't mind spending a little bit over what pre sandy was you can definitely accomplish buying a quality upper in a private sale.

  2. I would cut it and pin it or follow Bussmans suggestion.

I don't know how you put the flash hider on, but I've heard that loctite can loosen up due to the heat.

Give Adco a call as well. Gun Envy isn't really accepting much work right now. I asked them about threading for my CZ barrel since they do it at a great cost and they told me to just have it done by CZ while I had my barrel there for fitting.

  3. Regular AR ammo is 5.56x39, but I found good deal on 5.56 x 45. Just wondering if they are interchangeable?

I hope you don't injure yourself.

You need to pay attention to what you're doing. Regular AR ammo is either .223 or 5.56x45 depending on what you're barrel is marked.

The 5.56x39 that you're speaking of is something you made up.

5.45x39 will NOT safely shoot in your AR.

  4. Read my original post about bullions and it will clarify as well as how dealers charge you.

Bullions are a little over 30 right now. 30x5=150. Plus your dealer charge of 1.50 to 2.50 per coin. Let's be low and say 1 dollar per coin. 155. You're looking at a 5-15 dollar savings depending on what you're getting charged above spot and me leaving the pennies off of what's above 30 for bullion pricing.

Also, dealers ask for AKSING price, not bid price. I see asking right now at 31.XX at 4:00 PM, commodity trading is closed at this time.

  5. My wife loves her Chemex coffee maker with a Kone stainless filter.

I want to get one of these real bad. I'm assuming it's supposed to work and taste close to a drip machine. Is this correct?

I need to start home roasting. It's something I want to get into down the road. How did that first batch turn out? Have you gotten better at roasting from when you first did that picture or was there not much learning curve to it?

Top left and bottom right are the same coins. One is a front, one is a back. One is canadian. Bottom left has Ab Lincoln on the opposite side. Top right has some weird flower on the other side.

If you can't tell the coins from the pictures yourself, I probably won't be much help, I was just buying silver coins. I just am trying to free up a little bit of funds right now but, I won't move on these prices. I feel they're more than fair.

  7. I went to One Line the other day which is a shop on N. High, good coffee and they do latte art or whatever. The people working the place were to hipster for me to return other than to buy bean. They do have some good bean in their store.

I got a chance to try some Kopi Luwak this week as well. Some of you may know about it. I liked it quite a bit.

Does anyone have any experience using a Chemex maker? I've been thinking about getting one to try and switch it up from using the aerorpress from time to time.

  8. I have 5 coins of Silver, each is 1 Troy Ounce.

Price: 150 for all 5. This is currently UNDER spot prices at this price. If you go to a dealer they normally charge you 1.50 to 2.50 OVER spot.

I can get you pictures if you need them, just ask, please.

http://www.monex.com/liveprices this is the site I use for my commodities pricing. Please, pay attention to what Silver bullions are going for, not the tickers listed at the top.

EDIT: I'll contact all buyers back in order if this falls through Saturday.

  9. If it were me I would get a CZ 75 or a CZ P07. I have the CZ 75 BD model and love it. For what they are and what they cost they are excellent guns. Don't let the feel of the trigger bother you off the bat if you go pick up a new one. CZ is notoriously known for creepy gritty triggers until they're broken in.

Another plus to the CZ 75 model is, they do make a .22 adapter kit. It is a little expensive but, as far as .22 conversions go the Kadet Kit for the CZ is considered one of the best. The Kadet Kit and a new CZ would be the same or a little less than a new Sig P226 (Depending on model)

I'm a big 9mm fan for the capacity aspect when it comes to self defense but, if I were to look at a .45 I would look at FN and the HK USP. I haven't held a FN but I like the high round count it offers for a .45 when it comes to self defense. I've also shot a HK USPc .45 and it felt nice to shoot.

If it's just a range gun, get what feels good in your hands and you have the most fun shooting. If it's for self defense, narrow down what you feel you need for a self defense situation and go from there.
