honestly, its still a bargain at that level. if i'm adding recaros, brakes, GT500 quad tip exhaust, automatic, upgraded diff, and some suspension parts, as well as the blower package, it will probably get close to $50k. i'm going to see if i can order a wheel/tire package from the cobrajet to go on the car as well. i'd love to see just how far i can go with a dealership-bought car.
-
:lolguy: i'm in the process of research. wondering if the dealership can install longtubes, and all the necessary suspension shit as well. i'm within 2 months of pulilng the trigger. have to get my GTR back from the shop and once that is complete and i know that car is squared away, i'll be ordering

i priced one up to $38k with the options i'd want (auto--$1100, recaros $1500, wheels, etc). i'm seriously contemplating this summer. i'd probably even keep my vette, because i can. i can wait for the next GT500, and see if it comes with the 10speed, wait for the zl1 or z06 to get the 10speed, wait for the cherokee hellcat, or simply buy a mustang now, and buy one of those other cars next year. i'm itching to get a new car and don't want to pull the trigger on a big-boy car until i see what the 10 speed brings. i love the new look of the mustangs and its been a while since i've had a new stang

that's from svtperformance.com a forum full of faggots and pussy wannabe bitches

i'm going to bench race on car forums with my dyno sheet, maybe take it to the drag strip once or twice in five years, and rev the shit out of it at car shows, possibly run a shit load of people over while showing off at the end of said car show. every once in a while, i'll roll race minivans and hondas on the freeway. probably going to go with an auto. damn i wish they had a better auto in these things.
-
i'm tempted very tempted 5.0 bros, what other options would you add to this car from the roush/ford catalog that the dealer could install. i literally don't want to do anything other than write a check

Apparently they're NOT dealin!!!

Where there's a will, there's a way. My kids loved my gto, and they loved the caddy. I'd wait for whatever gm is offering with the 10 speed. I plan on having a raptor and a vette with the 10 speed.

I get it. Not trying to give you a hard time. I'd love to own a 1000+hp gtr or ugr lambo. What prevents me is the hassle of dealing with things when they break. And they almost always break at some point. It's not a huge deal to swing the $10k+ to put an upgraded trans in my gtr. Just the hassle of finding a shop to handle the job, taking it there, following up on shit, and waiting months because shep is back logged. I could only imagine getting a modded lambo out of butt fuck nowhere to get fixed. There's something to be said about walking off the lot with a factory fresh 640hp car that you can drive the ever living fuck out of, and take 5 miles down the road if you break anything. Zero anxiety about driving the car how you want at all times. Total piece of mind. Especially if the car will see serious mileage and be relied on for child transport duty.

I've never even stood next to 1000hp crank car. :dumb: If 1000 hp drives better, and is smoother than stock, then why the fuck doesn't Nissan make them that way in the first place? Are you telling me the guys at the shops are better than Nissan engineers?? My car has only been down the 1/4 mile 5 times, but I can tell you if Nissan would have pulled the black box on my car prior to the trans quitting, they would have laughed in my face for trying to warranty the car. Bottom line it's a 1000hp, 7 year old car, with zero warranty. I wouldn't buy it, and I tend to buy cars in this price range on a whim/dare/challenge. I've been on the forum long enough to see the op post struggles with previous highly modified cars, and my recommendation takes that HIGHLY into account.
-
It's a 1000hp 7 year old race car with zero warranty that has had 72k of the hardest miles known to man. A stage 1.5 trans isn't enough for 1000hp. And that's likely 1000hp on kill mode. Probably rolls around town at 800-850hp. I killed my stock trans with simple bolt ons and am going with a stage two trans. I don't plan on having 1000hp, but if I did, I would build the motor and add billet gears to the trans. Not that it's not impressive. Sure the car will be fast as balls. It's a nine second car all day long and probably mid 9's at that. But when everything rattles like crazy, and the motor/trans pops, you'll wish you would have bought the $65k, 10 second factory car with the new car scent and 5 year warranty. You'll be stuck with a broken car that needs $10k to fix, and will be down for 4-6 months.

i go back and forth on this. honestly, i'd wait to see what the zl1 brings to the table---i'm honestly waiting on this car. or at least waiting for them to throw the 10 speed in the z06. the GTR is a 10 second car if you get a '13+, and mod it. but a high $40k GTR is going to cost money for maintenance. there is something to be said about driving a factory-fresh car, as opposed to a 60-80k mile 5 year old car---which is the GTR.
-
If you can swing a new zl1, that would (by an order of magnitude) be the best car for you. Faster than a h/c/I c6z (or very close), epic 10 speed auto, seating for the kiddo in the back, and mod-friendly. You'd likely have the capability of 10's right out of the gate, with a full warranty. If you get the caddy, I'd recommend the auto. It doesn't shift nearly as fast as the current 8 speed auto (the 10 speed is rumored to shift much faster than the 8 speed), but it is still faster than the manual. There are tons of threads out there on the differences between the v and the z. The v, when modded, is right up there with the c6z in terms of speed. In terms of comfort and daily driving, nothing beats the caddy.
-
I put 1k miles on my h/c/I vette last year. And 10k miles on my v when I had it and 10k miles on my Audi. You will enjoy having four doors, and the ride of the v is amazing for daily usage I loved my caddy. My advice is to get the v and mod it. I a, almost certainly parting ways with my vette this summer, and either getting another vette, or something else with four doors that is fast. Specifically, I'm waiting for gm to throw the 10 speed autos in the c7z

Pretty riced out.

Car has been out for a week and everyone and their mother comes out to complain. So typical

i have a ramp set up that allows me to fit jacks under the car. it raises the car 4", and allows me to get jacks under the car. sorry due, that sucks

Your friend is offering you the car because he knows you're a car guy, and I believe his offer is meant for you to buy it and use it as a beater. I'm pretty sure you're going to offend your buddy if you buy his car and immediately flip it for a profit. Even if it's fixing shit and selling it. Just seems wrong to me. Buy it, get it mechanically sound, and drive it. Skip the carmax bs, the rattle can paint job, etc. just drive it till the wheels fall off Or pass on it

she's called several times, saying she just wanted to hear my voice she tells me that multiple people have told her she's normal--haha--that's a dead giveaway i'm afraid to ask why she's divorced, again, most girls offer this up she said i should just bring an overnight bag and can stay in the other bedroom since she's 50 min away. who the fuck does that? who says overnight bag? but she's cute, so fuck it. and as far as exit strategies, i'm on call, so i can always use a work emergency to spring me if necessary if i don't update this thread sunday, it means i'm chained to a chair in her house being "limped" and fed bread and water. who's coming to wisconsin to rescue me? pics later tonight

update:: took a few weeks off the craziness--had my kids on spring break and then the week after. i'm out to dinner tomorrow with a girl i've been on and off with for well over a year. thursday i'm giong out with a new chick off of bumble--i just picked that app up last week and the women on there seem to be a bit better than tinder. this girl is 27 and of course, a yoga instructor. friday i'm going out with another chick off there who has serious crazy potential---in fact, its probable. but i'm going to test the waters and see. she's cute and seems very normal at times, nuts at other times. i'll provide specific examples if need be, but i have a decent crazy meter, and she has it pegged at times just talking on the phone with her. had another chick off tinder going through a divorce start snap-chatting me---needless to say, i'm interested in meeting her as well don't have any plans for the weekend yet, i'll just see how these dates go.

There are a few things keeping me from buying a tesla, but I may not be able to hold out much longer. I worry about the future of the company. Wisconsin does not have a dealership and I got no fucking time to go to Chicago if there are problems with the car. Aside from that:::: I don't care about range I love the fact you can seat 7 in the p90 whatever model I love the safety Awd The looks are good enough for me The simplicity of the car I wish it made more noise though

No. Third party will never get elected. Vote 3rd party and you will only guarantee that Hillary wins.
