  1. sorry, not interested in the NASCAR collection. better luck next year.
  2. hell, i'm going to bradenton this weekend for the NMRA event--most likely going to run my cobra on the true street challenge just for the hell of it. cars are a hobby for me, not a career. i'm not interested in being harassed, so i basically would avoid any situation like on that video. cool videos none the less.
  3. got to love the 4 eye. welcome edit:: just saw you've been racing since you were 16---holy shit!!!!
  4. unfortunately, we don't shop at these stores. we donate tons of stuff to the consignment shop by me, and i can vouch for the fact that my daughters may have worn some of the things once or twice--they're in perfect shape, but toddlers grow so damn fast they will only wear them for one season. my wife has to shop at gymboree, target, old navy, and 'janie and jack'---huge ripoff, but not much i can do about it, when i spend money on bullshit car parts like its nothing. the shop by us sells the clothes for fairly cheap, and we get 50% of what they make on the clothes.
  5. hopefully they can get it filmed and in the theaters before GM shuts its doors for good

if you're motivated, you'll be back to work in much less than 6 months. i'm wondering aloud who the surgeon was who took on bilateral ACL reconstructions, one being a revision. i wouldn't have done that, but oh well. good luck with the recovery--hope your job doesn't try to screw you over.

6 months for an ACL??? come on man. i used to give people 6 months off competitive cutting sports, but let them go back to work in half that time--even for revision ACL's. are you a pro soccer player by profession??
  8. starliner as mentioned above, has excellent cuban food---one rule---always get the special for that day. for breakfast, you can't beat paul's pantry in grandview, off of 5th avenue--best omelettes in columbus
  9. i used agape transport. they broker the work out to several shippers. i was happy with the transport---for my '85 mustang. it was an open transport on a big 'car dealer' type semi. took them 3 days to get to tampa from cleveland, and i paid $600 including insurance.
  10. thanks. i literally hadn't seen the car in 7 years. i completely forgot what it looked like, and was surprised when it was delivered and i saw it was a t-top car-- this is by far the least amount i've looked into something that i bought--but i knew it was still in great shape
  11. they're close to the tailpipe, but i see no evidence on the pipe of any rubbing. i thought the tires would hit the quad shocks first, but that's not the case--they are closer to the exhaust. the SLP tailpipes are even bigger, so i'm a bit concerned about that. i'm not sure how wide the wheels are, but the tires barely fit--probably an 8" wheel.
  12. it didn't work, and i didn't want to upgrade everything to the newer type of a/c units. also, i will never drive this car to work--pretty much driving it to shows/meets/for the hell of it, on the weekend with the t-tops off. my wife has promised never to set foot in it.
  13. thanks guys. yeah, i will definitely upgrade the rear if it hasn't been done already. i want to wait and do the 8.8/5lug/rear disc conversion all in one step if possible. not sure what springs i want to put on it, but i don't want anything too low/harsh. i might do bullitt springs.
  14. thanks i'll be swinging through columbus in august to pick up some stuff i have at my brother's house. if you still have it then, i'll buy it off you kirk
  15. thanks for the offer, but i think i'm going to hang on to this one for a while
  16. previous owner (not my uncle) put the 'cobra' badge on the fan guard--and did all the mods to the car. '85 and prior stangs came with the 7.5" rear end. this was the last year for carburetion. all GT's in 1985 came with the 5.0 liter motor, with shitty heads, rated at 205 or 210 hp. i believe the e7 heads started in '87 (maybe '86--my fox knowledge is slow to come back to me).
  17. my brother has my '87 in columbus. i have the other 3 in tampa--and my wife's old beater, and her exploder. looks like a car lot at our house.
  18. brakes need bled. not sure if the rear is still a 7.5" or if it has been upgraded, but i'll know soon. car also has a new battery on it.
  19. decided to pick up a four-eyed fox. this car is an '85, 5.0 5speed t-top car. my uncle has owned it for 8 years, and drove it 500 miles--hadn't driven it in 7 years. car has 52k original miles on it. GT40 heads, roller rockers, MAC shorties, E-303 cam, flowmasters, stock h-pipe, and 3.73's in the rear. i had to rip all the interior out to clean it (mold), yanked all the smog, emissions, and A/C stuff, replaced leaky header gasket, valve cover gasket, 160 degree t-stat was removed and switched to 180 degree. new dist cap, rotor, wires, and plugs were added. engine bay still needs cleaned up, and some old, cracked wires need fixed--but the car is up and running--and will easily smoke the 265 BFG's from first to second. plans are to add all the stuff i posted in the other thread (basically very mild suspension upgrades, shorty shifter, K&N filter, bushings all around, and an SLP loudmouth catback), change all the fluids, etc, etc. i also have the dual snorkel attachments for the air intake to get cold air from the fender wells. enjoy kirk http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/9724/s3500067.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/1030/s3500085.jpg http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/6010/s3500091.jpg http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/470/s3500092.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/9150/s3500090.jpg http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1728/s3500095.jpg
  20. sorry, i'm working on a new thread. i need to update my sig
  21. various suspension parts (control arms, shocks, struts, quads), tune-up stuff, a/c and smog delete, pulleys, SLP loudmouth catback, clutch quadrant/aduster, K&N filter. time to go to work. http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/7127/s3500057.jpg http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/4726/s3500058.jpg

  23. i'll find the link. he ripped some guy out of OVER $100k--its well documented. along with numerous accounts of him 'scavenging' parts off customers' cars and selling them. he seems to do this mainly with out of state customers.
  24. hennessey can die, as far as i'm concerned. how he still gets magazine coverage with all the people he's robbed of $100k+ is beyond me
