just bought a set of eibach drag springs with the airbag. i'm going to be running kyb shocks/struts/quads, and latemodelrestoration upper and lower control arms for my '85. not looking for anything drastic, as i'm sure the car still has the 7.5" rear. does this sound like a good set-up?? i'm waiting until i move this summer before i buy an 8.8 for it. at that time i will do a 5 lug swap, with an 8.8, and disc brakes all at the same time. i just want to get the control arms/springs/shocks taken care of right now kirk

are you keeping your ford computer on your car??? i love my aeroforce guages. look them up on svtperformance.com $400 for both guages. they plug into the stock computer port, and each guage can display 2 functions for a total of 4. they have a built in shift light. you can measure at least 20-30 parameters that the computer monitors. oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, inlet air temps, vaccuum, voltage, fuel pump duty cycle, engine load, rpms, mph, mpg, and a shitload more. each guage also has analog inputs--i have a wideband hooked up to mine, and a 3 bar MAP sensor to measure boost up to 30psi. these are the best guages i've ever seen, but if you're not running the stock computer forget about it

his screen name is fordsvtparts IIRC, i'll check. i always order a ton of stuff from him to make it worth while for him to ship everything. order a bunch of motorcraft oil filters, a couple fuel filters--they're cheaper to buy through him then at vatozone or advanced. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/member.php?u=21307 make sure the new pedal will not buttonhole through the carpet and get stuck

damn. i thought i was hard on rick.

thread backfire in progress. i'd be just fine with getting those reviews from students. time to pull out the 'extra credit couch'.

i got to admit, i'd be applying for that job as well. look at dr. 90210--he's not even certified by the american board of plastic surgeons and he is insanely famous, is around the hottest women alive constantly, and makes more than he could ever spend.

damn these c6z's are nice.

then you better bring more than high 11's in your dedicated track car, which you don't even know what pistons/rods are in it---which leads me to believe that you had NOTHING to do with building any of it. did daddy do it for you?? titanium rods?? wow, sounds like an exotic car-------or a rusted out piece of shit that is ready for the crusher. tell your fag friends about that in homeroom tomorrow.

my locker partner in high school had that exact car, but it was a z28. that's what first got me interested in cars 16 years ago--it was a great car. good intro, welcome.

know any canadians who have needed a knee replacement?? an ACL surgery?? back surgery??? the waiting line can be 2-3 years, because these are not 'life saving' procedures--you can live with back pain, knee pain, and a torn ACL indefinitely. do you think for a second americans would tolerate this??? your nuts if you think americans would be satisfied with this--we have people who bitch like crazy for having to wait 2-3 months for a knee replacement. the gov't in candida tell their surgeons that they're only allowed to do a certain number of elective surgeries per year-- so these guys do their quota of surgeries in 6 months in canada, and then open their private clinic in the caribbean to actually make some money the other half of the year. ask yourself, would you take a job knowing that over the next 30 years you will steadily earn less and less each year??---because that is what every physician in america has been doing since the '80s. add to that the fact that every american is looking to hit the 'malpractice lottery' and sue for any accepted complication/side effect. i just wish physicians would have the balls to shut it all down (everyone stop everything) for a month and see what would happen. am i bitter?? maybe just a bit, but this country (government and the american public) has been absolutely butt-fucking physicians for the past 10-15 years. you pay more per hour to have your car worked on at a typical shop, then you do for surgery--does that seem even remotely reasonable??

i'll admit, i don't know a ton about them. i had assumed that the top supercharged model got the axe. trust me, i'm routing for GM just as much as the die-hard f-body guys--i'm looking at two GM cars--an SUV and sports car, so i want them to do well. i would be pleasantly surprised if the V8's hit mid 12's with 400-ish hp, 3900lbs, and an IRS. cobras push over 400hp, and coupes weigh 3650lbs--the standard 'good' run for a stock cobra is 12.7 in the 1/4. GT500's weigh in right around 3850lbs and run mid 12's with 500hp. i have to admit i would give the 550hp blown version a serious thought if it responded to mods favorably.

the americans voted obama in, and they will get his health care plan---which will breed a much more 'half-assed' attitude from physicians, as well as cause anyone who has half a brain to avoid the profession altogether. you guys (the american public) wanted it, and you will get it--be prepared.

ford is looking for low 13's, possibly 12's with good conditions on their '10 mustang GT with the 3.73 rear end option. chevy would be lucky if they're v8 camaro could match that. i'm not a fan of the new mustangs either, or the camaro, or any of this retro 4000+lb shit

i know, this is part of the entertainment factor for me, as i'm sure it is for him.

let me guess, a couple of adjustments from you, and some talk on eating healthy and dealing with their problems and you can cure almost anyone, right?? clearly, you are delusional--we have meds for that--ironic, isn't it?
-
are they actually going to make the supercharged 550hp version?? that is the only one i would consider, and i would only consider it for a second or two--put a trailer hitch on it, and it would be a good tow vehicle for my faster vehicles. nice, heavy, and stable on the road to even tow a double-wide

check out modularfords website. a lot of guys who see limited track duty are even going auto-- i will go to the track only a few times per year, but am still looking at an auto. with a locking converter, and an overdrive--freeway cruising with normal rpms is a reality. many people are using autos that you still have to shift, since its easier to keep their stock computers and not deal with the hassle of having to get a computer to shift the auto. just something to think about--the auto will ultimately hold much more power, be more consistent, and faster than a stick.

of course it does (to you). mainly because you're an uninformed 'lay person' with just enough knowledge to be dangerous--hence, why you became a chiropracter. how much time have you spent working in a psychiatric facility in a clinical setting?? none?? figures. i'm no psychiatrist, but i spent enough time on OSU's psych ward to see what happens to people when they get off their meds (schizophrenics, severely depressed, and manics mainly), and the recovery they make once back on their meds. do i think anti-depressants might be just a bit over-prescribed?? perhaps, just a little.

55 year old guy mouthing off on a website he couldn't even figure out how to join. then talking about his 'make believe' car on here, challenging multiple people, then backing down. i'd kill myself if that's what i become in 20 years.

not sure if its slipping?? i put down 590 rwhp with the current tune. 17k miles on the car (one owner), and i don't abuse the car at all. only been to the strip twice, and ran 11.5 at 126 as my best run, but had 11.6's and 11.7's. i ran neck and neck with a 2.6 KB cobra this past weekend at the NMRA event, and he had a solid rear, and an auto---and had planned to spray a 75 shot--he must not have because he just barely edged me out, and we had hot/humid florida conditions. my car should be 11.2 with a better driver powershifting, and better tires. the fact that i never powershift the car, only do burnouts at the track, and don't launch the car on the street at all, is why my clutch grabs like new to this day. my car has high flow cats, bassani catback, K&N FIPK, and a whipple at 17psi, with cooling/fuel mods/mass air, subframes, springs, and an IRS brace--and a shifter.
