  1. pretty concerned that's going to throw off the computer's calculation of average mpg---i would have probably called swat. honestly, i'm sure they know the car leaks gas and just don't give a shit. if you drive a car repeatedly and can't notice a huge puddle that's half the size of your car every time you drive away, then you probably don't deserve to live
  2. +1 one car for the track, one for the street, and one for the ladies
  3. man, i miss columbus. i've eaten at all the places mentioned---depends really on how much you want to spend and what you want to eat----you can never go wrong with hyde park on the cap, or downtown mitchell's on 3rd. i'm a fan or morton's as well. anyone ever eaten at hendke's (spelling)? when i lived in columbus he was the only master chef working in columbus. food has a german theme, but is incredible. for lunch/dinner (less pricey), i used to love ted's montana grill. plent of sushi restaurants downtown/short north area.
  4. :dumb: maybe untouchable 10 years ago. everyone's making 450hp cars, trucks, minivans, stationwagons, SUV's, etc. hundai's late to the party---you know, showing up for sloppy seconds.
  5. went with the wife and another couple to eat at whistling straits golf course. i love spotted cow beer--kind of like a cross between sam adams and blue moon. no work this weekend, no responsibilities, etc. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/7444/ngspottedcow.jpg
  6. i don't know how i missed this gem. great idea. let me know how this works out for you. i'm thinking of murdering someone and i was hoping if i did it in a different state (maybe even a few states over, just for safety sake), i should be able to get it off my record, and/or get away with it?? i'm continually amazed at how resilient human beings really are. somehow, the dumbest people survive to propagate the species. either that, or darwin was way off.
  7. build the car---then lose your ass when you sell it buy the built car---and potentially buy someone else's headache that they could never get running properly, etc. ultimately, its a tough call. there's an extremely fine line between having a modded car that is fast, yet still fun/safe/reliable to drive anywhere, anytime, at the drop of a hat----and having a car that is no longer fun/streetable.
  8. i'm out of the loop, living here in wisconsin. the only thing i ever here is how osu got beat last year by WI, and all the (obvious) issues with players accepting gifts. please tell me there's hope this year. it was hard going to the wisconsin game last year and watching it in person. i hadn't even gotten to my seat and it was 7-0 already
  9. "i swear i was never speeding" lulz. can you honestly sit here and claim that all three tickets involved the officer mistakenly recording your speed?? or mistaking you for another car?? seriously dude?? man up, admit you were speeding, and take your licks
  10. i'm willing to bet that just about all of these kits are very, very similar, and use common parts. there will surely be 'fitment' issues to say the least.
  11. My ls2 gto had upwards of 375rwhp. Hope this helps. Honestly, the limiting factor in your car will be suspension, andgetting enough tire
  12. they make excellent daily drivers. congrats on the new purchase.
  13. yeah, i do mainly knee and hip replacements. its nice to live comfortably, but at the same time, i've given up many of the things i just don't have time for anymore::: car work, wood working, weekly car shows, mowing my grass, gardening, working out 5 days a week, home improvement, etc. i try to spend all my free time with the kids, but definitely miss all the other things mentioned.
  14. i actually considered the wagon, partly for the lulz factor, as well as the fact it would be just a bit more practical for me. i needed the ability to fit 3 across the back, which you can't do with the coupe. i had a bunch of other cars in my sights as well::: M5, 911 turbo, X5/6M, AMG, cayenne turbo, etc. in the end, i've had a great experience with our local dealership in buying the vette, and wife's SUV. closest dealership that can work on any of the others mentioned above is an hour away--this made the decision to get the V all that much easier
  15. http://www.recaro.com/us/product-areas/child-safety/product/boosters/recaro-vivo.html everytime i sit back and realize all the stuff i used to do that i simply no longer have time to do (landscaping, mowing my own grass, home remodeling, major car projects/modifications, etc), i come to the realization of why i've given those things up. funny thing is, i've had the car for 3 weeks, and have been waiting to take some pics/vids of the car. when i got home from the y today, my kids told me they wanted to take a ride in the 'fast car'. my girls are twins---you can easily tell which one loves cars, and which one is a 'princess'
  16. no kidding. they learn early how to squirm under the shoulder straps. guess i'll have to tighten them up a bit.
  17. i forgot about the other videos. lol 2010 ctsv, automatic, bought it with 10k on the clock. traded in my GTO to the local dealer, and they found the car for me, delivered it from ohio, checked everything over, and replaced the stock wheels due to the fact they looked like shit. the kids love it, my wife can easily drive it if we go out. comfortable, fast, (too) quiet. might just get a catback, and intake for it http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7620/dsc00231q.jpg corvette has a big brother http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/853/dsc00230j.jpg http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/1681/dsc00225vx.jpg http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/9073/dsc00213zl.jpg engine is not much to look at with the big cover on it http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/7483/dsc00226uw.jpg[/
  18. love my z06. faster than anything i've ever driven stock. like drving a go-cart. the dual mode exhaust is extremely nice, as stated above. not sure what is prone to breaking at stock power levels though. corvetteforum.com is your new best friend welcome to the dark side
  19. not so much. my kids loved riding in my GTO, i just couldn't fit all 3 in the car. so................... i traded it in for this. my kids love it already. :fuckyeah: speed limit is 55mph on this road by the way.
  20. it says he has a hurst short throw shifter?? my GTO had a GMM ripshifter with lou's short stick----best shifter combination when i was on the forum. not sure if MGW makes a shifter for the GTO, but i've found MGW makes the best shifters out there---have one on the cobra/vette/'85
  21. congrats. i loved my GTO. i used to get 27mpg on the freeway. enjoy it. looks very clean, by the way
  22. always liked the looks of those cars. congrats on the new project
  23. looking good. i've had quite a few problems getting the built 4r70w into my cobra. the tranny has been out of the car 3 times, and down since winter. beyond irritating, but hopefully, i get the car back in a week or two. interested in seeing some runs/timeslips for your new setup
  24. good looking car, especially the wheels. welcome to the site
  25. good looking car. careful with that wing and low overpasses in columbus---shit, bro. welcome to the site.
