  1. meh, if you're going to go to lidio, or livernois, you should just take it to milwaukee. so many of the 'big name' shops have multiple idiots working at their shop to handle the workload. my guy does all the work himself---takes a little more time to get your car back, so i'd take it there over the winter. but you can be assured, you're not going to get some jackass working on it. every time i go there, he has multiple motors torn down, and in the process of reassembly. he routinely gets business from 6+ hours away.
  2. honestly, i have an unopened reach sitting down by my xbox. i just didn't have the time to learn the new game, and only play online---so i still play halo 3. on a side note, has anyone read the halo books---there's quite a few, and they're all pretty damn good.
  3. i'd steer clear of paul's automotive in cincinnati. they did the initial pulley swap/tune on my cobra and the tune was way off. dynotune to the rescue. modular depot is in cincy, but i don't know much about them. i've got an incredible motor guy/tuner/complete cobra shop in milwaukee---probably a bit too far for you, but this guy is legit. he's done a solid rear swap for me, and an auto swap. every time i show up there, he has at least 5-6 terminators in there getting major work done, and just as many new edge cars. he's in his late 40's and was a ford tech for 16 years. he does complete motors, fabrication, tuning, wiring, pretty much anything you can imagine with a mustang http://www.candmperformance.com/
  4. love that notch. great pics
  5. i've had zero issues with my '05. it makes a fantastic daily driver. only irritating thing is that there's no "unlock" button inside the '05's (there is on the '06's). you have to use your FOB to open the car. no keyholes anywhere on the car. other than that, i've had absolutely no wheelhop with 275 nittos. i once averaged 27mpg cruising 70mph to chicago. my car is lightly modded (catback/intake/shifter/tune--375rwhp), and is completely reliable to drive across the country). that being said, i'm looking to sell mine to get into a 4 door, 500+ hp car. mine has 26k miles and is absolutely mint.

wow, so that's what it means to be a loser.
  7. no. honestly, look at GM. do you think they can make a motor that will rev to 10k rpms, and last 100k miles?? the correct answer is no. i'm guessing the motor will be a smaller displacement, direct injection, OHC motor---who knows. not going to sell my vette, and get in line for one of these
  8. no thank you. i vote "no" for a CR sponsored waterboarding event. you can call dr. rick for medical backup if this event takes place.

    Drink of Choice?

i'll have to try one. i'm assuming you use khalua??
  10. can anyone describe the pictures in one sentence or less?? i'm at work and can't see them thanks

i've read the thread, and there is some discrepancy as to whether you had 'permission' or not. either way, if someone wants to look at the motor in my car, and i'm o.k. with that, i will get in the car and pop the hood myself--- the only thing you have going for you is the fact that you're young, and expected to be somewhat stupid/socially inept. its still fucking annoying. and at 17, you shouldn't be smoking anywhere, let alone right next to someone who is irritated by cigarette smoke (which is at least 75% of the population).

dude, you need to take a 'couple week' vacation from the forum, and the car meets. it's fairly clear to a neutral third party observer (me) that you're just as annoying in person as you are online. no one likes an annoying 'cling on', who just doesn't shut the fuck up. next time you go to a car show, keep your mouth shut 99% of the time, be respectful, and don't touch anyone's car, or get in anyone's car. i've been going to car meets well before i bought my '87 GT, in 1998. i've never had anyone jump in my car, or pop the hood to look at the motor. i'm not sure how i'd even respond to that, i'd be so shocked--but i can guarantee it wouldn't be good

    Drink of Choice?

i drink mostly beer. i love spotted cow (made in wisconsin), blue moon, shocktop, sapporo with a good steak or sushi. our wolfpack has gotten into drinking irish car bombs when we hit the bars on our sarasota 'fishing' trips. i'll do vodka/redbulls, and maybe a shot of tequila.
  14. its hard not to agree with you---i'd rather have my kids outside playing than inside watching dvd's/playing video games. at the same time, trampolines are 'broken bone machines'. i still have flashbacks of working at children's hospital in the heat of july---we'd see 12-15 forearm fractures that needed to be 'set', and another 12-15 that required only casting. this was every single night. that being said, i don't shelter my kids.
  15. rice. i'd actually consider the ttrs if it came with launch control and the dual clutch auto in the US. motor trend ran it a few months ago, and it ran to 60mph in 3.6 and bottom 12's in the 1/4. that was at 330hp. can only imagine it with 500hp.
  16. powerwheels gets my vote. check out http://www.modifiedpowerwheels.com and let the modding begin. i started with the little 6 volt ones when my girls were 18months old. i modded one of the two to 12 volts and the girls fought over the modded one, so i ended up modding both. i'm waiting until the winter to mod their current 12 volt power wheels to 24 volts
  17. well, this doesn't involve loading a car onto a uhaul, but its equally stupid "whoa, chuck, chuck, chuck" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjzbVqADiWo&feature=related
  18. i'm not saying NOT to get the trampoline, but buyer beware. broken forearms are very easy to fix. i can still remember growing up jumping on a neighbor's trampoline. we used to jump 2-3 people at the same time and purposely try to do powerjumps. hell, my neighbor would make us jump on the trampoline and kick his pellet gun out of his hand---kids don't think through the consequences of their actions like (most) adults do. my twin girls have a barbie jeep, and a princess fj cruiser. 12volts, with two forward speeds and reverse. best part is that you can modify these things, and they even have a forum dedicated to this. my girls love them, and my son is getting into it too. much safer than a trampoline imo. these aren't my kids, but here's a 24 volt modded power wheels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W-VVBkP_Qc&feature=related
  19. you know you're a redneck if................................... just kidding, pretty damn funny if you ask me. and i can absolutely guarantee if you have a party with that in your garage with drinking/bottles involved, the pool will get popped.
  20. trampolines, atv's, monkey bars, and now a lot of playgrounds have zip-lines------love 'em. they keep me in business. if you absolutely MUST get one---check with homeowners insurance first. then buy a NEW one with the enclosed cage, and only let one person at a time bounce on it. part of the problem is getting 'power bounced' off the trampoline (happens when two people are using it and one lands just as the other takes off and the trampoline is 'rebounding', causing the person landing to get catapulted much higher, and frequently off the trampoline), resulting in a broken forearm most commonly
  21. word is, that the espn article coming out tonight is going to crucify pryor and tressel. supposedly, pryor is unofficially off the team---just going off a source close to me that lives and breathes buckeye football, could be way off (hopefully). sucks to see tressel gone---with the talent the buckeyes recruit, we need a new coach fast, to save future recruits. we also need someone who doesn't say 'the punt is the most important play in football'. especially since our special teams sucked ass last year
  22. great intro. welcome to the site
  23. $600---holy shit. my driveway was only a couple hundred to seal and its over 300'.
  24. "cars for clunkers" gem that unfortunately survived
