  1. In the Zimmerman case his 911 call, and statements were called into question as possible support of harassing or possibly stalking Mr. Martin. He keeps his mouth shut, let's his lawyer do the talking, and documents his inuries, maybe it's less of a shitstorm, maybe it isn't. Believe the professor, police officer, Mr. Ayoob or don't. Better than that, talk to your lawyer and have a plan ready.
  2. While his retraction smacks of insincerity and +1 job saving-throw, given where he lives, the idea of "certain firearms only belong in LEO/Military hands" is probably, relatively, common enough, even amongst the firearm friendly. Though even as I disagree with Mr. Tsai and much of the populace about what I should and could have access to, there are weapons the public does not need access to. Say missiles, or nuclear bombs. I know there's a world of difference between those types of weapons, but if I claim to be in support of freedom, how can I also be against owning or being able to own any type of property? I also understand that this is how many feel about my ARs, or handguns. I'm likely being over-analytical but the hypocrisy still exists. I desire freedom of property, of association, and travel, yet I still have my own moral lines in the sand. As it pertains to Mr. Tsai, I believe his reasoning is similar, just on a different point of the scale.
  3. Being quiet is good advice. Mr. Ayoob recommends a slightly different strategy. 1. Point out Perpetrator to Police 2. Tell Police you will "Sign the Complaint" 3. Point out the Evidence to Police 4. Point out Witnesses to Police 5. Will Give Full Cooperation in 24 Hours After Speaking with Attorney I think the point being to make sure you are listed as the victim in the police report, and the other party the perp/attacker. I remember a great video of a Harvard lawyer making an awesome argument for never saying a word beyond asking for your attorney, and how the 5th amendment has been misconstrued as a safehaven for the guilty.
  4. Meh, if someone is happy with their pic, good for them. After I started messing with amateur TV calibrations I realized very few people actually care for realistic color/contrast/sharpness representation. Later after I became interested in photography I found people felt the same way about photos.
  5. B1G took it like a bitch today. At least OSU won, and Michigan, just barely.
  6. ^ yeah that was brutal. Wish him the best.
  7. I still haven't decided what stock I'm going to end up with, but got the lower mostly done. Didn't have any issues besides sending the pivot pin detent flying across the room. Oh, and the PSA lower parts kit I received was missing a few parts. I called them and they got the pieces out quickly so I can't complain too much. As you can tell I grabbed up an M&P lower, PSA parts, and Magpul MIAD pistol grip. It feels exactly like the MOE grip on the shrubby except you can swap out palm swells and keep or remove the finger grip/groove piece. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k21/sol740/20120908_003454.jpg
  8. ^ I should not have laughed as hard as I did, but ...
  9. I also think I've seen the xd-essentials setup for under 400. That's the same gun with none of the fluff.(mag holder, holster, ect)

  12. It's definitely borderline, but he was being attacked, could not know the mans intent, or general mindset, and people can and have died from being punched in the head hard enough.
  13. What a strange story. Opinions? http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/region/wayne_county/an-unusual-case-of-road-rage-between-a-truck-driver-and-bicycle-rider-takes-a-shocking-turn
  14. Hahahahaha. Kid thought he was billy-badass.
  15. Can I change mine, I also would like to support tacos.
  16. I would fall on the libertarian side. I want the freedom our founders fought for (just extended to all men and women instead of white, male, property owners), the government out of our wallets, and out of the bedrooms of consenting adults. I want the states via proper small government, and representation, and respecting natural law, to decide for themselves all of the issues the federal government has usurped, thus stripping states of their sovereignty. Ya know, all the stuff we were suppose to have in the first place.
  17. Picked up a new edc. Paid a bit more than usual, feels high-quality enough for me. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k21/sol740/kershawcryo.jpg
