Although it's almost always recommended to get a police report, most insurance companies won't care when there is only one vehicle involved. It's pretty obvious what happened by looking at the vehicle. Maybe other companies are different that mine though. And to answer OP's question, almost no way they won't total that truck. Glad to hear everyone is ok and that you've got coverage.

The Maxima was something I considered before, but I'm coming from my Speed3 which although not the fastest car out there, is pretty damn quick to me. Part of why I'm leaning toward the G37 is the fact that it's pushing close to 330 hp and I think that would keep me satisfied more than the Maxima. I'll have to look into that. My budget is $25k and I have been finding some certified G37's with low miles for that price, but by no means am I set on buying one just yet. I'm still looking into the newer TL's but finding the 6MT with AWD in my price/mileage range is not easy.

That is one thing I noticed after taking a ride in my friend's G35x, seemed smaller inside than you would think. That is one reason I keep looking at the newer TL's but I'm still not sold on that ridiculous grille that Acura thought was attractive. I fit a set in my Miata once (top down of course), so I'm sure I could figure out a way to fit it in the Infiniti. The trunk capacity requirement unfortunately rules out the coupe for me .

Considered this too, but I can live happily/comfortably with a car payment. I'll only be financing a small amount.

I'll most likely go with the 4-door as I need to be able to haul a drum set and other equipment around easily. Heated seats are nice but if they go out it's something I can live with.

It depends which version you go with too. I can't do the 1040EZ anymore because of my investments, so I do the full version which asks you pretty much every question. I think it costs about $50 if I remember correctly.

Paying off my car this month and looking to get into something a little newer/nicer this spring. Have been seriously looking at a couple year old G37 lately. Seem to be pretty affordable, 330 hp and AWD (or a 6MT, but not both ). Anyone here own one or have an opinion on them? Any specific issues/years I should be aware of? I plan on keeping this car for the long run, so one of my big concerns is long term reliability. So far what I've been reading has been good regarding the engine itself.

I use Turbo Tax because it automatically imports my W-2 online and all of my forms from Edward Jones. Even with stock sales, student loan interest, W-2's and a 401k, I can still do it online myself. You just have to follow along and answer the questions as they are presented.

WTF America?! STAHP!! Shooting at Lone Star College in north Houston
Flyin Miata replied to bmwohio's topic in Dumpster
You can't say that there are shootings everyday while simultaneously saying it isn't a problem with America. Media tends to blow every story about anything out of proportion, but the shooting didn't happen because the media reported on it... -
Interesting. Mine is making an odd metal on metal rattling noise that seems like it's coming from the radio display screen. Had the dealer take a look, they took my dash apart 3 times and said "we don't know how we fixed it, but it stopped rattling after the third reassembly." Then it came back two weeks later.
-
Did yours sound like it was coming from toward the radio area? Kind of a metal sound almost? I've had a dash rattle for a while now and the local Mazda dealer has taken the entire dash apart 3 different times. They still can't figure out what it is.

I think they're just a bit over 2500 lbs.

Fuel for the Political Fire: Detroit is a worthless $#!+hole

What's the fucking issue here? She just wants Obama to give her some bacon. I see nothing wrong. Everyone needs bacon. -
The whole series, old as it may be, is pretty interesting. http://www.edmunds.com/confessions.html

You work for Progressive right? I do CCU claims and a few of the totals I've seen are crazy. A brand new Mercedes R350 got totaled after hitting a pole, started out repairable but after a couple weeks the estimate was up to $28k. Also saw a one or two year old Nissan Armada that got struck by lightning, and fried something in the electrical system. Body was easily repairable, but after 3 weeks of diagnostics the dealer said it would be nearly $20k in parts that they'd have to go through one by one before figuring out what was wrong.

Came in to post this, wasn't quick enough. But listen to this guy because he knows what he's talking about.

In my opinion, you would be able to claim that you had possession of the lane in a case like that.
-
This is definitely a tricky one. I guarantee there will be some kind of shared responsibility, but it would depend on witness statements, police report, etc. If the driver turning right can somehow prove that he was more than halfway into the lane before being hit, then he may have a good chance but that is tough to prove. My guess is also 50/50 , or each company might deem the other driver totally at fault and the two insurance companies will fight it out amongst themselves.

No one is saying they can do it better, they are saying that these refs are not performing adequately in their job. It's been obvious through the start of the season, and it has culminated in a team losing a game because of it.

I used http://www.ufreetv.com earlier today to watch the OSU game at work, quality wasn't HD by any means but was definitely watchable.

It's your choice, but your choice to be unhealthy can affect what everyone else has to pay for healthcare costs (not saying you specifically, but as a general statement). My company started a tiered cost of sorts for health insurance. As of last year, you pay more if you are a smoker, and have the chance for discounted rates or money off your deductible if you go get a physical, take certain biometric tests, etc. I think it's a great idea, I quit smoking and in a few months will be able to see more money in my paycheck because of it. I like that they still give you the freedom to smoke, but give you good reason to quit (they'll even pay for the patch or gum if you choose). Honestly it's the same way auto insurance works, no reason you can't apply a little of that to health coverage.

I know plenty of people who smoke Hookah and have never done any other drug (aside from alcohol). However I absolutely understand not wanting to do it for fear of going back to cigarettes. I quit about 2 weeks ago and I'm still tempted sometimes.

Sorry, I'm tired and didn't catch everything. Hopefully the camera quality is good enough to prove it wasn't you, otherwise the fact that the other employee's name on the tag seems like it would make your case pretty easy to prove unless they are trying to gang up on you or something.
