  1. That is with a new 2-year contract, not what they want if they are looking to get the new version this fall. I bought a phone from http://www.cowboom.com, it's a Best Buy subsidiary. No 3GS's, but they do have some iPhone 4's in the $260 range contract free. Just read through the listings, they rate each phone 1-9 for what condition it is in and most have pictures too.

    BBQ Sauce

Thanks to Adam, I got a bottle of the sauce in the mail today. Tried it on some steak that wasn't quite quality enough to be edible without sauce, and I can say that this stuff is really good. The molasses seems to really come out in the sauce and it's got the right amount of kick that everyone can enjoy it. It's that perfect mix of sweet/spicy that separates good BBQ from great. Can't wait to get some chicken and cook with this stuff. Again, thanks for the freebie Adam, and keep me posted if it ever starts getting sold up north!

The picture isn't that bad, if you can't figure out the name within a few seconds I don't think the picture is at fault. Let us know if it ever spreads out to Cleveland area stores, I'm always down to try new BBQ.
  5. Bump for that furniture, a lot of pieces by that maker sell for insane prices today. I have a full bedroom set from them (handed down from grandparents) and it's some of the most well-built furniture I've ever had.
  6. Very good point. I probably should've specified too that this is more common when you want to stay with your current carrier. We had a lot of people do that in the states where mid-term violation removal isn't allowed (California, for example). But yes, I've seen situations where one ticket dropping off didn't even affect the policy at all. The variations in policies and underwriting rules can be so insanely complex that it's always better to straight up ask a service rep first before making ANY moves.
  7. Try cowboom.com, might find a decent deal
  8. Depends on the company primarily, and the state second. Progressive is 35 months in Ohio for tickets and NOT at fault accidents, and 59 months for AT fault accidents although the points themselves usually drop after 35 months on an AAF. Depending on your carrier, there are two ways to solve the problem of a ticket on your record in the middle of a policy term: 1. Call and ask if they can remove it. Progressive (and maybe others) will remove your violation if it is past 35 months old, and you haven't had any additional tickets/accidents since the renewal of your current term. 2. If that isn't an option, you can call and cancel your current term, then get a brand new policy the same day. By rewriting the policy as of the date your ticket comes off, you avoid having to pay for it beyond the 35 month period. Just make sure you aren't losing your tenure with the company, getting dinged with a cancel fee, etc etc.
  9. I'm grandfathered into Sprint SERO ($50/month, unlimited data, text GPS, 500 mins, blah blah blah, and NO throttling). I can upgrade every 2 years with a subsidized phone but you have to call some special group within sprint customer service. Also, for people who are going to buy phones without a carrier discount, check out http://www.cowboom.com. I just bought a Galaxy SII because I broke my old Galaxy S for $220. They rate the quality of the stuff they sell because it's all used, and some even have pictures of the actual product you're buying. I bought my phone that was rated "5" and it's in very good condition.
  10. Keep trying a few, my work and home didn't come up but a building I used to work at did. Has a lot to do with whether your house comes up in google street view I bet.
  11. I used the spray on stuff to do my front Mazda emblem (plastic covered with fake chrome whatever originally). Did about 3 coats total, and has been on there for nearly a year without a single chip or scratch. I figured winter would be the true test with salt and freezing temps, but it has held up surprisingly well. Not to mention it's cheap and there is almost no prep at all compared to painting it.
  12. Lol same here, nothing like having your stocks double in value over the last few years. :fuckyeah:
  13. Are you sure this wasn't an insurance verification? Ohio randomly sends out mail to people who have a registered car asking to show proof of insurance for a certain timeframe. I've never heard of a random registration check though, I don't see why you HAVE to register a vehicle if you aren't using it. But if it's registered and you aren't using it, it's still safest to keep insurance on it because of these checks.
  14. I've always played with the auction rule, never could understand how someone could actually get through a whole game and enjoy it without doing auctions. The other big thing is allowing trades between players. Makes the game so much more interesting when you can swing a good 3 player trade to change things up a little.
  15. You can't beat up 8 ducks? Pussy.
  16. That was my first mod as well, and I felt the same way after I heard it too. I really couldn't believe how much smoother it accelerates now, and the power difference does seem noticeable even months after I've had it. Did you go with the Corksport set? The next thing I did after that was the RMM, although I only did the inserts (also Corksport) rather then getting a whole new mount because my drive to work covers a lot of shitty roads. I'd recommend it, for $35 it takes about 10 minutes to install and gives the car a much tighter feel when shifting.
  17. I got mine for free after I got my AMEX card in the mail, no adverse action. Also got it from my credit union after they accepted my loan, along with getting it from Chase bank after they declined that very same loan. Obviously there is no easy way to do it, but it's possible. You could also go in and get pre-approved for a home loan with a realtor, they will tend to run your score and in most cases it costs nothing to get pre-approved.
  18. Didn't hit the lottery, but I did spend $5 on a 50/50 raffle at a benefit for American Cancer Society and won $270. Good enough for me!
  19. Upgrade my 32 inch television to a 42 inch.
  20. I just bought a pair of these http://www.zappos.com/puma-whirlwind-classic-ebony-cordovan-grey-violet Good mix of walking and driving shoe. Narrow enough to make shifting easy, and the heel has a dotted rubber part that comes around over the bottom so your feet won't slide around at all. One of the more comfortable pairs of shoes I've had in a while although arch support is minimal (as with a lot of Puma's). Lots of different styles too.
  21. Both mine were above average. Speed3 was an 86, and my old Miata was a 59. Both are listed as one owner cars which is inaccurate though. Was cool to see that the Miata has spent it's entire life since 1990 in the same town though, and that the previous owner wasn't lying when he said there was a 4 year period where he didn't drive it by looking at the mileage reports.

  23. From the Buckeye Club site: 2002 Miata SE 6spd., Titanium Grey/saddle brown leather, 73K miles. Number 1313 of 1491 made. fog lights, A/C, windows, locks, cruise, Bose, power ant, metal petals, and sill plates, 16 inch snow flake wheels. Clean car fax, car spend most of life in Tampa area. Condition: Car has service history, and all panels appear to be original. Clutch, everything new less than 700 miles, including pilot bearing, and tranny service with Redline 80, MTL.. Brakes, been replaced, pads look good. Tires, Falken Ziex 912 7-8/32 tread- good Top, good condition, not new, but has been replaced, no obvious rips or tears. Paint, very good shine, few little scratches, Rate as a A - Interior, good over all , some checking of leather, but much better than what you would normally see with this year, Rate as B Wheels, a little curb rash, almost all pass side, not bad, or noticeable until you (really) get close to car .Rate B. (Tip, I have no connection), but Wheel Medic right here in town, can do some amazing things with wheel restoration, would recommend. Car is a clean, very presentable example, asking price $ 8995.00. I know this is out of your price range by a bit, but it can't hurt to call and see if you can talk it down some. It's an SE so you'll pay more but they tend to hold resale value a little better than a regular Miata.
  24. And to the OP, find out who runs the local Miata clubs around central Ohio and go to a meeting sometime, you may be able to talk to people and find someone who can locate what you want. I think Buckeye Miata Club is the Columbus area group assuming they're still in existence.
  25. They aren't common, but they're out there. My dad picked up his second MSM last year from a local guy in the Akron area. Pristine condition, never saw so much as a raindrop. Had 28k on it and I think he got it for a little under $14,000 private sale. Oddly enough, the night he drove it home was one of the worst thunderstorms in recent history :lolguy:.
