  1. I will be in the area today visiting relation. Might stop by to look around. I dont think my car would blend in very well though.
  2. welcome from one old guy to another. Im a chevy guy now but when I was a little younger I restored and owned this . The picture is not that great because it was a scanned photo. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc178/1fstws6/69Mach1.jpg
  3. If I were you I would consider doing a trade for a nice C6. Its possible you might find one on the corvette forums super mint and nicely modded or bone stock with a owner looking for a highly modded cobra. Then you would have a reliable car with good power for street and play time. Then down the road get into a C6 Z. This seem more realistic at this time for you. I think the EVO would put you in a similar situation down the road.
  4. Main reason I was pushing the 1100 is that they are a little easier to find and less $ . I agree lots of choices it just depends on how thick your wallet is.
  5. Beretta 391 also a good choice.
  6. Like I said before Remington 1100 is a good choice. Nice used one are available. Good info here below. I was just over at my grandfathers home and he showed me a beautiful 1100 Skeet gun with 2 sets of barrels 28 ga modified choke and a skeet barrel with full vent ribs. He said its yours for 1000.00 Now this gun is the top dog and pretty hard to find in mint cond. You can find plain 1100's less then 500.00 The Remington 1100 is a semi automatic, gas-operated shotgun, popular among clay target shooters and waterfowlers.By: marvin Posted: May 14, 2007 Filed under: Shotguns, Remington, Gas Operated, .410 bore, 12 Gauge, 16 Gauge, 20 Gauge, 28 Gauge The Remington 1100 was designed by Wayne Leek and formally named the Remington model 1100. The shotgun was introduced in 1963 as the premier successor to John Browning's Auto-5. All models of the Remington 1100 are gas operated, with a unique mechanism that significantly reduces recoil. The Remington 1100 is still currently in production as of 2007, and is consistently the best selling self loading shotgun in United States history. Different Gauges Introduction 12 gauge (1963) 16 gauge (1964) 20 gauge (1969) .410 bore (1969) Matched Pair in .410 bore & 28-gauge (1970) Uses in Skeet and Trap Shooting When the Remington 1100 was first introduced in 1963, the Remington 1100 was an instant success especially with Skeet shooters. Particularly popular was the gas-operated action of the model 1100 as it significantly reduced felt recoil. The Remington 1100 is also a very popular Trap gun, special variants with Monte Carlo stocks and high ribs are available. As with numerous other semi automatic shotguns a standard shell catcher can be used to fully avoid spent shells striking others on the squad when shooting Trap. The drastically reduced recoil of the Remington 1100 makes it extremely popular with smaller framed, first time, and Women skeet shooters as well. Numerous parts of the 1100 were and are interchangeable with other Remington shotguns model 11-87 and 870.
  7. My daughters first car was a 95 325i 4 door it was a great car. She drove it for a couple years with zero problems untill it got totaled. She now drives a 97 jeep grand cherokee and she loves that thing, bought it 2 years ago.. Both were very nice shape with average miles for under 3000.00. 98-99 nissan altima's are great cars also .
  8. I just found a pretty good deal on a 99 frc vette for 16k on a corvette talk forum Car has nice mods, 448 RWHP 430 RWTQ and 69,000 miles.
  9. I have a 99 Altima with 230,000 miles and it looks and runs like it has 50,000 I have never had a GM make it that far with out some major problems.
  10. That pro touring camaro done nice should be in the mid 20's and up depending on what has been done to it. Be carefull when looking at those you dont get much for around 15k range.
  11. C5 Coupe or C5 FRC I would not go in debt on a new car especially a 2011 5.0 Mustang. Think of the hit you would take after you drive that thing off the lot. They will be a dime dozen soon enough.
  12. Agree with the above. My next car in a year or two.
  13. Thanks above, it does look better then most for some odd reason.
  14. Another neg is that the 2008 and below Vipers have no ABS or Traction Control. Which is ok for the fun factor but it sure is nice to have at certain times. All that power can get you in trouble on rainy roads and if you have to slam on the brakes you better have a lot of road.
  15. Interiors are not that great IMO. I sat in one before I bought my C5 Z. Not that the C5 interior is all that but it fit me much better. The viper does have that flashy look though that gets the attention another neg is gas milage if you plan on driving it on long road trips.
  16. Why you say that ? I know everyones looking for a bargain or to buy something to turn a buck. I use to go all the time and buy, sell, trade. Its been a long time since I have been to one though.

  18. Age has some bearing on price I know when dealing with winchesters and brownings. Pre 1964 and post 64 is the breaking point. The pre 64's were more hand fitted and used more hand forging to build after 64 they went cheap and used more cast parts and less hand fitting, also the wood was a lesser grade usually. From what I have read the quality got a little better in the late 60's and 70's. The one I have has real nice wood and the bluing is pretty nice for a low grade gun.
  19. I was thinking at the lowest 300 because of the condition. Have not decided yet what to ask. I might try to take it to the next gun show to see what I can do.
  20. I have been out of the gun scene for a while and I have a 30-30 winchester model 94 that was sold thru sears stamped ted williams model 100. This gun was made in the late 60's early 70's. It is in near mint condition. Winchester made them for sears to sell from what I understand. I was thinking about selling or trading around for a handgun. Is there a market for 30-30's.
  21. put it back down on the stock wheels and it would get some bids. I remember driving one a while back and it rode kinda of rough even bone stock. It would be funny to see this one go down the track the way it sits and scary.
