Yes it has the big fin drums, it stops better then I expected. The previous owner rebuilt the brakes. Maybe down the road I will do disc. I actually like the look of the big old drums showing. Steering is not that bad. I'm aware of the upgrades. Maybe down the road. I noticed a few new front end parts also. Now an overdrive tranny would be very nice. Im just glad its a 3 speed auto and not a 2 speed.

It floats down the road pretty good.

Im keeping the drivetrain as is. The 401 is great old engine. As far as seeing another one on the road or even at show would be rare.

Yes she is a big one,just barely fits in the garage.

I hate that commercial. Anyway this is old news for some here but I have been searching for an old wagon for a while and finally bought one. I was thinking about buying an old pick up and do the rat rod thing,but after thinking about all the work involved and what I would end up with I decided to go this route. Its a 63 Buick Lesabre Estate 9 pass Wagon. I wanted something different. It has a 401 Nailhead,st400,trans,3:23 posi rear. It does have power steering with power drum brakes,and a power rear window. That's early but Im in.

The only issue I have with using mulching blades with an open deck is the quality of your cut. Most mulching blades will not create much lift to suck up the grass blade for a good cut. I use only high lift blades during the spring/summer, but they will work.

Probably the largest turn out I have seen.Nice to see some old faces today.
