  1. That poor clutch. Cool build though. Bet it's wildly uncomfortable.
  2. If timelines like Pulp Fiction and Memento don't confuse you: Mechanique: A Tale of the Circus Tresaulti By Genevieve Valentine http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51jfsj4BjHL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_.jpg It's a great book with a unique style of writing. The author puts you right into the Uncanny Valley of writing and gets you to feel what the audience feels which really makes the eerie nature of the circus come alive. It's post-apocalyptic steampunk with just a hint of supernatural. The only issue isn't really a problem, but more of a potential stumbling point for some readers. The author moves back and forth between the present and past with not much more indication than a break between parts. It'll take a couple paragraphs to pick up where she's brought you, but it's not a big deal and kind of adds to the mood of the book. If jumps like that don't bother you, then I think you'll enjoy this book.
  3. I find it disturbing that Apple is doing everything that they cried about Microsoft doing back in the desktop wars and noone seems to remember.
  4. True. It would have been nice for it to tell me that it was basing the time on traffic instead of clear driving time like my old GPS. But now I know it'll do that.
  5. I was very impressed with Google Nav on my android phone this weekend. I was driving back from MA and plugged in my destination while I was in PA to see when it thought I'd be home. I knew I was making good time so I was curious. When it calculated it said I'd be home about an hour after I thought I would. I figured it was wrong and would update as it picked up my average speed. It didn't budge. Then, sure enough, I hit snow and traffic near Cleveland. Got home an hour late.
  6. Was visiting family this weekend and the Patriots set you made last year for me came up. My sister absolutely LOVES them and said that whenever she sets them up everyone's blown away by them. Seems there's a lot of cheap plastic sets floating around the east coast. She even 'friended' you on Facebook. The only bad thing about the boards is that they're so good she doesn't want to take them to the beach or risk getting them wet. She got divorced this year, but she made sure to get the cornhole set in the split! :fuckyeah:
  7. For the price, the GoPros can't be beat for video quality and versatility. Their only weak point is audio. But it's not that bad.
  8. Have a good one. Christmas for me, so Merry Christmas!
  9. I can see it now.. RC car roll racing in Mexico. :lolguy:
  10. Then the word fly has no vowels. Don't cry. You gave it your best try. By the way, I was going to a fish fry and happened to look up at the sky. Now, I wouldn't want to pry or sound wry, but my teacher told me that Y is sometimes a vowel. Now I know you're thinking that my use of y is a bit predictable. But I can assure you that using Y as vowel is no myth. So I hope I didn't mess up the rythm of your hymn, that you slyly hum on the way to the gym. :gabe:
  11. Wow, I figured they would have taken cold weather into account with a battery warmer. I thought GM had done better with it. Might want to consider soft snow tires. I'm sure those ultra-hard eco tires aren't going to like the winter at all.
  12. To be fair, Chevy had nearly a year more development time into their "World Engine" than the other teams.
  13. Considering how political discussions tend to go on CR, I'm finding it hilarious how many people are getting Obama.
  14. Had two trips I was looking forward to go belly-up this year; Tail of the Dragon and the SCCA RallyCross Championship. Hopefully I'll get to do them in 2012. It also looks like the trip to Austin will have to wait until 2013.
  15. That was mathematics and a monkey behind the wheel.
  16. No. But they might go up as well, or completely "out of business", because Asshole-AEP can now crank their costs up.
  17. Newt. But he met less than half my answers. All of them suck apparently. Nothing new. Move along..
  18. Kim Jong Il was the real-life asian Cartman. Hopefully we'll have a long period of "Frat Years" with the son and not have to worry about him.
  19. So I guess we can no longer use city sky lines in art or it'll be a 9/11 reference.
