  1. If they do that, mine will meet with sudden, recurring, and inexplicable power surges. And I don't street race.
  2. Driving the 'Ring is on my Bucket list. Doing it in the snow would just be incredible.
  3. Barely on the rollers... edit: nevermind.. no idea what that light was.

  5. I try to make it to a couple C&C mornings at least. Though with my new work schedule that may not happen any more. The big events usually come too close to a RallyX or I just don't know about them because I forget about the Meets forum. Mostly it's my fault. Home Depot meets are usually just a lot of awkward silence and standing around since I don't have much of a history with CR and most people just get blank looks if I discuss suspension or RallyX. I usually roll through to look at the cars. I do plan to be at the CR AutoX event if that ever happens, and it's not scheduled on top of a RallyX..
  6. For simple stuff: MPEG Streamclip It's free, trims videos really easily, and can even cut/paste. I haven't tried out it's more advanced features. I've just used it for trimming down my videos. Did I mention it's free?
  7. In that country it's stay left or DIE.
  8. 10,000 units of a $100K vehicle? And someone thought that was reasonable enough to loan them money?? :dumb: Even Subaru is only hoping to move 5,000 BRZs that cost $25K.
  9. Those Germans really know how to commute. They're just not allowed to smile when they do.
  10. Just looks like urban free climbing to me. Granted, past a certain point, one height is the same as another. But I think I'll vote free climbers as the bigger badasses. They often have further to go and more hits before going splat.
  11. :dumb: Except we don't demand women dress in bikinis whenever they are out in public, or drill into them from birth that they are innately obscene creatures that should be ashamed of their appearance.
  12. So trading it in could save me in tax the difference that a private sale would have made me. VERY interesting, I did not know that.
  13. We've had worse. Usually we say that you can run, but we reserve the right to stop you if it looks too unsafe. We can do it during the regional events, but the National Challenge, we'd have to turn you away.
  14. Here's another. I'm looking to pick up a BRZ this year and sell the spec.B to get it. Here's the issue: I still owe money on the spec.B. I'm not upside down on it, and will be even better off by the time the BRZ comes out. But I'll still owe. Now I have two options: Trade it in. This is the easiest one because the dealership will handle all the bs with the loan. But I'll get 2k - 3K less for it. Or I can sell it privately. I can get the most money for it, but paying off the loan and getting the title is a giant PITA juggling act. I can't ask a buyer to give me the money and trust me to give him the title later, and I don't want to give the car away while it's still in my name. Should I take the hit and just trade it for simplicity's sake? Or go through the headaches of a private sale for the extra money? Before you answer, there are a couple other wrinkles. First, by the time the BRZ comes out, I might be able to pay off the loan on the spec.B with the money I've been saving as a down payment on the BRZ. But I don't think I'll be able to get out of the sale what I'll put into it. Should I save the money and deal with the loan in the trade/sale? Another wrinkle is that Subaru won't be flooding dealerships with the BRZ. Current rumor is 500-600 per month across the US. That's roughly 1 per dealership per month. I'm sure it won't be a sell-out, but getting one optioned as I like may be difficult, so I may have to wait. If I sell the spec.B privately, I'll be driving the STI as a daily until I can get the BRZ. Not ideal, but doable in the summer. TL;DR: Selling a car with a loan on it: Trade it? Sell it? Pay it off with saved down payment money first?
  15. I'd think a shotgun would be a better zombie slayer than a rifle.
  16. It is another year and another Season for OVR RallyCross! We'll be back at the great surface of National Trail Raceway thanks to the fine folks there. And we might even be debuting a new location not that far away. As always, Dan's Deli will be at the NTR events supply their usual great lunches. Not only is a new location a possibility, but we have some great events lined up this year. The biggest news is that we have the Great Lakes Division National Challenge this year. Now that the SCCA is only sanctioning one National Challenge per division, the event will be traveling each year to different regions. We have the honor of putting on this event first and hope everyone will come out for the fun 2-day event; not to mention the contingency awards! Also we will see a return of the SigmaTec Enduro Challenge, hosted by our main sponsor SigmaTec Racing! Not just one lap of the circuit, but two full laps for each run. This will test not just the car's ability to cope with the heat of twice the run time, but also challenge the driver's endurance and focus. So some on out and test your mettle! And back in September after a very successful beta event (despite nearly triple digit heat) is the Duel in the Dirt! No stop watches. Just you and your opponent; Head-to-head racing in the dirt. You don't have to beat everyone, just the car across from you. Are you quick enough? Or will the other guy reach his finish line first? It's a shoot-out, RallyCross style! So come on out! Whether you're an old hat at RallyCross with more mud under your car than in your garden, or you've never tried it before and still drive around puddles, every event at OVR is for you! Points Event #1, Season opener: April 21 @ National Trail Raceway PE #2: May 26 @ NTR PE #3: June 30 @ NTR PE #4, Joint event with Western Ohio Region: July 14 @ Roos Farm PE #5, SigmaTec Enduro Challenge: July 28 @ NTR PE #6-7, Great Lakes Division National Challenge: August 25 - 26 @ NTR PE #8, Duel in the Dirt: September 15 @ NTR PE #9: October 20 @ NTR PE #10, Joint event with WOR: November 3 @ Roos Farm Ten events this year, so lots of opportunity to come out and have a good time! We hope to see you out there. Registration for all of the events will be open shortly on MotorsportReg.com. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me. I'm more than happy to help in any way I can. See you there!
  17. I don't think State Troopers, as a rule, have a sense of humor.
  18. I think I saw the Ark of the Covenant in there somewhere.
  19. So there's no real merit to the dispute about his place of birth. He hasn't been influenced by living under another flag, or feeling beholden to another country. It's just a technicality they're trying to call him on. Figures.
  20. Out of curiosity, just how much of his life has Obama spent outside the US? Was it a significant portion, or just the first few hours/days/weeks?
  21. I hate sorting through all the BS and politically motivated news out there. When I want the truth I go to the Onion. They're the only ones that aren't afraid to report on the truth!

If there's so little driving, I'd be worried it might suck. Like Max Payne. Great game with a great story and lots of shooting. The movie? Barely any shooting, lots of BS drama. Sucked ass.
